Tony was great to work with. Tony painted and added cabinets, completed the backsplash in our kitchen, painted our entire house, painted interior doors, replaced and painted exterior doors, plus so much more. Tony will be starting on our bathroom remodel in a few days. Tony has been great to work with and his work is phenomenal. Tony is our go to guy.

It went well. Tony performed basic wall preparation and explained the process. He and another Tony arrived when they said they would and went right to work. Tony asked me to walk around after the walls were dry and insure I was happy with the work; he asked that I mark with blue painters tape anything I found that needed to be addressed. There were a couple of minor areas and he promptly took care of them. He asks if we wanted nail holes left in place or if they needed to be prep'ed. My wife and I are pleased with the work and plan to have more painting performed by Pro Painters Plus

Polite, friendly, showed up on time, extremely accommodating. I mentioned seeing some paint on baseboard and explained that I'm a perfectionist and it was taken care of immediately. My entrance foyer is perfectly painted. Beautiful clean fresh lines.

It went well. However, after the paint dried I noticed a couple slight blemishes. But, an overall good job. They were punctual and friendly.

The painters did a terrific job. There was a lot of work to be done and they were able to finish the job fairly quickly. They paid careful attention to detail. There was some confusion about the estimate, but to be fair, I asked for extra work. My suggestion is to be clear about any extra work that you may need and ask for a price. It is difficult for Tony to figure out how much time it will take his crew to complete the job.

The original estimate was for $2778. After a solid week of work it looked they may be behind schedule so I called to ask and Mr. Rouzer said everything was on budget. The very next day he called back and said no, they in fact were way over budget and the estimated hours were going to push the cost $1,000 more than the agreed price. There were a few extras I had asked for and even though he originally thought even with those extras they would probably come in under budget, we agreed on $3278 as a final cost. Because of the time overrun some of the workers also ended up working on other jobs on some days instead of finishing ours, so our entire first floor was a mess for over 2 weeks. Some of the work was good, some was average, and some was just bad. The crew was polite and seemed to work hard, the work just wasn’t very good and was sloppy in many respects. Several of them I think were fairly new hires so that may have been an issue. I probably could have seen my way to either not submitting a review or at least giving a C rating if Mr. Rouzer had owned up to the mistakes and stood behind his work and at least fixed the egregious mistakes. Attached are pictures of two mistakes that they would not fix. After making the final payment we discovered a pretty large gap between one wall and an HVAC vent. They did not put the vent cover back on, so it was not obvious until I did. I sent Mr. Rouzer the attached picture and asked that they fix it. He stated that nobody on the crew would come back to our house and he refused to make the appropriate fix. I had to hire another contractor to finish his work. In March 2016 I noticed hundreds of tiny bubbles in the paint on the front door. As the weather was getting colder at the time and it had been raining, I was very clear that they should only paint the door if the weather was acceptable, and the head of his crew said it was. After the last contact with him I didn’t expect him to fix it, and he didn’t. He actually blamed us for their mistake and said we had insisted they paint it and warned us that there could be problems, which is completely false. He wouldn’t even call me back, just a few snarky text messages blaming us and that it wasn’t their fault. I will now also have to pay a competent painter to fix the door which I’ve gotten estimates of about $400. Besides those two glaring mistakes there were numerous other smaller issues never fixed with paint left on the floor (newly refinished hardwood floors, so I know it was new paint) and fixtures, using white caulk around the front door instead of clear caulk as I had given them written instructions for(and getting it all over the brick), painting old caulk between fixtures and walls instead of using new caulk(it started cracking within weeks), missing various spots all over every room - really too many items to mention. They fixed some issues before they were paid like some really bad ceiling cut-in but there were so many it was hard to catch them all. It just didn’t look like a professional painter had done the work. It seems Mr. Rouzer was more interested in getting paid than doing the job right, and during the job he got impatient several times with me when I mentioned items that needed fixing and he kept saying they needed to move on to other jobs. I think we tried to be polite and courteous to everyone who worked there. We certainly had a lot of questions and tried to make sure all the issues we saw were fixed. Honestly it would have turned out even worse if we hadn’t been as particular as we were. I did make one mistake with not moving furniture to the middle of the bedroom before they started. Other than that I really don’t know why Mr Rouzer would not stand behind his work and at least fix the obvious problems.

"To all Angie's List Members, I was wondering when this ugly dragon would going to raise his head. And yes I under estimated the job. But....there was a clause in the contract for an hourly rate for extra coats of paint, And it took extra coats to cover original colors which took more time. I bit the bullet offed to cut the cost in half. Customer agreed. And yes I had a couple of new painters. But in there defense they did a fine job, not perfect, but differently not sloppy. At the end of the job my Lead Painter spent 2 long days going over punch out list which was over the top. Any paint that was on the floor was from previous paint work that we could not get up because it was probably oil based paint. As far as the HVAC thing/vent whatever that did not get fixed. It was not on the punch out list or pointed out to my Lead Painter or Myself till after we had completed job, finally. At that point we have bent over backwards for this client and had moved on to other projects. Now about the tiny bubbles on the front door. Yes I refused to fix the problem and this is why. Number one, I painted it for free because I could not guarantee it would not do that. Winter was settling in a we had several days of rain. The front door had no "Storm Door" which made it exposed to the elements. I did not want to paint it and had brought to the wife attention why we should wait till spring. But....she insisted it be done!! So we painted it, and did I say, for FREE!! Now, to simply cut this short and simple. They were not pleasant people to work for. Their house was very cluttered and dirty which slowed my painters down. The wife was loud and obnoxious. They took advantage of the excellent price I "Estimated". Took picky to a whole new lever. But you all know the term, you can't shine a turd. But we sure tried. Now we do stand behind our work and will fix it if we can. I didn't go back because I just didn't like them, sorry. It the truth. Hope my response helps redeem us. We really do great work and if we like you. We'll bring you donuts in the morning. Have a Blessed Day. Tony Rouzer Pro Painters Plus 502-533-2961"

