Quality Renovation NY Inc

Since I live in a co-op building. The management office required the contractor must provide the legal license and commercial insurance. After compared a bunch of construction companies. I selected Quality Renovation NY Inc. The application was approved quickly by office than I expected. Another point I want to mention is the work went swiftly and efficiently. Everything was well organized. I only renovated the kitchen. They isolated the kitchen from other rooms with plastic curtains and covered the carpet in the hallway. I didn't received any complains from my neighbor. The men were always on time, were friendly, and cleaned up every day. The whole process is completed as scheduled. Most importantly, I was very satisfied about the quality. I have to say, Quality Renovation NY Inc is a reliable company. I'll definitely recommended this company to friends and others.

These guys showed there experience and professionalism. Got a difficult job done and turned a messy procedure into results. Would call them again.

Problem was bigger than expected, Celestino and his brother were thorough.They were able to repair the dry wall after the plumbing job was complete.

The entire faucet was rusted solid except for the handle. The handle turned fine, but the faucet just leaked. The handle had to be sawed off and the collar ring also had to be sawed off. Claudio and his assistant warned me that cutting the ring could potentially damage the threads and the wall would have to be opened up! That job would have cost 5 times my initial budget. Claudio's steady hand was able to cut the ring without damaging the threads. There was another problem once the ring was off. The new replacement part did not fit. Claudio went out and picked up a part that matched and replaced it. The job did eventually cost more than I had initially budgeted, but there were unanticipated obstacles that Claudio resolved with no aesthetic damage to the bathroom. I would hire again.

Very well. Extremely happy with level of service for the price. Plumber was punctual and easy to talk to.

He was a total rip-off. He wanted $600 to replace a water filter when a previous plumber did it for $60. A simple not complicated job. He wanted to replace my boiler completely. I called in another plumber who made a few minor adjustments on the boiler and it's working fine. I would not use him again or recommend him.

Today I poked a hole through my kitchen drain while trying to drain snake it with a coat hanger. (Thanks, YouTube!) Luckily, Master Sewer and Piping was available to help! They showed up within a couple of hours and fixed the issue. HOORAY!! The plumbers were super nice and seemed knowledgeable and honest about what needed to be done and how to prevent it in the future (if you have metal piping, fix slow drains immediately or they could corrode through!). The problem was fixed within an hour or so. It was $180 to clean the drain and $120 for pipe repair. The drain cleaning was slightly more expensive than what I've paid in the past, but given that they were SO quick to respond and fix, it was worth the peace of mind. Plus, it makes a difference to work with really nice people - it just makes the experience so much better overall. I'm really grateful to this team for their quick response, friendliness, and (so far) effective fix!

They were excellent. I will hire them again for all of my plumbing needs. They were also the neatest and friendliest plumbers I have ever worked with!

They are wonderful guys, very gentle and did a gorgeous work. They're a good company.

Exceptionally well. Very professional and prompt. Came out at 11 PM when no one else would.

Called them around 6pm after I discover there was a water leak in the basement, I could not locate the leak. They showed up 25 mins later, wow, I mean wow! They went in the basement and very quickly located the leak. Then pulled a machine from their truck into the basement, fixed the leak in 10 mins. They also gave me some tips on maintenance of the pipe. Excellent services!!!!

My basement bathroom drain was clogged, it had happened once a while, some other company come, cleaned the drain and after they done, few weeks later, it would clogged again. So we decided to changed to another company, Master Sewer and Piping Inc. Sam came in with his crews 20 min after we called, they did inspection, put a camera into the main sewer and found the falling metal pipe pieces in the main sewer, they remove it and this this, the drain issue was complete solved. We also asked they to replace the hot water heater. They came in with a brand new heater and finish the replacement within a day. Sam and his crews are very professional and experienced. They did the job clean, fast and neat. They are licensed and insured Plumber. We will definitely call them if we have any plumbing issue.

