Shannon and Ken Dixon fled Colorado and set up shop in Florida under a new name. Everytime their quality of work catches up to them, they reopen under a new llc. They seem to be slowly working on having references to the other company names removed from the internet. Check out their work for yourself: Dixon Renovation Squad [*** Link removed ***]

Our roof was repaired quickly and efficiently, once we found and contacted Reno Pros. Previously I had contacted numerous contractors, who either did not return my calls or refused to work on metal roofs. Reno Pros contacted me every step of the way and completed the roof in our absence, providing pictures and assuring that the aluminum debris was recycled. They were a delight to work with, attentive to our needs and wants.

Hurricane Ian destroyed our very large, 2 story lanai. We literally begged several companies here in Sarasota to rebuild this for us. Not a single one of them wanted the job, even the company that re-screened it less than one year before Ian. Then we found RenoPros. They were eager to help us out and had recently partnered with Industry Screens. RenoPros took care of everything. They did what 4-5 other companies in Sarasota would not do. They got a very complex measurement of our lanai done and then got the job scheduled. The work was started and completed on time at the price agreed upon, and the rebuild is amazing. We couldn't be happier and would hire RenoPros again and again!

I just love Shannon and Ken! I had hurricane damage and they have been so understanding in dealing with insurance and FEMA. Shannon has been in contact with me the whole time when I’ve had questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend RenoPros they are the best!! I will definitely have them remodel my kitchen/living room in the next few months. I cannot express enough in words how great they truly are.

PLEASE BE AWARE!!! Do not expect a phone call from them, or to show up at the sight of work while the project is ongoing to overlook the progress, they will rip you off and provide a terrible customer service. We hired Dixon to remodel our kitchen, update lighting in all of the house and to re-stain our floors (we ended up pulling the floor project because we were getting such terrible service and were being upcharges constantly). Original estimate was for $45k and ended up being $85k (without including the floors). The subcontractors they originally hired were no shows half the time, so they brought in someone else and they were ok. Shannon, the project manager never would answer/return my calls because she would only communicate through texts or email. Its been over a year since we started this project and we are still missing 3 cabinet doors that are now no longer sold or made by IKEA. Even though its not their fault that IKEA no longer makes this cabinet, Shannon failed to follow up on time with IKEA or let us know that they moved out of state and that we should not be expecting the missing parts sine IKEA is no longer making them. It is October now, since January, I've been following up every 2-3 months with Dixons on this and they kept telling me that IKEA promised to deliver the parts prior to year end. Last time I followed up was early July, and they responded that they have not heard anything yet. Now its October, I followed up again and Shannon told me they moved out of state so she FORGOT to let me know that IKEA got back to them in July and told them the parts are not coming. Now we have to find another contractor to finalize our kitchen. They charge 30% fee for miscommunication, negligence and rudeness. PLEASE DO NOT WORK WITH DIXON or DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH THEM!!! You will be disappointed!

This company is amazing. I was very nervous about the entire process as many owners often are. They were very through and made sure to let me know the status of our upgrade as the work was being completed. They are obviously masters at their craft because the end result was better then I could have imagined. They are excellent communicators, they have amazing attention to detail and are so professional. It was refreshing working with this company and these owners. I highly recommend them for all your home needs. Amazing!!

We had a wonderful experience with Reno Pros! We use them for some minor and major jobs, One of which was a full gut remodel. They are not only professional what they do they are VERY skilled and reliable. They offered me a very reasonable quote and the end product exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Reno pros. PLEASE beware!!!! Dixon is the worst contractor I have ever used. I hired them to build a covered patio. They in turned hired a really bad sub-contractor who did a very poor job on the concrete patio. While not entirely their fault, they did fail to oversee the sub-contractor they hired. Then when everything went south, they stood behind the sub-contractor and wouldn't fix the problems or force the sub-contractor to fix the issues. Not every project goes as planned and I never blamed them for the poor work of the subs, but I didn't hire the sub-contractor, they did, and so they have a responsibility to resolve issues caused by their contractors. They also have a responsibility to ensure their sub-contractors are licensed and carry the correct insurance. In their contracts they try to limit your ability to communicate dissatisfaction with their work, remove your options to collect attorneys fee, or basically hold them accountable for their work. ****Please dont sign a contract**** with them, or any contractor, without an attorney reviewing the contact. It took 10 months and over $10K in attorney fees to collect $20K in damages. It has been a nightmare working with Dixon that I will never forget. I do have complete documentation of all of the issues Dixon caused and there is no dispute Dixon was negligent in their duties as a General Contractor. I personally would cation anyone who is thinking of using them to look elsewhere as Dixon is not one of the good ones.

