Rapid Roofing & Restoration

Roof itself appears to be done well, but nails and other debris not well cleaned up around yard. Worse, I now have a leak in my living room. After several calls the salesman finally came out and said it is my gutters. It is not. Later, someone else came out and said the issue is the chimney flashing (which they installed as part of the new roof). He said someone would come out to repair. Someone else came out, but he did not repair it, saying it is a problem with my chimney. He took pictures. I have asked for the pictures to show a chimney company, but still have not received them. Why would Rapid Roof install flashing around a chimney that needed repair? Not good. Look elsewhere if you want better a company that stands by their work better than this.

GREAT job! After a little bit of delay from the originally expected timeline, the actual work was performed as scheduled, and on time. The workmanship is excellent -- far superior to the work done by the original roofers. Thank you!!

Outstanding, the quality of customer service and work performed was at it's finest. The whole experience from beginning to end could not have been any better. From the estimate to picking the roof and color. Very honest and did not charge for materials that were extra. They also did not try to add anything that did not need repaired. The work was completed in a timely manner and the crew did a wonderful job cleaning up.

The overall job went well. Roofing job was completed in one day. Gutter replacement was just as we expected. Garage doors were still in good shape so rather than replace, we had them painted and they now look like new. The Rapid crew did a fine job and Jerry McCarty in particular stayed in touch with us throughout the process and oversaw the work being done. We would highly recommend Jerry and his company to anyone looking for this type of work to be done on their home.

Our experience was excellent. Jerry McCarty spoke with us extensively about what we were interested in doing, a time frame to get the work done and an estimate for the work. He also oversaw all the work the day the shingles, etc. were being installed. Everyone was there at the job site on time and we were kept up to date on progress. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the work day. We have had no problems and we are very pleased with the professionalism of everyone we worked with and especially Jerry McCarty. We would definitely work with Jerry and Rapid Roofing again.

I had hail/wind damage to my roof. Contacted Rapid Roofing. Jerry came out, inspected the roof, wrote up a quote. He got his workers on the job within 2 weeks (and there were quite a few getting them done due to the storms that had gone through our area. The crew took off all shingles down to decking and proceeded to get total job done in 2 days. Jerry even came past and picked up a few nails from the yard that were missed. While I like Jerry and was happy to give him the work for the business he works for, I was not happy when I found out that I had a big out-of-pocket amount I was to pay because they replaced quite a bit of decking. My decking was 1 x 8 x 10 boards. I was not told at any time how many they would need to replace. The pictures I got did not indicated there were 10 board lengths that needed to be used (my house is only 1100 square feet). I just feel that if there is additional out of pocket money that needs to be paid, it should be disclosed to the customer by calling them so they are suspicious when receiving the bill. I do think they use a quality product. I waited to post on Angie's list so that the roof had time to endure rain and a couple storms.

I was happy at first, but come January 2016 there was water coming in through my ceiling. There should be zero water coming in after paying to have my whole roof replaced. I called the company the day it happened, they sent someone out to look at my roof in January, but no repairs were made due to the weather. I called multiple times after the weather warmed up, but they didn't sent anyone else out until July (7 months later). He made no repair either stating that it was a condensation issue, so my roof isn't properly ventilated. He also said someone with the company would call and follow up with me. Well, it's September now and they have yet to call me or fix it. So basically once this company has your money they don't care about their customers.

Although the company needed to be prompted to begin the job and began later than the stated start date, once they started, they showed up on time and worked steadily for several days until they were finished. Initially the repair was not made, perhaps through some misunderstanding, but when the oversight was noted it was corrected quickly. The workers cleaned up their mess, was careful closing the gate so the dogs wouldn't get out and worked steadily.

It went great. Steven Pickering handled the estimate and managed the project and was a breeze to work with. What was especially great is that I was still living in Portland, OR, so Steven had to work with an absent owner. He was willing to handle all the paper work electronically, responsive to questions about shingle vs. metal, provided web links to the shingle options, and texted photos of the roof as the work was in progress. It's somewhat unnerving to have a contractor working on a house when you're halfway across the country, but I had nothing to worry about. When I arrived the roof was exactly what I expected. The record breaking rain in Bloomington delayed the gutters, but they went up quick and it was a relief to have the old ones (most likely steel!) hauled away. <br />

Rapid roofing did a great job replacing my roof. Im really happy with the thoroughness and quality of their work. Special thanks to their sales rep Steven Pickering for working with in my budget, making it affordable and still using a great Owens Corning shingle. It feels great to have worked with a company that is honest and does great work. Thanks again. <br />

<p>I was very satisfied with the overall experience from start to finish.  Jerry came to make measurements and discuss in detail how the job would be managed.  Their proposed cost was quite competitive - over $1,000 lower than another Angie's list proposal.  Their roofing crew was amazing.  The crew consisted of 12 workers and removed both roofs, repaired rotting decking in several places, then installed shingles on both structures.  A separate crew returned to repair three upstairs window dormers; several pieces of cedar trim had rotted and some stucco boards had also rotted.  Each was repaired with new cedar trim and stucco boards.  A new skylight was installed.  The dormers and all house trim was painted, including the screened in porch and porch flooring.</p> <p>Jerry was very customer focused.  On two different occasions he came to show me different color / style of shingles.  He kept me informed throughout the project.  He said the job was not complete until I was completely satisfied with all aspects of the project.  He responded quickly to any concerns I raised.</p> <p>The only disappointment regarded project cleanup.  A magnetic roller was used to pick up roofing nails, but many were missed particularly in the gravel driveway.  Jerry came back with the roller and made an extensive sweep of the area picking up many, many nails.  The roofing and other crews could have done a better job picking up debris after the jobs were completed.  Also, better care could have been made painting the roofing dormers.  One spill (approx. 6" x 15") was visible from the ground and a few smaller paint blotches were by the dormers.  When this was pointed out, Jerry had crew members return to replace the shingles.</p> <p>Overall, I was very satisfied and would plan to use them again and recommend to others.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />

1) Wayne gave me a thorough explanation of how gutter guards, roof flashing, etc,would be handled and a competitive price bid and scheduled date. <br /> 2) roof team arrived on time ;worked hard, were courteous and completed work and clean up, efficiently in 8 hours. <br /> 3) Wayne returned to inspect the work and make certain I was satisfied with the job the next day.

Wayne determined there was no damage, but sealed the area around the pipe. He would not take payment for his work although he spent time explaining the work he did and discussed other roof issues (ice jams and ways to prevent them). Wayne arrived on time and was very professional. I would recommend him to anyone with roofing issues. <br />

When roofer came to inspect the roof, he found damage.  Roofer was extremely cooperative and helpful as I worked with my insurance agent.  The process took a great deal of the roofer's time.  I was impressed by Wayne's desire to do a good job and to provide assistance when I needed it.  There were never complaints about the amount of time and effort it took.  I am pleased with the work he completed and would have no hesitation recommending his services. <br />

It went all right. The guy showed up on time. He was fast and efficient. He actually walked me through what he was going to be doing. We had a lot of storms and a lot of my neighbors had hail damage but amazingly ours didn't have any damage. There was so much free service that we got. He did all that.
