Mr. Fama had not remembered or written down the appointment time and so came to my house before I got home. Once that was straightened out, he worked very hard to remove my old stubborn faucet and installed my new one. He made sure that it was installed correctly and there were no leaks.

upon inspection of the old tank it was determined that the tank itself, bladder, etc, was fine but the couplings at the bottom were corroded resulting in a pin hole leak. Jim offered me the choice to try to replace the couplings and save the tank but pointed out that since the tank was 10 years old it could fail sooner than later and I'd have to go through the labor charge all over again...we both agreed it was best to replace the entire tank and fittings to get it taked care of right the first time. Clearly the best way to go but nevertheless appreciated being given the choice. Jim and his assistant Glenn, were very professional and courteous.

When installing the hot water bib the plumber drilled thru the wall and hit 2 wires. This was something I asked him to do while he was there. A check for wires prior to drilling in a hole would have saved me hundreds of dollars

Job went very well. We have used James Fama several times and have always been happy with the job. James arrived on time, did the job promptly and left the area clean. His price was very fair. We had a new comfort level installed in a second bathroom and are very pleased with the job.

Everything went well. This is the third time we have used Mr. Fama. It's really nice to have someone you can rely on to be on time and do the job and know everything will done well. I use our storage room to pot plants etc. Unfortunately the only sink on this lower floor is a shallow sink in the bathroom and have to carry dirty pots etc. upstairs. They arrived on a very rainy day and covered all our floor with protection before starting. The sink was placed near the water pipe and a cabinet had to be moved. They moved the cabinet and installed the sink to a spot nearby. Removed boxes from that area and placed the cabinet there, next to the sink. They cleaned up and left the area spotless.

We came home from shopping and discovered our water heater was leaking. I called James because we were happy with the work he had done earlier this year. I called him late afternoon and we discussed replacing the tank, which was about 12 years old. He asked about the type heater we had now and because I was unsure he asked if I could take a photo and text it to him. I did so and he quoted me a price and arrived early the next morning. I was really impressed that instead of bringing the heater and equipment through the house, he and his assistant brought it down our very steep hill and brought it in, where it was to be installed. They arrived on time, installed it and cleaned up and left everything in great condition. Happy with the job.

He showed up this morning. He borrowed my ladder. He cut large holes in the basement ceiling drywall and then in the first floor dining room wall. He never found the source of the leak. We turned on all sources of water individually and the leak never increased. He wanted to stay and charge me more to cut more holes in the walls and I told him no. He had been there two hours and was not close to identifying the source. He was a rip off. I paid and he never fixed the problem just gave me new ones with the hole in the walls.

Went really well. James arrived on time. He removed his shoes when he arrived and was meticulous with everything he did. Old toilet was removed and taken away, new one installed. The bidet seat was than installed. Everything was perfect and no mess at all left behind. He was on time. He was also very kind to my pesty, barking little dog. Very lucky to find him.

James showed up on time and got promptly to business. He checked out our hot water heater and flushed it. He then performed a walk through checking out our faucets and bathrooms for any water flow or pressure issues. James discovered that two of our baths had child proofing hardware that was preventing the water temperature from getting hot enough. He stayed and fixed the problem that had been confounding us for years. We would definitely re-hire for future plumbing needs.

Went well! He had a cancellation so was able to come out by 10am. Tried snaking the drains with the tools he had in truck but had to go back to his shop and get a larger version. Came back with another Plummer to help him. They were able to remove blockage out to the street. Also noted my toilet that wouldn't stop running needed a new part - James agreed to stay and fix it for a reasonable price. Finally, I had a leaky faucet in one of my bathrooms that he was able to quickly replace. Total cost was $700 ($425 for clog, $125 for toilet repair, $150 for faucet). This seemed really fair to me since he was at my place or running around getting things for me from before 10 until after 3. Super nice guy as well, would definitely recommend him and will be calling him for all my future needs.

They weren't able to flush the heater because of a build up so they did not flush the heater. <br /> <br /> I'm on well water and when you use well water it's so hard that it unfortunately it can ruin your plumbing, so it makes it difficult if it's not flushed out on a regular basis and because this had not been it created an additional problem so that was my problem it was not something that they had anything to do with.

Very well! Mark and James arrived on the dot, completed the work within 3 hours, and left my house cleaner than it was when they arrived. Even though the garbage disposal was broken, I was concerned about a little leak when I ran the dishwasher. So James inspected all of the hoses, and ran a quick dishwasher load to see that it was no longer leaking after the new installation. While he was doing that diagnostic, Mark fixed my flashlight. All the while they made recommendations to help me avoid expensive repairs in the future. Really great guys!

I called James based upon his Angie's List reviews. He was polite, professional and listened to what I wanted done. He quoted me a price over the phone after asking a few questions. James called the morning of the scheduled service to let me know he was on his way and he and his assistant showed up on time and quickly got to work. They answered all the questions I had while there, explaining what they were doing and why whenever I was curious. The replacement was done in a reasonable amount of time and they took the old water heater with them. They cleaned up their work area afterwards and besides the shiny new water heater, you would never have known they were there. The price that I was quoted was the price I paid. I will be calling James the next time I have a plumbing need and if anyone ever asks me if I know a plumber, I will respond with "yeah, I have a guy" and give them James's contact info.

That one I think worked out really well as well. <br /> <br /> It was perfectly reasonable we felt that we got a good deal. <br /> <br /> I thought he was very good, very responsive, very professional, explained everything as he was doing it so we understood what was going on.
