Templeton paving was excellent. They showed up, did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Our driveway is beautiful and the quality is so much better than paving I’ve see done by other companies. We have some more to do and I would definitely hire them again.

R Ashby Templeton Paving is AWESOME. They did a fantastic job. The outcome actually far surpassed my expectations. Darrell was very professional, told me exactly what they were going to do and was very good about making sure that I understood how everything would lay out. Darrell worked hard to make sure that we were satisfied with the end result - and we are! Not only do we have ample parking surface now, but the look of the driveway really improved the visual appeal of the entire property. I should have had this done years ago! Well worth the money. Short version: One of the most professional and responsive paving companies in Lynchburg. Calls/emails were returned within hours. Was able to subcontract retaining wall work and understand the vision I had for what I wanted. Paving was handled personally by him. Would hire/recommend to anyone, in a heartbeat. Long(er) version: When looking around Lynchburg for paving companies in May of 2015, I interviewed 4. 2 of them were unprofessional and 1 just didn't understand what I wanted. We had a 50 foot slopped driveway (see before/after pics) that I wanted extended so I could park my cars on a level surface and have a basketball court for my kids. After dealing with the 3 aforementioned paving companies (who by the way were cheaper), I called Darrell at R Ashby Templeton. He immediately seemed more professional, and in talking with him he completely got what I was wanting for the driveway. He was knowledgeable and had no issues with subcontracting work to a landscape company he trusted. He was more expensive than the other paving companies, however he was honest and said he was books solid until the spring of 2016. That, in addition to the 15 other "A" reviews on here made me take the plunge and go with him. And I can honestly say I'm glad I did. We commenced work on the retaining wall in January of 2016. He came out with the landscaper to talk about the gameplan for how to implement what I wanted. After the retaining wall was built Darrell himself came out, poured the base gravel layer and rolled it the entire next day. Then in July of 2016 he completed everything and paved it. The entire time their communication was spotless and punctual. I would recommend R Ashby Templeton to anyone in a heartbeat. You're dealing with a product that's supposed to last 20-30 years or more. Go with the quality people. Go with R Ashby Templeton.

The driveway was the finishing touches to fixing up our property for a rehearsal dinner for my daughter who was getting married.  You could not ask for better workmanship. On time, professional & exactly what was expected. This is the 3rd project Templeton has done for me. Highly recommended!!

I can't remember too much about it but hey were fine. They did a very good job and they were very professional. They were perhaps a little pricier but we just consulted since the driveway definitely needed some extra work and they had been well recommended to us.

This company was great!  The communication was excellent from the beginning and various options were provided to select from including recommendations to improve the surface of our current driveway.  Drive is a steep .25 miles that had been washed out with large gulleys that needed to be corrected. <br /> Darrell and his staff were able to start the project sooner then anticipated and worked quickly and efficiently ensuring that we could access the home at all times during this work.  He listened to our concerns and explained pro's and con's of the options he provided for the work.  We selected to go with the gravel being packed and leveled vs the surface treatment as we felt it was the best option to meet our needs both functionally and financially. <br /> I would highly recommend working with this company for your needs.  They will provide insight with no pressure as to options to select from. <br />

The crew arrived right on time the first day to remove the old driveway. They discovered that the existing driveway did not have a good base, so they would have to add additional stone before they could put down the asphalt. We were immediately told and asked to decide if we wanted to do this, since it would increase the cost. We decided it was more important to have it done right! Mr. Templeton was most apologetic about not catching this in his original estimate, but there really was no way of knowing until demolition had started. <br />

Prompt visit to site first week of October.  Received quote via email within a couple days (Oct4).  Immediately informed me of their schedule backlog, indicating work would likely be "mid November" if I awarded them the work, which was ok for my application as long as the weather didn't get too cold for asphalt work.  Received a call Monday (Nov5) they could do the work Thurs-Fri of that week.  They arrived promptly to start at 8am as scheduled, and worked the full 2 days to complete the project.  No issues encountered, other than they themselves inspected and rejected a load of asphalt they deemed unsuitable/improperly mixed.  Good results.  Professional team of 3 people on site for duration. <br />

There were no problems or issues in this entire project!! Mr. Templeton phoned and was very communicative during the week that this project took. Please do not hesitate to call me for additional information on this matter.

Smooth, without surprises. Changes were made to the original estimate; Mr. Templeton promptly sent revised estimate.  Mr. Templeton handled all aspects of this project professionally, friendly and prompt. Mr. Templeton was very informative throughout the project about timelines, process and how to care for my new driveway.  Employees were friendly, polite, informative. His equipment was professional. No trash of any type was left on my property. All debris Mr. Templeton dug up to prepare driveway design was promptly removed. <br /> <br /> The day Mr. Templeton told me he would arrive he did. He brought in his equipment and removed, leveled, poured crusher run and rolled. The concrete person came the day Mr. Templeton said he woud. Concrete person took 2 days and Mr. Templeton told me he would return 10 days later to pour ashphalt driveway. He did. <br /> <br /> Before Mr. Templeton left, he explained to me the care of the ashpalt driveway, informed me when to expect the bill and that I would have 30 days to pay. He left a phamphlet "How tio take care of your new ashphalt driveway". This phamphlet gives a brief history of the company and employees as well as the company's Mission Statement. The original estimate came with basic information regarding this project, a page of samples of R.Ashley Templeton's work and a contract to sign to include a copy for the customer. Simple. <br /> <br /> I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. <br />
