"In reference to this complaint, I want to respond fully. Firstly, the member's window couldn't have been cracked in the installation. We do not install window guards anywhere close to that area that was cracked. When she threatened to deduct the amount of the window from us, we have no choice but to oblige. Unfortunately, when this happens, customers can literally go to any vendor, even people they know. For something that costs us a smaller amount of money, a vendor of their choosing could charge hundreds more. So, we had to repair the glass which was not our responsibility to begin with. In reference to the garage door, we did install a keypad for her as a courtesy. She claims that after spending that amount of money she should be "warranted" with a keypad. But with buying anything, each item that is not included doesn't come with it no matter how much money is spend. For example, if you buy a new car and don't pay for a sunroof and you want one, it doesn't matter if you spent $20,000 or $200,000 for the car...the dealership is going to tell you that it is additional money. In any case, we did it as a courtesy to maintain a positive image with the customer. Finally, in reference to the shutter, she is correct in the fact that we could not send our installer out there at the time that was requested. Mike did pull her paperwork and we told her that she would be first priority as soon as our installer returned. We can't just send any installer to fix a shutter since only certain technicians are trained on that product. Michael didn't say he was the owner... he said he was the service manager. He is the highest in service and unfortunately, there is nothing myself, Michael or anyone else could have done for this customer since she wanted something we simply could not provide at the time. We had every intention of servicing the shutter, but she proceeded with a different company and reversed charges on her credit card. We regret we weren't able to service her at a time frame she was requesting, but after fixing her window which we did not crack, giving her a free keypad for her garage door, and offering her payment terms nobody else in the city would accept, we feel that the customer is being very unreasonable. She did not contact us, send us a bill for service, or even inform us of what she was doing. She simply reversed the credit card charges without any contact to us and when we tried to contact her after to resolve the matter, she never answered or called back. Contact from Angie's List was the first we've heard of the matter since the initial phone call. Also, she signed a contract stating she understands that there is a lien on all products and could be presented on the property as well until paid in full, so there is no theft of personal property for product removal if that is the route chosen. We can present her signature if so needed."
