Productive Tree and Mulch

I had called them to come out and work in our lawn. I was having them edge, put down mulch, and trim our trees. When they were here, they left a 20 yr old and a 25 yr old at our house while they ran to take the tree limbs away. While they were gone I realized that they didn't have enough mulch so I called them and could not get a response. <br /> <br /> Neither boy was with the job more than 4 days and they were being paid very little. I ended up buying them dinner and bringing out a coat and hat to them because the other guys had been gone for roughly 6 hours. <br /> <br /> We called the police and they came out to check into it. After we had decided to drive the boys to their homes, an hour and fifteen minutes away, the police called to tell us that they other guys had finally arrived. It turns out that one had a warrant out for his arrest and the other was very drugged up. <br /> <br /> No one has come to finish the work and my check was cashed. <br />

They stated they would be back to finish the landscaping and remove the stump of the tree they cut down. It is in our contract. When we call them their phone is disconnected and we haven't heard from the since they left.

DAMAGED OUR HOUSE AND NEVER FIXED!  Sent a VERY nasty text to me regarding his stance on the matter (see below). <br /> This company solicited by driving up our driveway to ask if we needed any trees cut down.  After discussing a price, we agreed to let them do the work.  We paid them in cash.  We asked for the trees to be left for us to cut, and for the stumps to be left as we used them too.  <br /> The team who did the work did just what we asked of them, and a little more.  One tree was close to the side of our house and when it was cut down, it hit our gutter and bent it.  Instead of telling us about it, they threw the gutter guards into our basement window area, and left.  My father in law lives with us and was inside when he heard the noise.  We checked it out when we got home and found the bent gutter and guards. <br /> July-I called Joel Lino (owner) regarding the issue.  He claimed he did not know what we were talking about as he personally had not been to our house.  We have his card and the receipt for payment with his business name on it.  He then recalled his team doing work there and agreed to send his gutter guy out to look at the damage.  A few weeks went by without anyone stopping out.  I called Joel again and he again stated he would send a guy out to look at the damage.  Someone did stop by eventually and said the entire length of the gutter would need to be replaced. <br /> September-I called Joel again to discuss this and got no answer.  I called again, I texted him, and FINALLY, his wife, Holly called me about the gutter.  She said she would have someone sent to fix the issue.  This never happened. <br /> October-I called again and was told the gutter guy he sent out no longer worked for the company.  Holly/Joel proceeded to ask me questions regarding the color, length, gutter type, etc.  I sent all the information I could regarding the gutter.  I asked when we could expect the problem to be fixed.  I was then told, in a text from Joel, the following: <br /> October 26, 2014-Quote from Joel Lino:  "Look dude, figure the S**T the F**K out.  I'm not even positive the S**T happened when we were even there.  U are harrassing me and to very candid with u I'm beyond over it.  I have lawyers too and I can guarantee mine is far better than yours.  Contact me again and I will send your local police to your d*** door."  End Quote. <br /> Yes, I still have this text in my phone, along with all of the others as proof that this "man" (loose term) is a HORRIBLE person to do business with!  We absolutely know without a doubt that it was HIS team that did the damage to the gutter.  At first he was willing to help but then did not follow up.  He is supposed to be licensed, bonded, and insured but he also told me very matter of factly that he was not going to put in a claim for this. <br /> I am telling you, do NOT use this man or his company.  If this is how business is done, I would rather not do business with the likes of him.  People like him do not scare me.  The sad part is I don't know what to do to stop him and others like him! <br />

Of the five tree companies that we've used over the past several years, Productive was the most conscientious, professional, neat, and attentive of them all, in large part because of Joel Lino.   His persistence overcame various difficulties, both personnel and equipment, so common to start-up businesses these days.   The end result put him at the head of the pack. <br />

They did all the work we agreed to and the clean up was exceptional.  The work was done in the time frame agreed to and all the work was done well.  As I mentioned, they cleaned up all the mess created by doing the trimming, and they hauled away all the detritus.  They were very attentive to all our suggestions.  We learned about Productive Tree and Mulch from our daughter who lives in the area.  She and a friend both used the firm, and were very satisfied. <br />

I used Joel and his team last year also while he was working for another company.  I am very happy to see him start his own company.  I know he will be very successful.  Why?  Because, he was very professional, prompt and courteous then and is still today.  Last year he did a very large multi-tree removal job for me (+$2,000).  He dropped a very, very large tree with pin point accuracy and removed it quickly and neatly.  It is without reservation or hesitation that I would recommend Joel and his team.       <br /> <br /> <br />
