Remodeling Upstate

I hired these guys to finish my kitchen and downstairs bathroom as we are going to sell this house. I ,sadly, started to renovate the kitchen when we moved in and never finished the job - my bad - but who among us has never completed a project. the work was basically; A new ceiling , the other half of a tile backslash , sheetrock work , painting , renovating a half bath , repairing some rot in the garage roof and installing a new metal roof. I cannot describe what a cob job this work performed is. This is the worst sheet-rock job I have ever seen - a 5 year old could have done a better job - and yes, I have it all documented in pictures. The repairs on the garage roof are awful . the rot wasn't fixed and the roof wasn't installed correctly - I have 2 roofers to verify that. In my kitchen they didn't remove the excess grout on the backslash , so now I have to clean it up. as I mentioned the joint compound work is terrible. They didn't finish the moulding work . The bathroom sink wasn't installed . They didn't finish the painting and what painting they did is lousy. My house has sheetrock dust all over - even upstairs. The counter tops are scratched and I am still cleaning so I don't know if the hardwood floors are damaged. This whole experience was horrible! And they just decided that Sunday was all the time they were going to spend and demanded their money. I told them I wasn't happy and they said "what do your care you're selling the house" and no remedy was offered. I could go on but I think I have made my point. I cannot in all honesty put this house up for sale and ask top dollar for it with the crappy roof job and I don't know what to do about the substandard interior work. I paid $16,000 for this ( so called) work and I am not made of money. I wouldn't hire these guys again to tie my shoes - period! Update 10/6/21 last I knew - 8335 + 5889 comes to $14224 -( I have the receipts) I got some money off for materials paid for but not used and the scratched countertops. The original proposal was for $12,979 for labor and about $3600 in materials($16579) I paid you in full Sunday with a check which you cashed first thing Monday morning. I never said I didn't have the money , I said I like to use bank checks. And since they decided late Saturday they had other homeowners to cheat I couldn't get to the bank to get one. I did argue but it was because the job wasn't completed and the work done was terrible . The particle board fascia is already falling off . All you have to do is look at the pictures I uploaded and make up your own mind. I think the disinformation in the provider's response says it all. Now I have to go as I'm busy trying to correct this mess.

Day ONE removal of tub, put up backer board from floor to top of where the tub enclosure would end. Put waterproofing Red Guard on all the seems and screw holes and the team left. That afternoon we looked over their work. There was a considerable bow on one of the green board panels and red guard was applied very messy and had lumps and bumps in the corners, also the new faucets were angled down not straight. Day 2 we discussed fixing the issues. They did put a stud in the bowed wall which helped, and fix the faucets. DAY 3 the team arrived and sat around waiting for tools for about 45 min. At that point they said the shower pan would not fit in the opening and we would have to move the side wall a 1/2 in. When we heard that with the extra cost would be $3400 more for labor and supply's we were upset To say the least. DAY 4 they didn't show up at the house so i texted them and was told because of the slightly heated discussion the day before, he would only commutate with us thru Email. Its been 8 days with no shower. We had to get our lawyer involved and as of today the contract has been canceled Now we are left to finished the bathroom.

They finished on time and the job was great after they were done materials are very expensive now a days
