When Ray O. Cook Co. was founded in 1947, central heating systems were starting to become popular and central air conditioning was a luxury only few could afford. Harry S. Truman was president and World War II had just ended a few years prior. As time went on, our country celebrated post war times and central heating coupled with central air conditioning became more popular. As popularity grew along with heating and cooling technology, Ray O. Cook grew with the industry as well. For over 60 years, generations of families within the Greater Sacramento and surrounding areas have relied on the Ray O. Cook name for all their heating and cooling needs. In fact, Ray O Cook's continued success is attributed to their loyal customers who for many generations have put their trust in them. Our experience with Ray O. Cook went very well!! Our HVAC system was the original when the house was built over 40 years ago. My husband's excellent Do it Yourself skills allowed him to maintain it and keep it running all these years. We received estimates from 5 different companies. Although the other salesman/estimators were good, Paul was the best. He explained all our options more thoroughly than the others and his recommendations for installing the HVAC system for our needs and house size made the most sense. The price was very reasonable and fair. The installers, Willy and Rick T were awesome. They both worked professionally and took the time to answer any questions either one of us had with the install process. They also did an excellent cleanup job. Erick, the install manager was very knowledgeable and helpful. The insulation was put in by Sierra Wes, a company Ray O Cook contracts with and they did a great job also. Lastly, the Ray O. Cook logo of a flaming O is super cool!!!

I scheduled an air conditioner tune-up with Roy O. Cook and Sonny came out on the scheduled date and time. He did a thorough job of testing the compressor, cleaning the coils and measuring the air flow. I have a 4-ton unit and his meter showed my a/c unit was only performing at about 2.5 tons. After cleaning the coils and making adjustments, he was able to increase the efficiency to 3.7 tons. This is a significant improvement which equates to my a/c unit performing better when the hot weather eventually kicks in. Roseville Electric currently has a program that provides a $75 rebate towards a comprehensive tune-up. Sonny did an outstanding job and I'll definitely hire them again.

Awesome experience from one week prior to installation when Tech Sonny Osorio made a service call to my home! I made the decision to replace my very old system! He arranged for Estimator Paul McHugh to come to my house! New system was selected, installation date arraigned for 3/13/18. Rick Tudor and his crew did the installation! From start to finish Ray O. cook is the very best! Absolutely no high pressure and everyone was timely, efficient, polite, knowledgeable and extremely helpful! Answered all my questions, and the pricing was great! Highly recommend!

Went fine, on time, work done appropriately. Not cheap but well worth it. I bought their service agreement so they will be coming out in December to service the heater. I have several friends who are also using them. Can't remember what I paid but I did check around first and decided to go with them because of recommendations..

He showed up at 9:30, even though the appointment was at 3, claiming he was in the neighborhood. He was here less than 10 minutes. He said it was low on frion and there was a leak somewhere. He brought a sniffer tool in, saying that it should cost hundreds of dollars, but it was not charged, so he could not use it. He had already told me that I was looking at hundreds of dollars more just to find out where the leak was coming from, which upset me. When the sniffer failed to work, he said I seemed upset, and he left. I don't feel that I got what I paid for with this service.
