$6,000
Upon my inquiry for stucco work to be done, Dillon went to the house and met with my husband for an estimate. I informed him I was not prepared for that much expense, I would focus on the inside job for now and asked if he did painting and tiling. He said he did and gave us a quote for $6,500. He kept calling and texting me to get the job so I told him I was waiting on some other estimates, we'd get back to him if we decided to go with his company. As a result of wanted to get the job, he lowered his price to $6,000. When I spoke with my regular handyman who quoted me $7,000, I told my husband I didn't feel comfortable with Dillon because he seemed desperate. My husband said he seemed like an honest person and based on their discussion, he would meet my deadline, to give him the job. I listened to my husband and hired Dillon Blaydon with Pro-Painters & More. Dillon was very nice and communicative up until he received the second payment from me. On the 28th of December, Dillon called to tell me he would be done painting the house on the 29th, I could send him the remaining payment for the paint or wait until he finishes that day. He called that morning, told me his father in law passed away, he was on his way to get another crew from a different job site to work on mine; he'd need the $2500 that day. I questioned why $2,500 when he already has 40 percent of the $6000. He sent me an email with breakdown and deposit line showing non-refundable. Not once during our discussions, did Dillon informed me that my deposit was non-refundable. I told him I did not know him and do not trust sending him that much money because it did not cost $3,600 to paint my house. He said he'd be able to break down the contract to however I wanted, but he sent it to show me that he was not going to run away with my money. With that being said, I called my husband who was at the site with him; he stated they were almost done with painting the house so I could send him the money because he didn't seem like the type of person to run. I sent the $2500 via Zelle as I did with the $2,400 to his wife, Autumn. Dillon promised to have the work done by January 3rd. Hours after I sent him the money, he called to tell me there's been a delay; he needs thresholds because my walls are uneven. I told him this should have been discovered before he started the job, but my husband was nearby getting sod, I would have him get the items for him. My husband left to get the thresholds, upon returning within less than two hours, Dillon and his worker were gone and they did not return the following day as scheduled. He then claimed because he needed thresholds and I did not have them available, he had to go finish another job the week of the 3rd, but would have my house done by the 14th of January. I called, he sent me to voicemail then texted me saying he was at dinner with his family. I texted back and forth with him; he started to tell me if I cannot give him time to finish his other jobs that he had lots of, I was welcome to hire another company to do the tile because he hasn't touched any of the tile money. When I questioned what exactly he meant by that when he has 40 percent of that money already and $4,900 out of the $6,000 he quoted us; he did not respond. I messaged him through Angie, nothing! I texted him, nothing. I called his wife, Autumn since I had her number from the Zelle transfer; she claimed they have a lot of work, she would schedule my paint to be complete on the 28th of January since she sees that I have paid the entire job, but the tile deposit was nonrefundable. I told her Dillon did not mention the nonrefundable to me, she told me it's in the contracts. I did not get a contract until 5 days after that deposit. How was I supposed to know that as the customer? She told me they could not schedule my tile until Feb 4th. I told her I was in the midst of getting estimates from other company because the house has been sitting for two months as a result of all this. I hired another company who is almost done installing my tiles. They told me the worker did not know what they were doing with the tile work so they had to remove the installed tiles to redo the whole house. As a result of all of this, I had to go spend an additional $4,350 to get the tiles done. I will take legal actions against Dillon if he doesn't refund back my money. I don't know how he has a 5 star rating with this kind of customer service and dishonest behaviors. This is not acceptable.

I was pleasantly surprised at their work. Having had more than one poor experience with Florida contractors, I was hesitant to expose myself again. When I contacted them, the secretary Autumn was polite and professional and very accommodating to our needs and time table. A young man Dillon performed the work to a “T” and made several suggestions free of charge that I found helpful. I will be using them again for our future projects!
