Quality Exteriors

There is a leak that has been hard to locate. They have come out multiple times, but have finally fixed the leak and will do some ceiling repair as well. These have been at no cost to me. They are very polite and honest. Matt is the owner.

The job went very well.  With an old house there are always surprises and they we helpful and responsive.  All work was done promptly and professionally.  The crews were professional and trustworthy.  We had very specific requests for vinyl trim that looked like original wood trim and they worked with us to achieve our goal.  We would use them again.

We thought they forgot about us then all of a sudden a pallet with all the materials shrink-wrapped with the materials for the new roof appeared in the driveway. About 2 weeks later and an accidental bump into the pallet in my new Mazda3 getting out of the garage one morning, 8 Spanish-speaking men showed up and did the entire roof in approximately 8 hours. It rained extremely hard the very next day but we had no leaks. The only recommendation I would make about Quality is to improve their scheduling the actual contractors doing the work and communicate some warning to their customers before the contractors arrive.

We chose Quality Exteriors because they were willing and able to coordinate our roofing, gutter and painting needs. The roof was replaced quickly, workers were professional and cleaned up afterwards. We had a small leak around our chimney after a large storm. Quality Exteriors had workers here the next day to address the problem and we have had no more leaks! The gutters and gutter guards look great and we've had no problems with them. We also had one exterior side of our home painted, the painter was very professional and thorough. <br /> Matt was our point of contact with Quality Exteriors. He was excellent about keeping us posted on where we were in the process, working with our insurance company, and staying on budget. The final price was actually a little lower than the original quote. They were an easy company to work with and we would definitely use them again! <br />

They helped me, they met with the insurance man when they came. I believe it is because of them that I got a new roof. Their clean up and service was excellent. I have no complaints and I have been in construction for 60 years.

Jim, the sales representative, came and inspected tour roof.  He said we had hail damage and could make an insurance claim.  The he offered to come back and meet with the insurance adjuster when he came to do his appraisal.  Jim brought us roof tile samples so we could choose a color.  Then they gave us addresses where specific roof colors had been installed so we could see what that color looked like on a whole roof.  He stayed in touch with us every step of the way.  They didn't ask for any money until the shingles were delivered, and as it turned out they began tearing the old shingles off that very day.  It was all done in 1 1/2 days.  The roofers cleaned up after themselves very well.  They missed putting a rain guard above the air conditioning unit, but when Jim came to do the walk through inspection with my husband and was told that, he got the roofers back right away to install the rain guard.  We couldn't have had any better customer service and we are totally satisfied with the whole job.  Jim will take care of you in every detail. <br />

They did very good but they weren't timely. I feel that the company didn't follow up very well, like they were suppose to pick up the nails in the yard and that kind of stuff, they didn't leave with a mess but they didn't get all the nails in the yard. They never came back and pick book of samples, either for the roof or the painting chips. They were very good about things like making sure that they got the right color on my gutters and stuffs that they let me choose on that. Their price is reasonable.

They did an excellent job.  The entire job took two days to complete and the crew was amazing. <br />

