This company is not properly licensed and does not have the expertise any good chimney sweep and/or masonry company should have. They do an incomplete sweeping (a later company showed me with a camera the very large and dangerous creosote deposits that Professional Chimney didn't even touch), and they don't understand basics of chimneys, like that they get hot and therefore expand. The masonry repair they did for me was cracking and crumbling after a few months simply from the summer heat (I didn't use the fireplace, because I couldn't -- Pro Chimney had dislodged my damper plate so it was inoperable and wouldn't come back to fix it). Also, they sold me a cap for an unused flue that didn't need one. They assumed (correctly, I'm afraid) that I would never go up on the roof and find out that they'd done this. The later company had to tell me. I only hired them because of the damper problem that Pro Chimney had created, so I'm actually glad that they screwed up my damper -- otherwise I might never have known, until one of those creosote concentrations went up in flames. Put simply: this company is a scam. Do not hire.

Paid $135 for a chimney sweep and inspection deal only to be told that they no longer go through Angie's List and to ask AL for a refund.

We are no longer in service with Angie's List. I can't believe Angie's still lets bad reviews come through when we are no longer affiliated with Angie and we told them we are out. Do not purchase our vouchers through Angie's List because we do not provide services through Angie anymore I'm going to say it again just in case you didn't understand it do not purchase our vouchers through Angie's List.. one more time just in case you did not understand we are no longer in service with Angie... Purchased the coupon through Angie's list, and gave them 3 dates that worked when i bought it. Didn't realize Angie's List does not pass along my phone number, so they just showed up on one of the days I listed. I was not working, and was shocked to see them. They explained, were very nice, and got to work- so it worked out perfectly. Two gentlemen showed up, were polite, explained everything thoroughly, and did not make a mess. Would recommend.

Work was done fine and on time. Only issue was due to 'glitch', my initial request for times that worked best for me was not received, so work was done about 2 weeks later after we agreed on a time. Would use again.

James was very courteous and professional. He explained the situation and gave us two options for correction, covering the trade-offs. The price seemed in line with similar repairs reviewed on Angie's List, so we gave them the go-ahead. They were able to do the job within three days.
