We were referred to Pustai by a friend after our regular guy decided to retire early last year, at age 82. They are wonderful to work with and we feel lucky to have found a good company to work with again. We had our air conditioner installed 7 years ago and Kyle services it today and told us it was working brilliantly and it didn't need anything. This is the greatest reference, when a servicer could make something up but told you everything was running well. Kyle was even early to the appointment. The price may seem higher but that also includes a prepaid cleaning of our boiler in the autumn, service plan. We highly recommend this company.

We called them in to do a tune-up on our furnace before winter. Of course, the service guy found cracks in our heat exchanger and told us we needed a new furnace (although the furnace was over 20 years old). We agreed that we needed to replace the exisitng unit, agrred on a price, signed the contract, and scheduled a date. Installation was on-time and went very smoothly. Technicians were very professional and cleaned up afterthemselves. I would highly recommend.

My first contact with Pustai was July 19th. I was down two pounds of freon and the system would frost up and stop cooling. The service man, Steve, carefully explained every option. We decided to just try some freon, in case it was really slow leak. Two weeks later, the system was down again with the same problem. I was impressed that Pustai sent Steve back the next day for service. Steve and I concurred that the system needed replacing. We made an appointment for the next day. Later Steve called back and asked if he could start that afternoon. Obviously I said yes. He arrived on time and immediately went to work. I supervised the whole time and I was very impressed with his professionalism. His sheet metal work was excellent. Half way through the job he was joined by a co-worker who also worked in a skilled professional manner. On arrival, about 11:30 am, Steve estimated he would be done around 4:00 pm. The job was completed, including all clean up and haul away by 4:15 pm. A job being completed on time was a very pleasant surprise. At no time did Steve try to sell me unneeded devices or services. In fact, he was helpful with many time and money saving tips. Overall, I was impressed with their service.

George Pustai and his staff could not have been more comforting, responsive, helpful and a breath of fresh air! The supply boot on duct work leading to the register within a bathroom had been installed by an inferior HVAC company subcontracted by the developer of my parent's 15 yr old town home. At the ripe age of 80, they purchased this single level home for an easier maintenance "free" lifestyle. After replacing the vinyl flooring in kitchen and two baths recently, we discovered the sheet metal boot and sleeve leading to the register on a bathroom floor had completely disintegrated. After pulling out the razor edged shards of metal piece by piece we realized the duct work had been sitting "on" sand under the concrete slab foundation. Moisture accumulated in the sand from a seeping toilet with a cracked flange in the 2nd bath which we also discovered during this flooring project. This was so infuriating it lead to dozens of calls to the builder (didn't care - the home is nearly 15 years old) the association president (could offer nothing but sympathy since several other homeowners had faced multiple poor construction issues of their own), a trip to the city building department inquiring about the building codes (small town, not much encouragement there) and of course several calls to HVAC contractors for estimates. The project was either too small or too complicated (breaking up concrete slab foundation in entire bathroom!) I remembered the Pustai name from my childhood. George Pustai Sr. had been our neighborhood HVAC guy. His son George worked with him since he was a child and I recalled hearing what a wiz kid he was. Thank our lucky stars George Jr kept up the business after his dad passed on. We talked about several options over the phone, he came out the next morning to look at the situation and the next day had it completed in a couple hours by cutting and forming a custom boot to fit into the 4 in x 6 in register area. He completely sealed the entire area under the boot and sleeve as well as around the interior. I just can't compliment them enough. We may be at the point of replacing the furnace and A/C unit soon. I won't even consider calling anyone else. Thank you for saving the day and settling my nerves, George. You are still the wiz kid I heard so much about.

Of three companies I contacted on Angie's List, one didn't respond, one sent an email quote with no follow up, and Pustai called, came out for a free estimate, and followed up. Their estimate was very detailed and they explained a lot about the installation and options that we never would've known had they not come out. Very professional. Their estimate was the same as the email company, but since the email company didn't follow up at all, we have no clue if we got all the "extras." Plus, the email estimate did not include a cleaning and check of the furnace and a/c. Pustai came out on time, performed the work as promised for the price agreed, and cleaned up everything. They sent two people, so the work was completed in a timely manner. They explained how everything worked and told us to call if we had any questions. So, far, no problems or questions.

They arrived at my home when they said they would be there and they were professional. They got busy and fixed the problem with ease. I had a previous HVAC technician tell me that I would have to replace my radiators but they were able to fix the problem without that being necessary. I thought their price was reasonable and they ended up saving me a lot of money.

The company is very professional and up-front about everything. They carefully take the time to explain how everything is working and what may be needed to maintain the system. They always take the time to ask if we have any questions.