"This review is slander. This client hired us to pour a new patio and build a covered roof overhang. The concrete contractor I hired did a bad job on the finish, so we met with the homeowners, agreed with their complaints, met with the concrete contractor who also agreed with the complaints and worked towards the repair. Then the concrete contractor kept not showing up when they said they would, they kept saying they would communicate with the homeowners and didn't and I was caught in the middle trying to get them to do their job. When they finally completed their repairs, it wasn't good enough, so the homeowners filed a claim against the concrete company to have the slab removed. The claim was denied, so the homeowners sued my company for $26,000! We managed the situation at every step, but we didn't pour the concrete ourselves and couldn't do anything about the bad finish the concrete company did...even if we were there every second of the job, with concrete work, once it's done poorly, you can't just remove it and repair it like you can with a deck. We personally tried everything, but we could not appease this client. So, they sued us and named my husband personally and tried to attack my family rather than going after the concrete company when they knew we tried to remedy the situation and were left without any options. This concrete company did a bad job, they lost the client for me, ruined my reputation, got me sued and now left me with a client who still feels the need to post negative slander about my company all over the internet when we didn't do anything wrong and couldn't control the work ethic of someone else's company! Our only fault in this entire situation was hiring a concrete company that was referred to me from another contractor and had 5 star reviews, a clean background check and positive testimonials...there was no way for me to know they would do a bad job and then walk away after their version of repair wasn't good enough."

We ended up firing them right before they finished, they were 40% over budget at that point. Shannon bought our project with a low bid and then nickel and dimed us. She is an uneducated bidder, scheduler and cannot even invoice correctly. All the subs I talked to didn't like working with her. She and Ken do not communicate, even though she is the office side and he is the construction side. Do not be tempted by their low bid it will turn into a nightmare.

"Unfortunately, this couldn't be further from the truth. The only item that came in higher than our original estimate was the plumbing...there was no way to know that all his internal plumbing was too small to pass inspection and had to be redone, this is not something you can estimate by walking into the home and viewing an empty space that would soon be a bathroom. [Member Name Removed] blamed us for nickel and diming him because he changed the scope multiple times, added to the project at every turn and had our staff perform tasks without checking with us first...when I asked him to discuss changes with us and not our staff so we could manage the project properly, his response was "I will do whatever I want in my home". [Member Name Removed] would not keep to the scope of this project, he blamed us when the price increased due to his change orders, he managed our staff when he was asked to go through us, he wouldn't stay out of the project management, yelled at our staff to the point that two crews threatened to walk off the job, he blamed me and my husband for not communicating when he would tell my husband something and tell me something different (I assume the purpose was to not be charged for the work he asked them to do), and he consistently insulted me personally because he couldn't read an invoice. [Member Name Removed] says our staff talked badly about me, but our staff was literally unwilling to go to his house because of how horrible he treated every single person in his home...I doubt they actually spoke negatively about me, lol! I know I can't have reviews removed because that's not how freedom of speech works whether the words are true or not, but this review is a lie and isn't a fair representation of our company, our work quality or me personally...I wish we could show the beautiful bathroom we still created under these horrible circumstances, but we were fired two days before completion because the client didn't want to pay his bill!"

We used Dixon Renovation Squad to redo three shower/bath alcoves in our home. They were easy to work with, stuck to the estimated budget and quickly responded to us when we had questions or needed them. We did have one issue with the plumber they used (no longer with them) but Shannon was extremely responsive and got it corrected quickly. Their tile team did a great job and even stayed late one night so that we could have a working shower. Shannon and Ken came to inspect the job after it was finished and we were very pleased with the outcome and would recommend them to our friends!

Very happy with outcome of mid-size remodel project (painting, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.). Crews (plumbing, painting, tile, drywall, electric, demolition, finishing) all did excellent work and were respectful at all times (including wearing masks). Ken and Shannon were a pleasure to work with and they both worked hard to make sure the project went smoothly and was completed to my satisfaction.

Shannon and Ken and the crews they hired for each particular job that needed done, were all amazing. Very nice, good at what they do, and we enjoyed all of them.
