Very satisfied.  I did not end up buying the property, b/c it was just in too poor shape.  But, that was not Shipshape's fault.  The owner did all the communicating w/ me and inspection work himself.  He is extremely professional and knowledgeable.  I found him to be very honest and punctual.  He does what he says he'll do.  He's very responsive.  He'll tell you himself he's not the cheapest, but I wasn't looking for the cheapest.  I was willing to pay a fair price for superior service, and that's what I got.  Would use again myself and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

This was my first time hiring a home inspector and I was absolutly satisfied with Scott. I could tell right off he knew exactly what he was talking about, and was very professional yet personable. I felt that he gave me a very fair price for the job he did! I was specifically impressed with the use of his infrared camera to check for any moisture intrusion. I am a first-time home buyer and I contacted Scott to perform the inspection on my new townhouse. The building had some known issues and I wanted to be sure that they had been resolved. Additionally, I wanted radon, mold and indoor air quality testing, to ensure that I wasn't moving into a "sick" building. Scott was able to accommodate my schedule on very short notice and he's really great to work with! He gave me all kinds of tips and helpful advice. Working with him was very educational and informative. I highly recommend Scott for all of your home inspection needs. And though some of the tests (such as radon, mold, etc) cost extra, they are well worth the price to ensure that you are investing in a safe and healthy home for you and your family.

Scott took air samples from our basement and outside (as a control sample) and a sample from under our basement carpet. He sent them to a lab for testing and we had results within 48 hours. He also inspected our furnace, pointing out several problems, and gave us ideas of other things we could do to improve airflow in our basement.
