Jesse helped us open a wall in our kitchen and put up a beam to support the roof. The beam came out so beautiful and is so sturdy!! We’re so pleased with the work he’s done and we’ll definitely call him if we have more remodeling needs!
Response from Radiant Renovations
"Thank you and grateful to be of service to your young family!!"

They did a fantastic job. Even built some custom add-ons. We would hire them again in a heartbeat. Shed looks great and the price was right.

My experience with Radiant Builders was excellent. I had an idea of what I wanted and they took my ideas and came up with a beautiful design. They were skilled, intuitive, flexible and creative. I now have a beautiful sun room. Great work, great people, great experience.

BUYER BEWARE! Update: Jesse Altamarino (Radiant Builders LLC) misrepresents himself and his business by listing an out-of-state contractors license number CRC1331097 on his website and proposal forms. This gives the impression he is licensed in Texas and Lubbock. HE IS NOT. The city of Lubbock requires all contractors and remodelers to be registered and carry an insurance policy. He has violated this by not registering with Lubbock. Further, he performs illegal unlicensed electrical and plumbing work. On the advice of my attorney, I have filed charges with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. This contractor, Jesse Altamarino, was clearly in over his head when he took the job. The workmanship was so far below minimal standards that I am shocked he would sign his name to the job. We hired him to build a deck and remodel a master bathroom. The deck was not square or level and several deck boards are already coming apart, literally at the seams. In the master bath we had a wall moved. The joints that were taped and floated are coming apart and cracks are now visible. He sealed dirt into the new stone floor with sealer and the paint is already peeling. This work is less than six month old. We had initiated the project in two phases. Phase 1 was deck and bathroom. Phase two was to be a complete kitchen and den remodel. After seeing the workmanship from the first phase I canceled the second portion of the job and requested a refund for the deposit on the work that was not completed. He told me he would refund the total amount of the deposit owed but after several weeks of stalling he then refused to return the money. Fortunately, I paid a portion of the deposit on a credit card and was able to file a claim with my credit card company. After they investigated they found in my favor and the charge-back was completed. He has now filed a small claims against me for breach of contract. Nice. I am considering a counter-claim for poor workmanship. I will file a Texas Property Code Chapter 27 and Deceptive Trade Practice Act claim. If anyone else was impacted by this contractors poor workmanship and would like to join my claim please reach out.
Response from Radiant Renovations
"Furthermore, we offer a 1-year workmanship warranty and he never called to have minor cosmetic issues addressed. Also we filed lawsuit against Mr. [Member Name Removed] November 8, 2023 and he now just got served so he is clearly angry and this is an act of retaliation. This lawsuit just turned into 2nd lawsuit for defamation of character and not in small claims, which is for amounts under $10000."

1. Lack of Care Clean up was minimal. Debris was left on the driveway in front of the house, on the front doorstep, and on the back patio. They often left the doors open allowing the tile and wood saw dust to settle in the house, they didn't use tarps. There was also a considerable lack of care with the materials used and an excess of waste due to haste. 2. Lack of Focus The owner was often taken away from the job for meetings to pursue his other professional endeavors. His attention, time and "cash flow" were divided in too many directions. 3. Lack of Attention to Detail The grout work for the tile in the shower and bath ledges is less than desirable, the granite was left with gaps and raw unpolished edges, the patches from damage to the wall and ceilings looks like it was done by a novice. 4. Lack of Dependability I have now been waiting over a month and have reached out multiple times for work to be finished. I have no faith he will honor his warranty.