This was a truly painless experience. Sandy confirmed the time we were supposed to meet for an estimate and was there as promised. She quickly offered an estimate in line with my expectations. The crew was available quickly and we chose a day to start the following week based on my work schedule. <br /> Moving a gas line can be tricky in coop buildings, but Quality Renovations worked with our building management company to make sure service was not disrupted for other units. The wall was opened, the line was moved, the wall was replastered, and repainted in one day - How is that even possible? <br /> A radiator had leaked in the apartment above me causing damage to our ceiling. Quality Renovations repaired the damage and wound up repainting the entire ceiling since there was not an obvious breakpoint in our open floorplan apartment. Since this was going to be a messy job, we had them add four electrical outlets at the same time. This also involved opening the wall, snaking wire through and replastering/painting. All of this work was done over the course of two days. <br /> Perhaps the most remarkable thing was how the crew cleaned up at the end of the day. Ther was no dust or paint splatter to be found. I think they even mopped at the end of the project! <br /> I would hire Sandy and Quality Renovations again and I have already recommended them to friends.

He executes on ideas exactly as you share them. He's not an imaginative or creative contractor so if you know what you want and how you want it, he's the perfect guy. Work is done quickly. <br />

In a sea of crooks, liars, and felons (also know as general contracting) George Chen and his company, Quality Renovations Contractor Inc. are honest, decent, and trustworthy people who care deeply about the quality of their craftsmanship and the outcome of their work.  <br /> We had lived through a horrible experience with another contractor who is now up on 28 charges filed by the Department of Consumer Affairs. (I will come back to Angie's List and name this person once the suit is heard and judgement is rendered). George came to look at the mess, and accepted the job at a competitive bid. He was thoughtful and sympathetic, all the while making informed suggestions as to how we could more successfully complete this job, with the least amount of aggravation, and the best outcome. We were impressed and hired him in short order, especially since is other Angie's reviews were so good.  <br /> Everything that George said he was going to do, he did in the time promised. When there were problems, he found solutions. When a worker made a mistake he took full responsibility and corrected the issue without fuss or additional expense. He was flexible, understanding, patient, and timely. Any delay’s in completion were our doing and resulted in delays from vendors we had chosen.  <br /> We are thrilled with the finished job. The quality of the finishing, plumbing, painting, and electric are all excellent. We would not hesitate to call George Chen to do more jobs for us.  <br />

Very happy with the job. Leo contacted me immediately and scheduled an appointment to review the bathroom renovation. He was on time for the appointment and made good recommendations to save time and money. I felt he was very honest and professional. Because my job was small, he was honest that he could not do take the job immediately. I decided to wait for him and I am happy that I did. When they were ready, Leo and team were able to complete the job in 3-4 days and my bathroom looks amazing. My husband and I are very happy with the final result and all the finishes as well.  <br />

Quality Renovations is an excellent contracting company!  They implemented the architect's design to the tee and asked plenty of questions and discussed everything from soup to nuts, prior to start date. They held closely to the design but were flexible as needed with small and large scale work order changes.  The project entailed the renovation of (2) one bedroom apartments into two bedrooms including new open concept kitchens and living room space, bathrooms, repairing fireplaces with plenty of closets and extra lighting, etc.  It was very stressful once it was determined the necessity of structural work but George's crew handled these changes extremely well while working closely with my engineer and architect. My one complaint was a language barrier with workers who spoke little English. As a result, sometimes there were miscommunication regarding accurate measurements. However, George was an excellent mediator and remained daily responsive to my concerns.  We communicated via daily text, email or phone, and he would stop by unexpectedly or by appointment 1, 2 or 3x a month to check on work.  Later, George brought on bilingual workers to oversee and complete the project. Oh yeah--Friends and family would visit the work site during renovation to assess its progress, and all were impressed with the workmanship.  Apartments were quickly rented because prospective renters loved the lay out, finishers and quality work!  I am so pleased with Quality Renovations, and i would definitely use them again! <br />

I contacted Leo in March of 2012 and after a few time adjustments, we finally met. I was not initially impressed with what I thought should be his knowledge of the job details but I decided to hire him because of his larger view of the project.  <br /> From the end of Spring, through the hot, sweaty Summer, Leo and his crew worked tirelessly every day. If I had a question, Leo answered, it I had a concern, he addressed it even after the project was done. They seemed less than pleased that I did not want them to work on Sunday too!  Communication was sometimes less than smooth but in the end, everything was done well and to my expectations.  <br /> Through the seemingly  endless dust and debris, we have a beautiful, functioning kitchen and bathroom and while I had all kinds of trepidations about doing such a large, important project, especially after all the horror stories we have all seen in the news, I am happy I took the chance and the whole family is well pleased with the outcome. <br /> I would surely hire him again!. <br />

