On July 11th, contractor began work and had sub contractor on site to demolish stucco around existing windows for window replacement. The sub contractor finished in one day. Then no work for two days. Crews then arrived to prep window openings for new windows. Some, but not all, of the new windows were install by the sub contractor on July 18th. On July 19th, Reno Renovators finished installing a new screen door for the patio and then stopped work for the day. The project manager at Reno Renovators had contacted me at 7:00 pm that day to let me know that she had been laid off. She also informed me that other key staff members had been laid off that same day. On the morning of July 20th, I personally went to the main office for Reno Renovators and personally saw the owner in the act of destroying documents. I politely discussed situation with the owner of the Reno Renovators, Mr. Todd Smith, and was informed that the project would not be completed. I was also informed that my deposit would not be returned. They left me with little to no recourse for finishing the work that they had started. I left the Reno Renovators office to prevent escalation of the situation and began looking into legal recourse. Despite being under contract for work since Mid-April, I discovered that Reno Renovators did NOT pull simple over the counter permits for the window replacement. These permits only cost about $35. Overall, this is a very bad situation.

The owner contacted us and scheduled a day and time to come and give estimate. He showed up and emailed us within a day and then we scheduled day and time to have project done. They came and did a great job!
I cannot say enough about how well Todd and Dan managed our floor/wall repair project. It included a water damage demolition team, flooring team from Simas Flooring, drywall team, and baseboard install. Todd was able to be present when the independent insurance adjuster had an appointment and was very helpful in alerting and reminding the adjuster of important items for the insurance quote. Subsequently they managed the actual project with the various flooring and drywall people and it went pretty much according to plan. All of the workers did great work, but especially want to mention the incredible baseboard work, absolutely beautiful! Also a shout out to Dan who did an excellent job of communicating via phone, text, and email ? which I
think is the key to a happy customer. We have had two significant projects (total value over $25K) with Reno Renovators in the last two years and the most important thing we can say is that we trust them.

The entire project went very well. I highly recommend their services. They responded quickly to my emergency call and questions. The office girls were extremely friendly and helpful as well as the workers in my home. Everyone, including the sub contractors were polite and professional. The whole process of restoring my home was much easier and quicker than I expected.
It took a long time to complete. Communication was not as good as it could of been. Most of the work was fine. Some promised corrections did not meet expectations.
The final results are good, but they are very unresponsive. It took several calls and e-mails to get the project started and completed. They had to redo parts of the project because of the bad sub-contractors that they used. When they did the bar install they also gave us a quote on installing some ceiling fans. I told them we didn't need them right away, because it was winter, but when it got closer to summer we would want them to do the install. I have now e-mailed them several times, with no response and called them to try and get them to put in the fans. We will not use them again.
He was good. There is always issues with communication where you realize after the fact you should have said something differently to clarify. But I would use them again. The contractor does what he does and then the sub contractors need to do the same level and my perspective is they didn't. That's just the way it is. The price was okay. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone ahead and have him do it.

Although the company was very professional in its dealings, we found their response to be slow (presumably they're quite busy), and their pricing to be rather high, compared to other vendors we've used.
We had Todd come in and look at several items from the inspection report after we bought a new house. The work performed was prompt, professional and reasonably priced.
Todd's crew applied epoxy to seal the garage floor and install a vapor barrier in the crawl space. They also moved a heating vent for us as well.
We would have hired them to do more work for us, but given their prices and quality they are very busy!
It took them about 2.5 weeks during the holiday season. The employees varied to 2 – 6 employees working almost every day. They were really erratic. I made points about cleanup and I made them stop at one point to clean up. The painters were bad and had an attitude. The drywall was a little sloppy too. The lead who was there, this was his last job with this company. He upsold me and I found out afterward I was charged more for that service. They did stay to their quote, but I did upgrade for the framing and drywall to the arches and that was a surprise to me. I was then presented with the invoice, but they did go half/half with me on that price. The paint upsell was cleared and approved. They also did leave some equipment, I have called them and spoke to someone about this and they still have not come over to pick that up.

With the remodel, we got full price for our home. The home had been on the market with limited success for 8 months. It sold with two full-price offers after the remodel. The work was very well done, on time and reasonably priced. Reno Renovators has our strong recommendation. Todd provided a final touch-up of the paint and even hauled off all of our old paint cans without charge. All of the workers were very professional, courteous and capable.

Team appeared in timely manner. Work very thorough and professional. A lot of attention to detail. Results are extremely impressive, and I look forward to doing business with them in all future projects. The team members I spoke with are very knowledgeable about their work fields, and I consider them highly reliable.

I contacted them again last summer and was extremely disappointed in the changes the company has gone through. I will not use them again.
Response from Reno Renovators
"I am sorry you were disappointed when you called back for additional work. It is always our goal to provide everyone with excellent service from the first phone call to the completion of the job. The company has gone through changes recently because customer satisfaction is our primary goal. Todd Smith General Manager"

The job was done professionally and looks great. The painter cleaned up the job well and kept us informed each step of the way. The only minus is that the job took two days longer due to illness of the painter. All in all, we are satisfied with the work!

A pipe was leaking inside the wall between the master bathroom and the outside. There was serious water damage to the studs and the wood just fell apart when you touched it. Todd with Reno Renovators came to the rescue! Todd recommended that we remove as much of the siding and insulation before the work started to let it air out and to save money. Once the crew got on the job, it was done within two days. Todd walked us through the whole process, which is nice for first-time homeowners, and his crew did a fantastic job.

My only criticism is that once the initial meeting took place, we didn't hear from him for some time. We understood that we were next on the list after they finished another job, but we didn't hear from him for a couple of weeks. A phone call would have been nice to reassure us that we weren't forgotten.
