Randy Lane has skilled plumbers and a well-organized office staff. The plumber arrived at the pre-arranged day & time and fixed the two sinks. The plumber looked at the corroded sections of pipe that I pointed out and stated that his opinion was that replacing those would not significantly increase water pressure in the house. I appreciate the honest opinion. <br />

The plumber from Randy Lane did a good job of the plumbing work and also a very good job of explaining what he was doing. Our house is fairly old and a lot of sections of copper pipe were corroded. As we can not afford to do all of them at once, we had to replace just the pipes and sections that are most corroded and/or leaky. The plumber helped me prioritize which sections should be re-piped now, and which ones could reasonably be watched and replaced in the future. He explained this clearly and without pressure, then when I decided on the best approach he got to work on it. As always, I have confidence in the work that was performed by Randy Lane. Over the years at our previous house and our current one, we've had several different plumbers from Randy Lane perform various types of plumbing work for us, and the work has always been quality. I highly recommend this company. <br />

Called and made an appointment. The plumber, Lee, showed up as scheduled. We discovered that the shut-off valve for the water to our condo unit was in another owner's unit. That owner was not home, so we had to reschedule the appointment. <br /> I rescheduled the appointment and was told the plumber would arrive at 8:00 a.m., the first appointment for the day. On the day, the plumber did not show up at 8:00. I ended up calling to see why the plumber had not arrived. I was told that another plumber was out that day, which had thrown the schedule off. (I realize these things happen. I do wish they had called to tell me there would be a delay as the water had been shut off for three units and was keeping another unit owner--in whose unit the main shut off valve was--from going to work.) <br /> When Lee arrived, he apologized for the delay. He replaced the shut-off valve and installed the new fill valve, which stopped the toilet from running. He also lowered the fill water level to save water. Lee cleaned up any mess made by the work and was clear at explaining what had been done and about how to use the shut-off valve in a way that could help it last longer (e.g. not turning it too far or too tightly when turning it off.) Lee explained that I was being charged for the 15 minutes from the first call (when we could not shut off the main water line to our unit) plus labor and parts for this work. (There was an apprentice with Lee both times who was very friendly and professional.) <br /> A few hours after Lee left, the toilet began running again. I could not get it to stop, so I called and got an appointment for a time when I could be home a few days later. For this third visit, Jeff was the plumber. He replaced an O-seal on the flush valve with an extra I had on hand. He also removed some debris from the toilet tank that he thought might be interfering with the seal. He also adjusted the water fill level, which added more pressure to the flush valve, which stopped the toilet from running. He did not charge us for this call, since he was adjusting work done earlier. <br /> Though it was a bit convoluted, we still appreciate the work done. We appreciated the idea of using less water with each flush, and appreciated the "learning" that the water needs to be a certain level to keep the flush valve from running. <br /> Lynn, the receptionist with whom I dealt through all of this was friendly and helpful. <br />

It went well. I could have had less work done and saved money but I wanted the kitchen drain system updated so it would drain properly. This should avoid future problems. I called the plumber and was not interested in differing estimates. Randy's was prompt and explained the need to update the drain system to avoid future problems and I agreed. If and when we update plumbing in other parts of the house I  would consider this company for the work.

I had an old water heater (was in the house when I moved in about 20 years ago) and it started to leak. After shutting off the water to the water heater, I did a little Angie's List research to find a company to do the replacement. I called a couple and decided to use Randy Lane, based on cost and my interaction with them, which I felt was cordial and helpful, and made an appointment. <br /> The service person arrived on time on the day of the appointment and went to work. He disconnected the old heater and hauled it out. The new heater was brought in and he did the needed plumbing work to connect the water and also made the natural gas connections. He fired up the unit and briefed me on the new unit - how to turn-off the water and gas, if needed, temperature, etc. <br /> The area was left in the same condition as when he arrived. <br />

I called Randy Lane at 3:15 that afternoon. They said they could have someone out first thing the next morning, but as I had been traveling (and away from work), I really couldn't miss any more time at my job. They got a plumber out to my home before 6:00 p.m. that evening! The plumber replaced the wax seal and re-seated the toilet. Nice work - very nice response. I have used them before, and will again in future.

