Renovatio 9106 Basswood Dr. Tinley Park, IL. 60487 I am a disable veteran. I hire Renovation to renovate my basement, we agreed on two phases to be done: Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 was started around January 3, 2022 and a contract was drawn up during that time which included; Minor plumbing for the bathroom Closes Electricity w/light fix Mini Bar nuke Framing, Drywall, and Lamented Flo Spray the ceiling w/black p Painting Drywall Although, Phase 1 was finished around March 15, 2022, there were discrepancies in the work that still needs to be corrected but was minor and my wife and I felt she would correct these issues during phase 2. Bad drywall work Trim unfinished Lamented floor with scratches near mini bar. Ceiling needs to be touched up. Phase 2 of the basement started on April 11, 2022 and we verbal agreed on costs (labor and materials), the work would include; Finish Lamented Flooring Framing, Drywall, and Trim Build support for electric fireplace Stain wood in bedroom. Spray the ceiling w/black paint install doors in bathroom, utility closet and bedroom install Acoustic jazz panels Paint Drywall Install design panel in stairwell Finish columns The major problems started during Phase 2 after I paid her all of the money for the renovation job. I began to notice the lack of skills and professionalism with the new workers Renovation had hired this included; Workers not working consistently. Workers walking off the job because they were not getting paid by Renovation/and or late. Because of this, a large amount garage materials were left in my drive way for months. My furniture was covered with drywall dust because the workers did not lay down plastic, which I had to clean up by the way. Renovation, ordered to much materials which I had to take back to Home Depot myself. Renovation (Colleen Slattery) lost my house key while on a VACATION! Further, this contractor company left a lot of projects unfinished which included; Electric fireplace still needs to be mounted. Trim needs to be painted and caulked. Wood in bedroom needs to be stained. Drywall need to be corrected and painted again. Acoustic jazz panels still need to be bought and installed. Doors need to be bought and installed. Stairwell panels need to be finished. Columns need to be finished It is important to note, I have tried to contact Renovation on a number of occasions in order to get these problems that stated above resolved and my basement finished. However, all communication from Renovation has stopped. Please do not hire this contractor company to boil an egg. You have been warned!

She was dishonest in taking the money and not doing the job as outlined in the contract; She has given me a lot of excuses and has no intention of doing the job as she has had 8 weeks to get the permit. I'm going to file a complaint with the IL state attorney and see if they can mediate to get my money back, if not I will get a lawyer.

After contract was signed and 50% deposit was given to Renovatio, the work was never completed. Renovatio will not respond to our inquiries on schedule, next steps or completing the work. We are left in the lurch with a partially finished basement and out of pocket over $7,000.

Wonderful team to work with. A few hiccups along the way, but in the end my remodeled bathroom is gorgeous! Colleen is a joy to work with!
