In 2016 Remodeling Experts LLC worked on replacing a shower/tub enclosure at my home. I got the estimate from Russell Palanchuk. After signing the contract and giving the downpayment, contacting Russell was difficult and there were communicating issues and misunderstandings about the details of the project (e.g. does the agreed upon shower enclosure has, or doesn't have a hold bar). 5 years later, I've discovered wet spots under the replaced shower. After opening the wall, I see that the supply lines installed by Remodeling Experts LLC are leaking. Green streaks on the copper pipes suggest oxidation issues because of an incorrectly done welding job.

The whole project went better than expected and extremely fast with no compromises on quality. Russell's leads the business and is the main planner and money guy - and safe to say that the rates are very competitive. Russell's crew are largely family members and were all extremely polite and considerate as we were living in the house during the project. The more senior crew members are very experience and clearly know finish carpentry and cabinetry very well. The younger guys took care of the more labor intensive work, but again were very skilled and fast. We did our project in two stages, the first only taking ~3 weeks with the larger kitchen and whole house remodel taking around 8 weeks; any other company would have taken 2-3 times as long. They moved fast, fast, fast. Over time, we learned to trust all the guys and would hire them again in a heart beat. I would say that this company isn't the type to hold your hand entirely through the project; you need to be into the details and understand what you're paying for. Before you sign the contract, make sure to specify every detail in writing of what you want an the exact cost.

Overall we're very pleased with the final product Remodel Experts, LLC did. Our kitchen is a lot more functional, bright with the added lighting they installed and the new cabinets really helped open things up giving us storage space we didn't have before. Additionally, towards the end of the project we asked if they could tack on an extra project and without flinching they took it on and added a built-in bookcase and replaced our living room mantle and it just looks amazing. We did have a few bumps along the way, but overall very happy with the end result.

The work was performed on time, in budget, and the result exceeded our expectations. Our bathroom is fantastic now and we could not be happier. The Remodeling Experts LLC team was professional and courteous. This was our first major work on our house, and we had several questions throughout the process. They were able to address all our concerns and guide us through the process. A+

Russell and his team were fantastic to work with from the beginning to the end. Russell had all the right advise about the choices we were making with the design (something we really needed) and his team was super focused on doing a quality job and doing it on time. Overall, the project costs were within our budget, great finishing and quality and finished ahead of schedule which was a huge plus for us. I would hire this team again and again for other projects.

The entire project went smoothly and beautifully. The contractor went above and beyond the original scope of work to get the work done at the highest quality. For example, the 6-step stair upgrade from carpet to wood went three man days extra with no extra charge just so it would make the perfect look. As this was the first time we did such a big project, updateing to original plan is unavoidable but the contractor are very keen on listening and accommodating our changes at a fair cost. My entire project turn-around time was 3 weeks, which is amazing, given changes and upgrades we made made under the way. Other bids with we received was 6 weeks to 3 months at similar or higher cost. Since project moved so fast, you will need to be on top of the progress and work closely with the contractor to make timely decision and keep the contractor timely updated with what you want/don’t want to avoid any misunderstandings and costs for undoing. We will definitely come back to this contractor for future project.

Russell and his crew did a fantastic job, and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. They were courteous, respectful, and tidy as well as being highly skilled and efficient. I was especially pleased with the tile work, which always makes me nervous, but they did a beautiful job. Very professional and nice to work with. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and have already recommended to several friends

Russell and his crew were amazing. They are skilled craftsmen, no nonsense with get it done focus. Our remodel was relatively small compared to others, but they took ONE WEEK for complete demolition to expert installation of cabinets, countertop, backsplash, and appliances. We could NOT be happier with their work.

This was my best remodel experience hands down. Russell’s team is fast and every one of them are true craftsmen! He had great ideas like building an island on wheels, putting my dryer vent in the wall, etc. I have so much space I don’t know what to do with it all. Mostly this team is so professional! I will use them for every remodel I do!

