Red Alert, Inc.

This is now a follow up from our initial experience. June 2015, everything was great. In the years that followed, it was very hard to get a call back. I would request a copy of my annual invoice, but never received it. I would be charged for the year, but no paperwork, no communication. Late 2022 we were notified that our equipment would have to be upgraded to continue to be monitored. We called and asked for a quote. It was more than our initial setup, we asked for any consideration for loyalty. We were told they would look into and call back. Nothing, so we looked into other providers. We went with someone and for less money set up a better system. Less for the monitoring too. With our new installation, we found out our glass breakers were never even connected on the Red Alert system. Let me also mention we had our alarm go off, maybe 2 years ago. We never got a call from monitoring, so I am really became less confident with the service (lack of customer service) Now that we have a new provider we requested a refund for the 6 months they were no longer monitoring us (because our equipment was not upgraded, we had no service from them) we prepaid for the year, they broke that contract. They refuse to refund us. Please STAY AWAY from Red Alert if you value your security and want a company you can rely on to not take advantage of you.

Al, the installer technician, upgraded my system after broken water line sprayed circuit board on old system and damaged it beyond repair. Very professional and patient, answered all my questions.

Just needed smoke detectors replaced as ten years old but thought price expensive for such a straight forward job.

I was experiencing a constant chirping of my existing smoke detector even though I had replaced the backup battery with a new, fresh one. In searching the internet, I found out that you are supposed to replace your smoke detectors every 10 years. As we had lived in the house (purchased new) for over 10 years, it was apparent that the 8 smoke detectors needed to be replaced. In talking with Robert, he confirmed that it was appropriate to replace the 8 smoke detectors given their normal service life but also recommended that the 2 smoke detectors in the 2nd floor hallway be replaced with combination smoke detectors/carbon monoxide units. All of the other 6 detectors were fine to remain as just smoke detectors. His price quote was less expensive than the other contractors that I had contacted. Overall the process was fairly smooth and the work completed as scheduled. I would recommend them to my neighbors and would not hesitate to use them again for any future security alarm/fire system issues.

We have a security system that is 23 years old and was no longer working. The owner Robert came out to look at it and make recommendations. We upgraded with a a new system that was retro-fitted to ours. Robert was able to accommodate us & come out a day after I called and we had an installation appointment within 3 days. Installation went smoothly. We now have a new system with a touchscreen keypad, app access to operate, with many expansion options including, locks, doors, lights, thermostats, etc and priced for less than you would expect for this kind of technology. The follow up after has been amazing. Great communication, excellent customer service. Robert and his staff is very professional. I definitely would recommend Red Alert !