The 2 Painters were courteous and kind and they were careful not to bring dirt into my house. They paid great attention to detail: They prepped the walls by sanding and filling before they started. I chose bold colors and they made sure the walls were coated evenly with no light spots peeping out.

Tony Rouzer along with his 2 crew members arrived each day fully prepared to do the painting of several rooms in my home. They were very quiet, polite, thorough,,,no chitchat,,,no loud music,,,efficiently and professionally performed the day's tasks. Each evening they cleaned and put away their tools and equipment - ready for the next day's work.
There were several rooms to paint with tall ceilings, crown molding, baseboards, doors, fireplace mantels, windows, bookcases. A lot of work. The crew took care of moving furniture and paintings, lamps, and numerous decorator items. When the job was finished they assisted in returning furniture and small items back. One of the crew members even washed the kitchen cabinets! Mr. Rouzer went out of his way to shop for and install a much better wall hanging system for the very large hand painted screen on the living room wall. One of the crew members even washed the ceiling fans! There were a few mistakes (literally only 2 small spots missed on ceiling) and when pointed out, Mr. Rouzer immediately corrected. Oh, did I mention he brought me some doughnuts!
The price for doing the work was very competitive and fair. The value far exceeded the price. The work they did was meticulous, beautiful, without a doubt the best painting contractor I have ever hired.
I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Rouzer and Pro Painters Plus. The experience of working with Pro Painters Plus was worry free. Excellent job, well done.
Thank you for reading,
Shirley J Carmichael

Tony contacted me within a day of my purchase to discuss the project and schedule the work. He did not visit my home first because of the travel time from Jeffersonville, IN to Fisherville KY. I was fine with that and I emailed floor plan and square footage so we could estimate the amount of paint needed. The work was scheduled within 2 weeks of my initial contact and started when requested.
The deal was for 3 painters for $699 (24 man hrs). I needed additional time to get the job done and he just charged me for the additional hours at the discounted rate. The crew was friendly and did a good job. They cleaned up at the end of the day. The project took 3 days in total and the house looks much nicer with fresh paint. I felt I got a very good deal for the amount of work needed.
The only small issue I had were the outside corners where there were different paint colors on each wall. The lines were not as clean as I would have liked. I brought it to Tonys attention and they attempted to remedy it, but only had regular brushes which made the task difficult. I was able to touch them up with a paint pad and it is fine now.
Overall I am very pleased and would definitely hire Pro Painters Plus again.
:We had a fantastic experience with Tony! I was the general contractor when I built my house 20 years ago, so I have some experience dealing with contractors, and I can say that Tony is one of the best I have ever dealt with. From the beginning, he was very upfront about everything and he gave me an exceptional quote. I was a little hesitant because it seemed a little too good to be true, but I am very happy we chose Tony. He gave me some flexibility to remove the wallpaper myself to save some money, and basically said they would take care of whatever I didn't do, and that's exactly what he did. He and his crew arrived precisely when he said they would, worked so quietly so as to not even wake our 2yr old son, put up plastic to keep the dust from traveling outside the kitchen, and got right to work. They sanded and prepped the walls with the skill of experienced drywall installers. It was so good, they ended up better than new! I could just tell by the way they worked that they all had exceptional attention to detail and took pride in their work.
His crew was easy to work with, and they enabled us to still use our kitchen while they worked, and accommodated our requests very nicely. They were all respectful and completely minimized the impact this had in our lives the three days they were here. They finished the project exactly when Tony told me they would, and it couldn't look better. All along, Tony kept me informed, and practically answered all my questions before I could ask them, right down to the details of how they were going to make it look so good. Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about Tony and Pro Painters Plus, and am looking around to see what I can get painted next! If I knew things were going to go this smoothly and look this good, I would have had this done years ago!
I can't recommend Tony enough. GREAT JOB!!
(P.S. - I got 3 other quotes from other painters that were also highly reviewed on Angie's List. While I won't mention names here, I'll just say that not only were their quotes exorbitantly high, but they also told me that that project would take twice as long! There were some other details about them as well that just left me really thankful that we decided to use Tony! )

not sure about price, haven't had a room painted in many years. This was a large complex kitchen with many drawers, also many cabinets with removable glass. and cabinets. All the fronts were removed to be cleaned and painted, a big job. There were 3-4 workers who worked quietly and smoothly together, very professional. I was very impressed.
Purchased the big deal. Tony contacted immediately and told they were booed 7 weeks out. At 6 weeks contacted and He came and gave an estimate and the following week started the work. They did a good job and finished the work below the estimate. Tony also got great price for the Benjamin Moore paint that was used.
