Jay offered us a good price and performed the work in decent amount of time in the fall of 2014. At time of the deal he said he could install a control device that would talk to our WiFi network so would be able to access control panel via iPad or iPhone application (was extra $3k or so). Well he apparently got the wireless device connected to control panel but could never get it to work. As summer went on in 2015 he became increasingly less responsive. Then 2-3 weeks later after several emails, texts and phone calls would show up 8 o'clock at night saying he was prepared to work through the night and then would come up with another excuse about a part on back order and would be back following day. See above lather rinse repeat - another 3 weeks. etc etc. After season was over he claimed to have installed a new wireless controller and needed $2k more to cover cost claiming it actually cost him $5k. He left the controller with us over winter and closed the pool. In spring I signed his contract and explained I needed everything 100% up and running and once that happens will give him payment on spot. He said he would open week of May 9th. After repeated calls and emails he sends me long email saying once he is done we are going to have the best pool in town etc. That was June 4th. I moved on and told him not to contact me anymore.

The work was done, and it was fine initially. Then they closed the pool for the season, drained it a bit and sealed it. At some point during the winter, one of the pipes burst because water was left in the pipes. Then the pool mechanical stuff was soaked in water. When I noticed what happened in the spring, I called them, and they came out to see what had happened. The pool cover was in bad shape, too, and torn off the hooks.

They told us they needed to do an acid wash, since it was a green pond. They fixed the broken pipe, they set the pool to run the pool 24/7 and left. Since then I've been trying to get them to come back and replace the clips/fix the cover, and let me know what else we need to do.

I ended up calling a different pool company to get it fixed, they did some work, but it still leaks and since the filter had been running 24/7 it now had holes in it since it hadn't been cleaned first. Also our pool is pitted & rough now, and my daughter has been getting scrapes from it.

Now I'm going to have to pay I don't know how many thousand dollars more to get the work redone.

Pristine's work definitely isn't pristine! They keep promising to come out and fix it, but it never happens. I even saw his truck a block down from my house, but he never came. In my last email to him I outlined what was going on again, and told him I wanted him to resolve it/fix it. In our contract it even said whoever looses in court pays the other's legal fees. I sent him a certified letter on August 1 asking for a refund, and we told him we no longer trust his work so need the money to hire someone else to fix it, and gave him till August 15 to get back with us. It's now the 19th, and we still haven't heard from him.
