PuroClean in Stevensville has now worked with me through two separate flood disasters to my home. In both instances they were professional, accessible, and did excellent work. Past reviews on Angie’s List (through 2016) May not reflect the company’s high quality performance under new ownership. I would recommend this PuroClean to family and friends.

Not a happy or satisfied customer. PuroClean from my understanding is a franchise with each franchise servicing a specific area, the Puroclean franchise serving my area (Waldorf, MD) was more interested in finding mold in my 40+ year hold than removing the water from a severe storm. I expected certain work to be done, and I expected to be fully informed on what work was needed. What I discovered was Puroclean provided my insurance company with more information than what was provided to me, Puroclean arranged for a "hygienist" to come to my home to test the air quality without informing me of said arrangements. Bottom line my home is over 40 years old THERE WILL BE MOLD, I agreed to have Puroclean come to my home to help remove the damaged material (drywall, flooring, furniture and other things) what I got was a franchisee primed and geared to find mold, primed to take as much money as possible from my insurance company. A week into the "cleanup" i invited PuroClean to leave my home. <br /> After my dealings with Puroclean, and in search for a company finish the cleanup job, I soon discovered all companies that I spoke with were more interested in 'mold remediation' that assisting in restoring my home. I suggest the following: Home owner work with remediation company do not allow your insurance company to contract contract the work out; Researching a remediation company proved to be pointless as the industry as a whole will apply fear tactics to get the work; Mold is no joke so hire your own independent mold tester; Divide the work (cleanup, repair) do not bundle, bundling is bad. <br /> That's my $.02 and I do not fault PuroClean alone, I fault the entire industry for my bad experience . I suspect some PuroClean franchisees are outstanding and provide excellent service, but my experience was horrible. Remember that you have the final say as to what happens in and to your home, and who does what work. Do not allow fear to make force you into quick decision. <br /> One last thing Puroclean hung large garbage bags over areas where drywall was removed, these bags were taped to wall using painters tape. The bags were to serve as a barier to prevent mold spores from spreading. Painters tape and garbage bags REALLY?!?!. <br />

They suggested that our contractor remove additional part of drywall and floor boards but determined that PuroClean's services were not required for remediation. <br />

I found PuroClean on Angie's List and am so pleased that I called them! Just a few days after buying a new home, a torrential downpour overwhelmed a storm drain and rainwater entered my basement through the basement door, soaking the carpet. I called PuroClean and spoke with Lauren just before 10am. By noon, Erickson was at the house assessing the damage. He provided a recommendation and an estimate. By 2pm, Zach arrived to start the job. He pulled up the water damaged carpet, making sure to do the cuts in the straightest and cleanest line possible so adding new carpet back would be less difficult, and two pieces of baseboard. He also humored my overly excited 6-year old daughter who was eager to watch him work. I was impressed by how courteous everyone was and how they appeared to work as a team unit. They were courteous, responsive, and did a great job. Hopefully I won't need them again, but if I do, I will call PuroClean.

First of all the technician showed up when they said he would. He was respectful of my wife and myself. He explained to us what had happened and what they were going to do to mitigate the problem, the equipment they were going to use and the amount of time it was going to take from start to finish to do the job. they came back daily to check on the process of the clean up, and the price stayed the same from the original quote to the time they came and dropped off the invoice. <br />

I called 3 companies for estimates for the job. Puroclean was the only one to give me a written estimate. I wanted to get the work done asap so Mickey worked late to get me the written estimate on the same day he was here to assess the work. It was so helpful in a stressful situation such as extensive water damage to have everything spelled out. Mickey was very responsive to my emails and questions. He and a technician arrived when expected, did the work quietly and efficiently, and there were no surprises. He did not take advantage of my stress to push any extras and was never patronizing (single women know of what I write!) Even though the work was in the crawlspace, I noticed a wonderful fresh smell in the house the next morning.. I only wish I had called Puroclean at the beginning of my ordeal with the water damage. I am so impressed with this company that I have recommended them to my sister. I think they are working hard to establish a good reputation and they are doing all the right things in my opinion. <br />

Crew arrived promptly, worked quickly and efficiently to remove paneling, insulation, wet carpet. They set up dehumidifiers and fans after spraying for mold. They were respectful and responsive to questions. Price was fair and explained fully. They came back several times to monitor moisture.

It all went great. All items were carefully packed and kept at their warehouse where we were able to visit whenever necessary to retrieve items needed. Delivery of all our possessions to our new location was arranged promptly. Everything arrived in good shape.

Puroclean showed up quickly and were professional and reassuring during what was a very stressful time. They turned what seemed like overwhelming damage into short work with little disruption to the rest of the house. The man presiding over the work actually gave me his cell phone number and pledged "not to rest until he got the job done" and he stayed true to his word. Very calming and able to manage a dirty and scary situation with widespread mold due to saturation of insulation, drywall, carpeting, and baseboards.

Everything went great! Work was completed in a timely matter. I called into the PuroClean office and was greeted with a warm voice in which answered every question i had regarding my claim. Technicians, Wes and Tim were sent out to my residence promptly the same day. They were very respectful and helpful. <br />

I was rainig the evenig and I did not think anyone was commi and PuroClean call to tell me they were outside my house. They came in and they got started cleanig my house. They were my heros. They knew just what to do. They saved my house from mold and more water damage. They stabilized my home. Thank you PuroClean. Very good excellent
