Excellent work trimming palm and oak trees.

We did do the special through him. It was really bad as far as communication. He contacted me initially right away, and then there was lack of communication for a while. He said he was going to be here one day and then he didn't show up and he didn't call. That happened a second time. He apologized and had an excuse and all. He did eventually come. He came out and did a fine job and he brought extra crew members. We started and it was well over a month before he ended up coming. He brought an extra guy because of all the mix-up with communication and stuff. Communication was the only real downside. Responsiveness was where the problem was. I was really to the point where I wanted my money back because of lack of communication. When he finally said he was going to come, I called him on his cell phone because he said he was going to be here early and he wasn't here. That was kind of a vague thing when he says early. When I hear early, I assume you're going to be here at 8 o'clock, if not sooner. So, I had actually called him on his cell phone because I was wondering where he was. We had to pay for it ahead of time and so that was the other thing that made us nervous. We paid for it full and we were not getting a response from him. So that kind of made me nervous.

They did not show up on the originally scheduled date. When they did show, upon arrival they advised that travel time was included in the paid for labor hours. One member of the crew disappeared for an hour and a half and left the job site. Another one stood around and ate for an hour. They left without depositing the wood chips mentioned in the description of the big deal and left trash in my yard. The irony of this whole ordeal is that the work that they did complete is actually very good. They have not called me back to try and get the work done.

Team was professional polite. Arrived promptly and finished the job early. I purchased a 3 men for a day special for tree removal as one tree was very large. When they came to survey the job they indicated it would not take all day to do it so they asked what else I would like done. I probably could have done with a less expensive purchase if I had had the job checked out before I purchased the special but that was my fault. The team did all I asked and still finished early. Job well done. <br />

<p>I saw the Angie's List deal for a full day of tree work for $1299. We had 4 trees to remove and 1 Oak to lift. I purchased the deal and within a few hours, Wally had contacted me through the Angie's List message service. We set up a time for him to come out and view the trees and property. He explained the stump grinding was not included and would cost an additional $300 the day of the service. Overall, for the amount of work involved, we thought the total price was fair.</p> <p>After Wally previewed the site, we settled on a date for him to come out with his crew and complete the work. Once they arrived, they began working immediately. While we live on a large piece of property, two of the trees were between the house and a fence, and another tree was close to the house. The crew took care not to damage any of the surrounding plants, shrubs, fence, gardens, etc. We asked for the mulch to be left on the property and they were pleased to do it. They hauled off the remaining larger pieces.</p> <p>I do have other tree work that needs to be done and plan on calling them when it is time. The  very large tree that was right next to the house on one side (less than 6 feet), a fence on the other side (about 10 feet), above ground power line coming into the house immediately behind it, and also power lines all the way across the front of the house.  In other words a very difficult removal because of the tight quarters.  I called Ray's Tree Service before buying one of their Big Deals because I was fairly certain my job would exceed the number of man hours stated in the deal. Wally answered his phone right away and the same day, went to my rental property where I needed the work done and gave me a more than fair estimate. I had three other estimates and his was by far the best price.  I wasn't quite ready to get the work done but when I called him a few weeks later on a Saturday, and he arranged to have his crew there the following Tuesday. They were there on time, even though I was late because of traffic!  I am very happy with all aspects of this company in regards to skill, safety, cleanup, and was very pleased Wally was conscientious about driving any heavy equipment across my septic drain field, which I had not even thought about - Happy with everything. I will definitely use him again!! <br />

Wally came by for a quote and we called him back to schedule the removal of the laurel oak tree.  On removal day Wally and company of six, arrived on time - even early.  They safely and efficiently removed the tree while protecting shrubs and a chicken coop that were that were below the tree.  This company has a bucket truck, a Bobcat and a large chipper, which allows them to be very effective at their job. They worked with us on specifics such as dealing with the stump and leaving us with a mound of mulch.  They even trimmed a few other small branches from other oaks on our property.  When they were done they cleaned up the area and left us feeling good about the whole experience. <br />

Wally and his team of Guys were fantastic. Wally came about 2 weeks prior to the job to take a look at a large Oak tree we had at our storage barn, and we decided to have him clear other trees so we could fence in the area. He had estimated the job would take 2 full days, but on a Friday Wally and his Team of about 6 strong team members took down the tree, chipped it and left us with lots of mulch, cleaned up all the trees with a bobcat, trimmed up our oaks and even blew all the leaves and debris off our roof....all in 1 day! His staff is capable, professional and courteous. It was amazing to watch them work as they are very skilled in taking down large trees. So glad we had them remove the Oak; when the cut it down we found it to be rotted down the middle, so it was only a matter of time before the tree would had caused major damage to our building. This is the best tree trimming company I have ever used.  I had many oaks and palms spread out over 5 acres.  I paid for a full day and they sent 4 guys a chipper and a bucket truck.  They did exactly what I asked, showed up on time and worked very hard.  They took a short lunch break and even worked through the pouring rain.  I was a little concerned about a day rate but I am very satisfied with the amount of work they got done.  They cleaned up the yard afterwards and it looked like they were never there.  I am calling them out again for another full day.  I highly recommend this company! <br />

Everything went well.  They came out in the morning as scheduled and took a look and gave me an estimate.  They said they would be able to do the work that afternoon if that was ok with me.  My schedule is tight and it worked out well.  They came at the time they said they would and completed the job to my satisfaction.  I will use their services again as needed and would also refer to friends.  :)

We used Ray's to do tree trimming and trunk removal at my daughter's house he did such a good job we hired him to do our oak trees. <br /> Very professional work and workers. After all was done they clean up and grind the branches , rack the lawn....like they were never there. <br /> Very good at what they do and will be doing more work at the neighbors yard! <br />

Everything went very well.  The crew was polite and knowledgeable, they did the work exactly as requested, and they cleaned up nicely after finishing.