It has been a while since we have had this work done and I feel badly about taking so long to write a review, but in the meantime, I have been sending everyone I know to talk to Russell and his team! We had a complex project in a small space... knocking down a wall and turning a tiny 1928 kitchen and tiny dining room into one larger galley kitchen. It wasn't very wide, so needed careful design and custom cabinetry everywhere. We had done some thinking about it with another designer and brought plans to Russell. We hired his team to do the work and were so impressed with the results! I'll break down the categories: Price -- We gave a scope of work to 9 different contractors and got fairly consistent pricing, and his was one of the lowest. We did have a little bit of extra cost at the end that we had a misunderstanding about because of a miscommunication, but Russell met with us to resolve that fairly in a professional manner. Also, in the end, we were able to get a much higher quality and therefore better value for the price from Russell and his team versus what we had been shown with other companies. We really appreciated being able to supply our own appliances, fixtures, etc, instead of having them so greatly marked up by other companies. That saved on cost and helped us get what we wanted. Workmanship - Excellent! We couldn't be more satisfied with the job the team did. They really took time and care and were knowledgeable throughout the process. The quality of our kitchen is amazing, and we know it is higher quality than we would have gotten for the same price elsewhere. They were also able to do complex tasks like match our original wood floors excellently without too much concern, whereas other companies made a much bigger deal out of this part of the job. Timing - Wow! I was so doubtful they could get this done in the 3 weeks they quoted, but they did! We were incredibly impressed. They are a family business and they work one job at a time and they work hard! They were here from 7-7 many days, and their tile guy, with our permission, even came on Thanksgiving morning to work! Working with Them - One thing to know, because of how fast they work, is that you have to be prepared to make quick decisions. They did a lot of on-the-spot changes and were much more flexible with, say, our custom cabinets (they cut them on site) or the shape of our countertop, but we had to be ready to make a decision because it would impact the next day's work. I did have a little panic over paint color and had to ask them to wait a day to paint while I decided, which they did graciously. Russell was also really knowledgeable and helpful in helping us get the right aesthetic and picking out the right materials... We ended up with the perfect countertop and backsplash after he brought us samples, and we had been looking for months on our own! Bottom line - I wouldn't hire anyone else for a remodel job! And believe us, we talked to about 20 people and interviewed 9 formally! We are so hapy with the work Russell and his team did! :)

The team arrived early each day and worked professionally and diligently. They cleaned up at end of every day nicely. We have a lot going on these days, so getting our kitchen redo done promptly was very important to us. Russell promised 6 days, and it was done in 5.5 days. We are pleased with the outcome. Russell was communicative from time of quote through final review. I can't comment on price. We didn't get other quotes.

Russell his team was excellent to work with. He was very responsive and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. The team left the rest of the house clean even though their work required a lot of mess! They were punctual and got the project completed a bit earlier than projected and in budget. Highly recommended and I won't hesitate to hire them again.

The work crew (3-4 guys) was rapid, multi-tasking, clean, and very efficient. Their task was to install a: (1) new kitchen (including electric, plumbing, gas, DWV, flooring), (2) add an interior walll, (3) reinforce a load-bearing wall (including concrete footings in the crawlspace), (4) replace two clothes closets with a pantry and a linen closet, and (5) refurbish an entry and hallway space. We added on some patching, texturing and painting in the living/dining room area. The crew was polite, no-nonsense and focused. Several issues arose where our input was sought but it wasn’t always clear that a cost effect would apply—and when a cost would apply, the boss (Russell) was unavailable/not responsive in a timely manner. Consequently, we had a pricing surprise at the end of the project. To Russel’s credit however, he received our criticism enough to sufficiently compromise the price increase to our satisfaction. I believe the miscommunications are correctable. We will be considering Remodeling Experts for our upcoming bathroom remodels. The work quality is that good.

Overall, I am glad that I used this company, as project was delivered on time, with good quality and they always maintained cleanliness of the workspace. My concerns are related to moderate level of miscommunication (I have seen much worse, but for price paid I'd like to see better transparency and planning). The project took 3 weeks with 2 rotating people working on it. I paid 55K, after considering materials provided by contractor, this is almost 8K per worker per week price. I would recommend them to other people, who need time-efficiency and high quality, and are willing to pay high price and still be highly involved. For my own next projects I will be looking for other providers.