They had to attach the gas pipe and do the exhaust pipe as well. I like them and they were good. The price seemed like others and it didn’t seem expensive. They did a good job of explaining what they are doing and why. 

The job was done quickly and at reasonable cost. The plumbers from Randy Lane were friendly and did a good job of explaining the work, as always. Additionally, the office staff did a good job of calling to reschedule the work because they got a little backed up the week that we had originally scheduled the work. I greatly appreciate when a company respects the customer's time and keeps the customer up-to-date on the scheduling.

I had the old kind of plumbing; so they had to vent it out and everything.  It was a complete plumbing job.  They were great.  I have had them before.  They are here on time and they do things right.  I would recommend them.

Great. They were able to disconnect our gas appliances at two separate homes and then come back the following day to reconnect them after a move and they were nice enough to charge it as one continuous service call rather than two like most other plumbers I called charge.  They were friendly and knowledgable.

Arrived on time, took about one hour, billed me at the end of the project.   Very easy to work with.

Our sump pump was on the fritz. Randy Lane arranged to come the following day. They said they would put in a pump I bought but I choose to use the one they supplied. They were on time, professional and fast. It was an easy bill to pay.

I purchased a new shower faucet and cartridge for the repair. Donny told my wife and I to save on the new faucet and wait till we did some wall/tile repair if we were to remodel in the near future. Rather than following our first wishes he may have saved us around $400, or more by being honest and a good guy. We had the cartridge replaced for our Moen faucet. It operates very well and no drips (bad for the Cat though!). We had additional savings when we returned the faucet to Menards. The cartridge was about $36-$39. We have used Randy Lane several times (maybe 5-7 times) and were quite satisfied. They have been our plumber of choice for several years. This was our first plumbing work completed by Donny. Not our last for sure!

I will not know until spring whether there are any issues with the repair. The plumber was on-time, professional, and seemed to know what he was doing. However, the cost of $168/hour was simply too much. I feel there is a professional plumber out there that can do a good job, but at a more reasonable price. I will keep looking.

Tech called to determine the model of circulator, and got it from warehouse before coming out. We discussed a change to the system that would make it easier to do circulator changes in the future. He made that change. Work was done on time and appears to be workmanlike.

The price came in higher than we were quoted, but that was due to the challenges of replacing the bathtub drain mechanism. Overall, we would use them again.

They have been here a few times. The office staff is very friendly. They made very helpful suggestions and did good work. They are reliable, prompt and friendly.

They were excellent. The price did not include the new toilet. They did excellent work. We used to go to a plumber in Hopkins and I don?t remember the name of them. We had something installed in our sink in the kitchen and they charged me $400. Several friends in the neighborhood said that it?s ghastly. Then my wife looked up the Randy Lane on Angie?s list and was like wow. We went to them for the next plumbing repair and I thought that their charges were much fairer. I had to pick my toilet out online to do up this toilet in my house. Then I called a wholesaler which I don?t remember the name, and then the Randy Lane guy went and picked it up and then that was part of my bill. The wholesaler won?t sell it to me directly. They only sell it through the plumber, and that worked very well. When they say they are going to come, they come reasonably on time. They do excellent work and their pricing is great. They don?t overcharge me. I would use their services again in the future.

I called because a toilet that is seldom used in the extra bathroom did not refill after flushing to freshen the water. The person who answered my phone call, the receptionist who I talked to the next day and the plumber who responded were all very friendly and professional. The plumber explained to me why the toilet did not refill because of water deposits and was now o.k. He tested it many times to make sure it was working properly. Then, I asked him to check out the other toilet because it would start filling with water at all times. He replaced the ??? (I can't read his handwriting) and tested it many times to make sure it was now working properly. He also tightened a faucet handle on the sink. This was the day after a huge snow storm and he took the time to help my neighbor whose car was stuck in the snow. I had a lot of snow in front of my garage door and he then waited and watched to make sure that I got out to the road o.k. I will definitely call them again and would highly recommend this company.