When the salesman came to the house he told me that they could fix everything on the house that was damage by the storm.  If it was listed on the insurance claim they could fix it.  Their payment would be the entire insurance check plus the deductible that we were responsible to pay for anyway.  We agreed to let them do the work.  What they failed to mention was that THEY don't actually do the work.  They are contractors and they contract it out.  Furthermore, there was a lack of communication between us.  I never knew when someone was going to show up to do work.  I like to know these things. For instance, I had to refuse the roofing material one day because I did not know they were coming.  they wanted to put the materials in our driveway and our driveway had a Motorhome sitting in it.  There was no place for the roofing supplies to go. Had we been notified that they were being delivered, we could have made sure they had a place to put them.  After this incident, I asked to be notified when supplies or work was scheduled to be done.  So imagine my surprise when,a couple of weeks later, the roofers showed up and blocked my driveway and garage so that I could not get out.  After overcoming a language barrier, they realized they were going to have to move their trucks and equipment so I could get my car out of the garage.  Again, another annoyance that could have been avoided, if someone had notified me that they were coming.  There were other problems as well.  When the roofers were working on the side of the house that our A/C units were on, they placed plywood and other materials on them to protect them.  The company rep came by and I asked if that was safe to do. I was worried they would damage our units.  He assured me that they do this all the time and that our units would not be damaged.  We have 2 units and one of them was brand new at the time. Well, they damaged our brand new unit.  And an A/C repairman was called in to come make the repair.  Quality Exteriors did make this right. There were lots of "little" aggrevations along the way, but if told about them Quality Exteriors did fix the problems.  Which brings me to my next point.  I had to point things out to the company representative.  He would come to the door and ask if certain repairs had been done.  I always wondered why he could not check to see if they were done.  Like, do his own inspections.  He was the contractor after all. Sometimes he would think jobs had been done that had not been done.  He had no idea because he did not take the time to inspect it for himself.  Yet, I would see him in the neighborhood quite often.  I also did not care for the way "collections" were made.  I like to be billed or at least handed an invoice before payments are made.  I can remember taking my son to school one morning and coming home to find the company rep parked on the road in front of my house.  I pulled into my garage and had just stepped out of my car when I was startled to see this man standing in my garage.  He wanted a me to write him a check right then and hand it to him.  I explained to him that I was not prepared at that moment to do so.  And was somewhat surprised he was asking for it when the job was not completed and we had not received any invoice from the company.  He explained to me that since we had received our first insurance check, they were asking for it to help cover their costs for the roofing supplies.  I asked him to call or come back later and I would have a check for him.  He did.  My problem was this: I don't like the manner in which he came to collect.  He could have let me get out of my car and into my house and then he could have come to the front door.  He could have called and told me that payment was expected. Or better yet, they could have sent me an invoice, by mail for the partial service that had been done.  When I received the invoice, I could have called with my questions.  After the work was completed, he came to the door and asked for payment again.  I do not like doing business this way.  I want to be billed, or at least invoiced.  I do not like someone showing up unannounced to my door to collect money.  There were just a lot of irritations that I dealt with from this company.  However, if I specifically pointed out something that was not done, done correctly, or if the workers damaged something, Quality Exteriors did try to make it right.  But they never seemed to notice these things themselves.  To this day, we have ladder damage on our dormers from their workers.  I did not report this to them because this was their final job and I was tired of dealing with them.  However, if the contractor was as diligent about inspecting the work done as he was in collecting money owed, they would have seen and repaired the damage without having to be told.

Small business owner bonded and licensed.  Great customer service.  They followed up with our insurance company each step of the way.  Local office staff very helpful.  Would use this roofer again. <br />

I contacted Quality Exteriors to inspect my roof after a recent hailstorm at my house. Their salesman Bo came out to give me a free inspection and determined that I indeed had hail damage on my roof. He was very helpful and informative with walking me through the process from start to finish even meeting with my insurance adjuster. He provided me with credentials for Quality Exteriors including certificate of insurance & license. I signed the contract, picked out my 30 year shingle color, & it was only a matter of time before his crew came to install my gorgeous new roof. It only took them one full day & part of a morning to tear off my old roof & replace with the new one. They cleaned up everything very nice once they were done taking extra caution to make sure there were no nails left in my driveway. Bo even came by the next day to check the roof himself & make sure I was happy. I have referred several of my friends & family to Quality Exteriors who have also had positive experiences & will definitely use them again in the future. <br />