With our closing delayed by Hurricane Sandy, we were on a very tight timeline to complete renovations before the holidays.  Within a total of three weeks from my first call to George, he provided all necessary documentation to meet the co-op requirements, demo'ed the existing kitchen cabinets and a portion of the marble tile from the bathroom, installed new bathroom fixtures and painted, installed new kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances, and subway tile backsplash, refinished the parquet floors, and repaired damaged walls.  On the last day of work, my husband and I realized that the portion of DIY work that we'd taken on was too much for us.  I called George at 10am and he had someone over to finish the baseboard installation within two hours, and all work was completed on schedule even with the additional tasks. <br /> George was always available and responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls.   He and his crew found a solution to every problem, such as when the cabinet opening turned out to be 35.75" inches at the front and 36" inches at the back and our cabinets wouldn't fit.  His crew replaced the existing drywall on one side of the opening with a thinner piece, thus magically finding the crucial 1/4" we needed. <br /> Because of our timeline, there were some projects we weren't able to complete this time, but we will definitely use Quality Renovations in the future when we get around to replacing the bathtub. <br />

We live in a co-op with strict rules. Leo followed all rules and regulations. Leo performed all tasks well and in a timely fashion.This was a major renovation with new plumbing and electric,as well as the normal cosmetic issues.Having experienced multiple renovations in previous dwellings, this one went very well. All renovations are painful and frustrating. It is not a question of problems arising(they always do) but how easily they are resolved. The job finished ahead of our schedule.Arie we glad it's over,YES. Are we happy with the results? Completely,and we would do it again with this contractor.

I have called him twice and he hasn't returned my calls at all.

Working with George throughout this project was a pleasure!!! We hired George Chen as our contractor after having several quotes and evaluating customer reviews on all contractors. George made a very good impression as a very honest, reliable and an easy to work with guy, his quote was reasonable with respect to the scope of work, and he totally understood our concept and was willing to make any changes to our architect plans when needed. Some items were very difficult to make – such as a special pocket door, George was down to earth and wasn’t intimidated by some of the aspect of the project. George gave us a good offer and delivered the work as we envisioned it to come out. Our project included a full alteration to a high end finish of a one bedroom apartment Manhattan condo. The project involved demolition, moving and adding electrical circuits, new recessed lighting throughout the apartment, track lighting, moving and installing new plumbing lines, moving a gas line, installing new hardwood floors, changing dry wall placement and even the ceiling height, installing interior wood trim and baseboard, installing a new bathroom including a ceiling mount shower head, tiling, and painting throughout. The buildings by-laws were extremely strict and it took us more time to get the job approved then actually have the renovation. George was extremely helpful and on time in getting all the needed forms and documents and a very important fact he shows up when he tells you he is going to be there! When the work started, George kept with all building regulation and made good impression and good relationship with the building super. That proved to be extremely important later on. Since I couldn’t be at the site daily, George kept me updated by emails and sending me pictures of the different phase of the work. We met every week to go over what was done and made decisions on the next steps. Whatever you plan before work starts will have to be adjusted and modified while doing the project. George had many solutions to small and large obstacles and was able to custom made closets, cabinets and make alterations in the electrical work as we go along. Many of the alterations were made without any charge, unless it was absolutely a new project. Even then, George charged us a very reasonable price. During the last phases of the work George had to deal with other installers, such as kitchen, bathroom doors, appliances, custom made wall flush door, and was able to solve all problems. Since the work was completed we had many guests visiting. All were extremely impressed by the look and quality of renovation. We will definitely use George Chen of Quality Renovation on future projects and will highly recommend him to anyone. George, Thank you so much for a wonderful job.

Hired Quality Renovations to do a total renovation on a  4,500 sq ft Showroom/loft in Union Square. Had a dead line that no one else would accept and George met the dead line as promised.  He gutted most of the space. Had to do 3 bathrooms, a Kitchen, sheet rocked the entire space both walls and ceiling, paint, installed 200 light heads and added air to the space,  George is an easy guy to work with. Always available via e-mail or phone. Can't believe he got all done as promised. Have also used him at my home.
