Professional Cheap Movers

Let's just say it was a nightmare. In a nutshell, though the time and date had been confirmed, I received a call from the office on the day of the move at 23 minutes AFTER the time they were supposed to be at my place wanting to schedule the move. Needless to say, the move did not happen on the confirmed date and they then wanted to schedule for a few weeks out. After insisting that simply was not an option, we agreed to a time and day - 2 days later and I specifically requested they call at 10:00 AM the morning of to confirm we're in sync. When no call came as anticipated, I called the phone number of the owner 9 times to try and reach him to confirm the time for later that same day. When he finally called - he said they were on their way - which is 6 hours ahead of schedule and not the confirmed time. When I rearranged my schedule to be at the "move from" location, he told me they would be waiting. I told him the clock would not start until I was there since this was a time limited set up. Imagine my surprise when the movers arrived expecting me to pay for additional services over and above the agreed to services/coupon. Though the actual movers were pleasant - two of the 3 were not professionals and attempted to move boxes in a way that risked damaging the contents. It's a good thing the 3rd mover saw what was happening and course corrected before any damage could be done.

They were a no show not once, but twice! They failed to call and explain anything about their schedule both times. Isaac had told me they would "definitely be there" after the first no show. Bottom line, not reliable! I have requested a full refund from Angie's List as I had prepaid for this through an Angie's List Deal.

Overall, the move itself went well. The guys did show up about 2-3 hours late, which they said was a problem with the truck. However, they both did an excellent job. They were professional, worked quickly/efficiently, and seemed knowledgeable. So, the biggest problem was more with the owner/manager. I sent a message to them through Angie's List stating what I needed for my move - then they replied telling me I should buy the 2 person 3 hour coupon. I then got a call from the owner/manager a few days prior to the move to confirm. I asked him if there were any additional charges, and he said only if the move lasted longer than the 3 hours, I would have to pay $100 per hour. On the day of the move, after everything was completed, they ended up using an extra hour. I was happy to pay for that, however they said they were told to charge me an additional $70 "travel fee". This did not make sense to me as I had already asked the owner/manager about any additional costs. The guys were nice about it and just had me speak directly to him; after I talked with him, he did take away that additional fee, but it's a stressful thing to have to deal with on a day that is already super stressful. They are definitely the cheapest I've seen, so I would hire them again for this reason but if I were you, I would clarify any additional costs up front.

Overall, it went pretty well. Bought the eComm offer on Angie's List, received confirmation emails from Angie's pretty quickly. Had to call and schedule though by myself though. We called last week and scheduled for today. The truck got stuck somewhere else before our appointment, which happens. The guys were very professional about it, and kept clear communication with us. We appreciate their service and will hire again. Pricing was fair, we bought the offer but we needed more than 2 hours, and we bought materials from them to protect our furniture. Overall price was over $300 for 3 hours+ labor and materials, pretty good deal.

The best part was they were very careful.

The movers were on time and got to work immediately. They were professional and moved quickly. We bought a 3 hour package and paid for an extra 50 minutes and it was worth every penny! They were even willing to change the time when it looked like rain in the afternoon- very flexible.

The move went really smoothly. The staff was very courteous, and professional. They were on time and there was not breakage of anything in transit. They actually got us here and moved in faster that they had originally thought they would. They did a really great job.

The best way to judge a company is to watch. I did and was impressed. I hired them to move my home to a new home we built...and was glad I did. Honesty...rare but found on 2 occasions during the move. 2 different movers found dollar bills laying on the floor in my daughter’s room and they handed them to me. Not only are they honest but hard working, professional, and knowledgeable. I thought I was good at packing. Professional cheap movers put me to shame! Highly recommended!