My roof started leaking after a recent hail storm and Quality Exteriors came out the same day and covered my roof to prevent further leakage and damage. They also checked my roof, attic, shed and the interior of my home for all damage caused by the leakage.  They directed me to call my insurance company and make an appointment to have an insurance adjuster come and take a look at my roof and  they would be happy to meet witht the adjuster on my behalf. They met with the adjuster, TWICE, the first time the adjuster wanted to spot repair my roof. My guy from Quality Exteriors said, "no" The whole roof was bad and I should call for a second opinion.  Quality Exteriors came back and met with the adjuster a second time, made sure all of the damage was addressd again, and this time the entire roof was replaced.  I heard my State Farm insurance adjuster  praising Quality Exteriors work, work ethic and telling them how enjoyable they were to deal with/do business with.  <br /> The storm in our area was pretty bad, at least 45-50% of my subdivision alone had to have roof replacement, Judging from the signs all over the area, Quality Exteriors was doing a pretty good majority of the work, yet, still got me in and out.  The roofers showed up as I was leaving for work on Friday June 21, 2013 and they were cleaning up when I got home. <br /> My roof is gorgeous, they made my chimney spout and all of the other spouts coming out of my roof match up with all of the new turbines, etc.  The curb appeal has improved tenfold. the workmanship is GRADE A. Once they cleaned up, you would never have known they were there except for a beautiful new roof. <br /> The roof is important, yes, but I never would've have gotten it without the help of Quality Exteriors, they knew I needed a new roof and they stayed on top of it.  I would never have known the difference if it had been left to me.  I didn't have to do a thing after making a couple of phone calls ~except pick out my shingles.  The service was incredible, from dealing with the ins. adjuster, to showing me completed roofs with similar brick color to help me make my shingle selection, to checking on the roof as it was being completed and assuring me that they will still be there in the event I run into any problems.  I have recommended them to my neighbors, whom also used them and I will recommend them to anyone who asks. I wouldn't use anyone else. <br />

The final outcome to the services was good.  There were delays at first, and it took a number of follow up calls to get the final work done.  However, the owner stepped in am got the job finished correctly.  I am please with overall job and my only complaint was the time it took to complete the services.  However, there were a number of bad storms that created a substantial demands for services. 

The entire process of contacting and working with Quality Exteriors was very good. Following my intial phone call to set up and appointment for an estimate, working with the company was easy. Everyone I talked to was professional and courteous. Their estimated price for the work was very competitive with other bids I had recieved. The workers arrived on the day they were scheduled to be there and immediately began to remove my existing roof and vents. Within hours they had the old roof off and were putting the new roof felt and shingles back in place. The crew had placed large tarps on the ground next to my house and all of the old shingles and felt paper were dropped there. Any stray piece of material was cleaned up before the crew left. The work performed looks great. I have no complaints and would recommend Quality Exteriors to friends and family that are considering have a roof replaced. <br />

Quality Exteriors was great. They did a honest appraisal on the condition on my roof and helped when the insurance agents came to do their inspection.  I learned that having a person knowledgeable on roof damage from storms can help when making an insurance claim. This company was professional, performed the job as contracted, and cleaned the work site. My new roof is everything that I hoped it would be. I would recommend them to my friends and would hire them again. <br />

The company responded promptly to my request for information and an estimate for putting on a new roof.  The representative even drove me around our neighborhood to show me different types of shingles their company had installed so I could see different color and style choices.  The guys who came to put the roof on were professional, extremely nice and did a great job cleaning up the nails and trash.  We had one minor miscommunication regarding the placement of a turbine, but they came out the next business day and within 90 minutes, the turbine was moved and you'd never even know that it had been moved.  The work was excellent.  What really impressed me was that the rep spoke so highly of the guys who worked for him and later, the guys (without the rep around) who put on the roof spoke highly of the company.  I highly recommend Quality Exteriors. 

Crew showed up a day early, after recieving approval.  They were quick and efficient.  Found that the crew didn't completely understand the direction about repair of hole, and removal of vents.  I had to give additional instruction.  Also note that the hole was shingled over, and they had to cut the new shingles to repair it, after I pointed out to them that the work was not completed correctly.  Also note that the quality of wood used in the repair is not the same quality as the original roofing material.  I expected wood instead of wafer board to be used in the repairs.  After the estimate, I understood that vents for the furnace and water heater would be replaced.  Instead, they were repainted.  After the estimate, I understood the flashing around the chimney would be replaced.  Instead, it was repainted.  I'm not completely sure the patio roof repair will be satisfactory...I'll find out with the next hard rain.  I also found where a block of decking popped out from beneath the shingles.  I was told to call them to come back out as my convenience for them to repair it, since the crew had already gone for the day. <br /> The repairs are also not completed to the same quality as to which I would have done them myself.  I really expected more from a professional company.  The original estimate notes that they would furnish the permit, yet I had to pay a $50 permit fee?  Also, I asked for the 5% Angieslist discount, and did not receive it.  I was told that it only applies to insurance company repairs.  However, that is not specified anywhere on the coupon. <br /> Overall the completed work looks good, and much better that it did prevously.  If you want quick work at a low price (compared to other roofers in the area), use this company!
