We used this company a few years ago to install several solar panels on our roof. We're very happy with the work and our energy bill. It was a smooth process and I would recommend them. We've even hired them to install more.

RegenEn Solar just finished our 54 panel installation. Excellent job on our house. The workers were professional and knowledgeable and cleaned up any mess immediately. Only one day delayed for very bad weather. They showed up ready to go when they promised to be here. They did exactly what we wanted and for the price we agreed upon. They walked us through the permit process step by step so we could start on schedule. We appreciated their attention to detail not just with the functionality but the appearance of the installation as well. Excellent job. We are so pleased with our net zero utility bill. A couple of times there was a miscommunication with the installer, but all was ironed out in the end. The 30% federal tax credit was very helpful and we paid no federal income tax for the 2015 installation year and carried over a remainder that helped out in 2016. For the real out-of-pocket, deduct 30% from the "approximate cost of service".

RegenEn Solar provided a competitive price and delivered and installed solar panels to our home. This was a major purchase for our family and Dan Hoffman answered our questions and explained in detail what we can expect. We were anxious to become environmentally friendly and at the same time get a strong value for our purchase. We achieved all these objectives. The workmen were professional. The solar panels were installed two years ago and we have had no performance or maintenance problems. We are extremely pleased with our purchase.

He got the panels installed and running on the day he said they would. No problems with the system except for when I had to turn off the fuse box to do some electrical work. I needed to have them send out an electrician to show me how to get the energy produced by the panels to run through the fuse box and out to the grid so the panels would work at peak capacity again.

After discovering that we needed a new roof, RegenEn Solar was very accommodating about removing and reinstalling our panels to facilitate the roof replacement. RegenEn personnel communicated directly with the roofing company to insure timely service and our panels were reconnected in a very timely manner. We are very pleased with our RegenEn Solar service and equipment.

It was supposed to last for 10-20 years. It has been messed up for about a year and a half now, and is not hardly producing anything. I cannot seem to get anyone to come out and fix it. They said I would need to pay extra on an extended warranty on the service.

"There was never a guarantee that this type of system would work for 20 years. This is a battery system and they have shorter lifespans. The systems we install now come with a 25-year warranty, but the systems 10 years ago used older model inverters. We fixed the unit for the customer at no cost even though their labor warranty is expired. We are adding monitoring at no charge so the system can receive online updates to avoid this issue going forward. We take care of our customers and honor our warranties. This customer's contract clearly stated that there was a 2 year labor warranty. It was also communicated to them that the solar panels come with a 20 year warranty but the inverters have a shorter warranty (5 years) and the older lead-acid batteries have a shorter warranty (1 year). Our new lithium-ion batteries now come with a 10-year warranty. The batteries went bad after a few years and we paid for new batteries out of our own pocket ($1,000) even though the battery warranty had expired. Plus we paid for any labor for the electrician to come out after the 2 year warranty has expired. We didn't make any mistakes when installing this system back in 2009, it was the best available technology at the time. The solar industry was in its infancy back then and is still changing rapidly."
