Tom Raymond is an old-time professional--he answers his phone, comes when he says he's going to, gives you an honest evaluation, and performs the work on time.  His work is quality--he goes above and beyond to make sure you're doing the right thing.  I'd recommend him without hesitation. <br />

Tom was a really nice guy and his workmanship was excellent. <br />

Tom was hard-working, meticulous, and polite throughout the long process of renovating a section of our basement. Sometimes working with an assistant, he repaired walls that had been damaged by water. He removed a shelf and some unnecessary trim that had been attached to walls, then repaired areas underneath. He scraped and removed paint from existing walls (including several types of wall material -- drywall and exposed stone), woodwork, etc. He cleaned and painted four window well areas which had been covered with years of grime and debris. He carefully painted ceiling, which consisted of many exposed pipes, valves and fixtures, using a dark brown paint in order to camouflage those previously very visible and ugly features.  He repaired drywall in many areas of both rooms. He painted the walls, the trim, the doors, the stairwell, and the stairs.

<br /> <br /> Tom Raymond responded quickly to a phone message I left for him.  He arrived within a few days to look at the job and promptly gave an estimate.  When he came to do the work, he brought all the necessary equipment to work alone.  He laid down tarps all the way from the front door up to and including the job site, so as to simplify collecting and hauling away the debris.  There was very little debris left behind at the end of the work.  Tom was very genial and pleasant all the time.  His professionalism was commendable.

The overall experience was very pleasant.  Tom and his crew were very professional.  They showed up when expected, even for the estimate.  Covered all the necessary surfaces with drop cloths - even covered the floor in other rooms where they needed to walk to get out or use the utility sink.  They took very good care not to get any paint on the wood-work.  You can not see where the settling cracks were located.   I didn't have to worry about what my young son might overhear from conversations or from the radio being played.  They cleaned up after themselves each day before they left.  Best of all, my walls look great!  

We got Raymond's Plastering and Decorating name from Angie's List.  I called and Tom immediately responded.  He came to look at the job and said he would get back with a quote, which he did within day.  We determined a start day and said it would take 2-3 days.  He started the job on a Monday and finished on Wednesday.  He was very professional, did a great job and thoroughly cleaned up every day. <br /> <br /> We have already recommended him to friends and are looking forward to using him again, without hesitation, in the future.

The guys were friendly, helpful, and left the house the way they found it.  They did an awesome job.  The walls look like brand new drywall as opposed to drywall covered in patches.  They were also helpful with painting and decorating tips as I painted the walls myself after the work was completed.  I expect to hire them again to complete similar work in the remaining rooms of the house.

I left Tom a voice message, he returned the call the same day and came out the next day (a Sunday) to provide an estimate. He provided a set price for the bedroom repair and wallpapering, but charged an hourly rate for the plaster crack repair. He commenced work approximatetly ten days later. He and his crew were true professionals and were careful to cover all furniture, walls and floors. They cleaned up thorougly after each workday and at the end of the job. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of work.

Tom repaired and replaced plaster in a bathroom, bedroom, hallway, staircase and foyer. He and his helper were punctual and friendly. They took about 3 days altogether. They cleaned up thoroughly. He gave me many helpful suggestions on painting.

The job went well. Tom and his crew were professional and all really nice guys.

It has been very good. He does excellent work, but he tends to be late when he arrives to do the job. He was about a half hour late both days.

Workers were polite and efficient. After the first wall repair, we had the ceiling in the bathroom replaced. Once again they did an excellent job.

As mentioned went well scheduled appointment and came on time. Cleaned up accordingly when the job was completed. Provided a contract which we like as consumers and outlined exactly the work to be completed. Provided an estimate upfront so no hidden causes occurred. Good company and excellent customer service.

This took many weeks. He would come in, put out protective drop cloths, move furniture out of the way, cover everything that could be contacted by plaster dust or paint, then do the work, and at the end of each job, completely clean up, leaving everything better than when he found it. My overall feeling is how much respect he showed for our house and its contents even though it needed so much work.

Tom is very professional and the quality of his work is outstanding.