This review is long over due as the work was done early 2016 and I forgot to write it! Fantastic job though. Quick, professional and - tidy! They cleaned up meticulously every day. Once I'm in a position to do the master bathroom I will not hesitate to call Russell & Remodelling Experts to do the job.

From beginning to end, Russell and his team were very easy to work with. Responsive, conscientious, clean and timely. Along, with an eye for detail that provides an excellent quality of workmanship with strong finishing detail. What really sets this company apart from its competition though is their turnaround time. Our bathroom was finished in ONE week with no compromise in quality. I have no hesitation in recommending Russell and his team for your remodeling needs.

Our experience with Remodeling Experts was first-rate.  Russell guided us through selections of floor tile, counter tops, back-splash, and paint color, deferring to our tastes but always with good suggestions.  He was extremely knowledgeable but not at all pushy.  We never had the sense that he was up-selling.  We had only one surprise: the kitchen floor under the tile needed work to make it level, which was revealed only after the old tile was removed, but it wasn't an expensive addition to the overall cost.  The work included removing a wall and installing a support beam to open up the kitchen.   The crew arrived the day they said they would, and took only two and a half weeks for the project--which they had predicted in advance--even though this was a to-the-studs remodel.  They never disappeared for days at a time mid-project to go do another job, which is a problem with some contractors.  Russell's brother Radu was on site every day, doing much of the work.   When asked questions, Radu always took the time to answer completely, and was fun to get to know.  The crew cleaned up every day after work.  They worked hard for long hours, and were a pleasure to have in the house.  Our new kitchen and powder room are elegant and wonderful.  We will hire Remodelling Experts again when it is time to re-do our upstairs bathrooms.

Russell and his crew did an outstanding job remodeling my kitchen. They are very experienced and knowledgeable, with lots of good suggestions. The biggest selling point was how quickly they worked - a large kitchen completely remodeled in just 2 weeks! The price is not the cheapest, but quality of work and speed in completion were worth it.

It was surprisingly more difficult than we had thought to find someone who could do all parts of our remodel (tiling, cabinets, counter tops, drywall, light electrical, tub/sink install, painting) but luckily we found Remodeling Experts and they did an incredible job on everything. Nothing was done sub-par and in many cases they went above and beyond what was in my quote. Beautiful tile work, high quality cabinets and counter tops, and it was all done in LESS THAN A WEEK. Plus because I like shopping and saving money where I can, they were totally fine with me purchasing the tub, toilet, tile, and faucet on my own and taking them out of the quote. One of the contractors we got a quote from refused to even let me get the tile because 'he makes part of his profit from buying them himself.' Wha?? <br>Remodeling Experts is probably the 15th contractor we've hired off Angie's List (such is the life with a Seattle "fixer upper") and they are easily in the top 3 of the best we've had and I am looking forward to working with them when we're ready to do our kitchen and main bathroom. They did a spectacular job, and I've already suggested them to co-workers and family members.

I first contacted Russell in late September about a minor kitchen remodel. Initial consultation was scheduled quickly and went well. Russell seemed to immediately understand what I was hoping to do and had some good suggestions. The estimate was received a couple of weeks later. After agreed upon, we sent half the estimate and waited for the work to be scheduled. We weren't in a rush so it wasn't a big deal to hear they wouldn't be able to get to us until late December.  <br /> It took a bit of goading on my part to get a date for when the work would happen but once finally scheduled, all went well - there were some added expenses with moving some plumbing and electrical and the countertop ended up being more expensive than estimated. Overall, Russell's crew did a great job - we are very pleased with the outcome. Would recommend. <br />

I began corresponding with Russell in May. It took several months for them to have a vacancy for me, but once they got started it was amazingly fast. The work was completed fully in three and a half days. Russell and his team were receptive to changes and had great recommendations.  I am so happy with the new bathroom. <br />

It went great. A lead worker and a helper came the first day. Things are never straight forward in a house built in 1912 but they were able to install almost everything in one long day. The next day the lead worker returned to finish the fan and the stabilizing. Both days the workers were respectful and tidy. They worked hard and only took a lunch break. It took creativity and know-how to get the new vanity into the old spot with no "holes" but they did it. My bathroom is much improved both in functionality and in looks. <br />
