I hired Alex for the job of installing a large 72" recessed fireplace into the wall of my master bedroom. Initially I was going to go with Touchstone Sideline recessed electric fireplace. After calling roughly 5-7 surrounding fireplace businesses and spending over 5 hours on the phone to get continuously rejected for project and timeline, I got in touch with Alex at Queen City Fireplace. He came out the same day to look at the space, and assess the job. He recommended Dimplex fireplace instead, and I'm SO GLAD he did. Within 3 days the final job was done, and the fireplace couldn't be more Spectacular! Alex was punctual, knowledgeable, experienced, and worked diligently to get the job done RIGHT! Queen City installed Landscaping Pavers in my yard. The project was executed professionally and efficiently from start to finish. Alex and his team went over and beyond and worked through the weekend to get the job done on time. We have received compliments from neighbours on how great the pavers look. I would give Queen City a 10 star rating and I would hire them again for future projects. Their customer service has been exceptional.

Big project but queen city was avail day and night for questions. Our outdoor space is now an oasis/resort. Our masterbedroom fireplace is out of a magazine. All handmade master craftsmanship.... Amazing

When I phoned the company, I was greeted very professionally by Alex. I explained what service was needed. Alex arranged an appointment that suited my schedule. At exactly 1:00 p.m. (the time of my appointment) Alex rang my doorbell. We are pleased with the work that was done.

Called at 10am, he was at my house by 1pm, had logs fixed, out by 2pm. Actual cost of repair was $200 less than quote he gave me over the phone. I asked him about replacing logs, but he said although technology is better, no reason to replace.

It took a couple trips but he persisted and got it done. The fireplace is better than new!

Our gas logs randomly turned on one evening. We called Alex the next day and he was our there the same afternoon to check it out. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it expediently. We were very pleased and would highly recommend him.

Queen City came in and in one afternoon had the fireplace correctly installed and running in the fashion it was intended to run - we have been six months trying to get it installed properly and are very happy with our beautiful result

I needed a repaired to a set of gas logs that has been turned off for over a decade. The technician had them refurbished and running in under 30 minutes. Highly recommend their company!!

Fantastic experience. Called back immediately, came on a Saturday, was very clear with what needed to be done. Pointed out some mistakes that had been done with previous work to our house. Would use again in a heartbeat.

Our fireplace (gas logs) was temperamental. It would work when it wanted vs. when we wanted. Starting the gas would be nerve wracking as it would take a while and have a big whoosh of flame when it did start. I called and spoke to Alex, who had time to come the same day. He explained the issues, and suggested a fix for the problem that would also make it easier to use the fireplace. He changed out the logs and gave us a remote control to start and turn off the fire. It really looks amazing. We are so pleased with how it turned out. It was fixed the same day he came out. Thank you very much!

He was able to fit me in right away, diagnose the problem quickly, and even take the unit for repair and return it same day. When reinstalling, hit a bit of an issue with the gas line but fixed that as well and didn't charge me any extra. Personable and knowledgable! Highly recommend!
