Garage Door Opener Repair or Adjustment
November 2025 | reached out to Pro-Lift Cypress for a minor repair. I paid the technician, Alberto, $180 for the labor and parts using the method he requested, Zelle. Soon after the service was completed, my garage door sensors (which he replaced) stopped functioning correctly. I reached out to the owner, Angela Mason, requesting a follow up visit to which she stated her records did not indicate I paid for services. Turns out her technician, did a job "off the books" and pocketed the money. She insisted to send the same technician out again which I thought was improper due to the distrust he had already demonstrated. Angela said she did not have any other technicians and if it was not the same technician it would be nobody. I requested a refund so that I could pay another company to which she said "you didn't pay me you paid him so I can't refund you." Weeks later Angela agreed to pay me only $85 back but ghosted me after I asked her for an invoice. Please do not use this company.

My company does not authorize work performed or payments collected outside of my standard operating procedures. This matter has been addressed internally, and I am using it as a learning opportunity to continue strengthening both my team and my processes. I apologize that you feel you were ghosted. As communicated, a refund for the labor portion has been issued. I am unable to refund the cost of parts, as the sensors were installed in your home. I genuinely want to ensure every homeowner is properly cared for and previously offered to inspect the garage door and sensors in person to determine the best path forward. My goal has always been to serve customers with integrity, professionalism, and accountability, and I remain committed to doing so. I am grateful to have many satisfied customers in my community and will continue working hard to maintain the trust they place in me."

Alberto was very professional and knowledgeable. My garage door would only open about halfway before stopping. Alberto had it fixed quickly and before leaving he even made sure my other garage door was working well.
