We bring over 21 years experience in all aspects of electrical install, design and maintenance. We are state licensed and licensed through the city of Pittsburgh as well. Couldn't have gone better. James submitted a competitive bid for the service. I read his reviews before asking for a quote. He came out quickly to do look over the job, provided a quote the same evening, and when hired was available within a few days. All the work was completed within one day. He was on time, prompt, professional, and stayed with the job until the work was done and my power was back on. The other bidders may have been able to do the work well, but I am glad I hired RCI. I would bring James back for other work in a heartbeat.

James reached out to me right away in October, then was out for COVID til January; I had to call him the morning of the job to find out he wasn't coming. He said he would reschedule me first but did not...... He eventually did part of the job even though I alerted him I wanted to add on a few things since he quoted me. He said he would reach out and call me back to "come back and finish." I felt I had to keep bothering him to get a response, and he eventually did not come through.... I had to hire elsewhere and was thrilled with them instead! What a hassle for a simple job. :(

"First of all, you were emailed 2 days prior of the scheduled appointment when we had the exposure. When we were in the process of rescheduling everyone we emailed you and gave you 5 available dates, you did not respond for 6 days and apologized for procrastinating, at that time those dates were filled already. We squeezed you in when it was convenient for you. When we did the initial job we found it was not going to be as difficult as originally thought and gave you 400$ off the initial bid. We relabeled the panel that you labeled wrong, removed old wiring that was no longer being used, checked out the light fixture that you said was blown up from old wiring which actually was a bad light fixture, separated all of the circuits in the kitchen and put gfcis in on the countertops where there weren't any.While we were there we looked at the additional work and told you it would be about a week and a half before we could schedule it. We again emailed you with available dates and again did not respond. It was 8 days later you responded and told us you did not want us to finish, which we never even started. The initial job was done and completed. We have the email chain if you'd like to revisit the time lapses in between us emailing you and you responding. If you were unhappy with anything you did not make us aware while we were there, in the process of scheduling the 2nd appointment or anytime thereafter. If you're going to tell a story, please tell the whole story."

I am very happy with the work James completed. He was fast, friendly, clean, respectful and clearly knowledgeable. He'll be my first call/text next time I need electrical work to see if he's free. DETAILS: I needed a 30-amp outlet installed to support a new electric dryer in my basement. This included installing a 30-amp outlet on the wall in the laundry area, running a new line along the wall & ceiling from the outlet to the breaker panel (including making small holes in our exposed ceiling joists to hide the wire), and rearranging our circuits/breakers in the panel to make room for the new line. James responded quickly after my Angieslist quote request (on a Sunday); stopped by that afternoon (again, on a Sunday) to take a look and give a quote; and came by the next morning to do the work. All things considered, very happy with James' work. Great guy.

It was a difficult job because my home does not have a basement and the line had to be run above the ceiling of a loft area in my house and then down into the kitchen. There was not much room in above the ceiling and it was complicated by ductwork already installed in that area. James came and reviewed the project and gave me an estimate based on 5 hours of work. We set a date and he completed the job as planned. He had to cut a small hole in the ceiling of a storage closet which he advised me of in advance. I was very satisfied (and appreciative) of his ability to complete this job!

James contacted us the same day I sent him the email to ask if he would be able to give us an estimate. He arrived when he said he would and emailed a written estimate the next day. He is very knowledgeable and fair in his pricing. We decided to have him do the work for us which was installing wiring for two ceiling fixtures. He arrived on time, brought floor coverings and cleaned up everything when he finished. We’re thoroughly happy with the work James did for us and will definitely hire him again for electrical work.

Very reasonably priced and the work was done in 2 sessions and one estimate visit and James was either on time or early (he called ahead to make sure early was ok). Everything was explained and the work is top notch. I would highly recommend and hire again in a heartbeat.

First, James showed up on time and presented us with a bid for the electrical work , which was more than fair. Second, his work is neat, clean and no corners were cut. . Third, the hook up of the generator (Generac) was quick and clean work. James ran a check of the system and explained all the wifi system to us. The system check was flawless. In closing James was on time everyday and also cleaned up his work area when finished at the end of the day. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A TOP NOTCH ELECTRICIAN.....JAMES IS THE ONE YOU WANT TO HIRE!
