We had a contract signed on around either the end of August or the beginning of September, 2015. He said it would take 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 months to complete the job. It moved fast at the beginning then it slowed down... Anyway, I gave him the last check on June 29, 2016. I like the way it looks, my basement and deck. It looks awesome but it was very stressful to bug him to finish the job. Email me smegkp@gmail.com if you need detailed info. I recommend him if you don't mind to wait for a long time to finish.

From the beginning we were. If on the same page as to what we thought we were getting from sample photos presented. The sub contractor was good and had to fight with the contractor to give us what we wanted. I have no problem with the end product as it is very pretty. However it was like pulling teeth to get it done. It was supposed to take 3 mins and it went into over one year. The contractor kept pulling the sub off fir new jobs without finishing our project. It still is not finished because the prime contractor wanted to install a storm door and the sub showed up with a screen door which had to be jury rigged to make it cut. It is warped and in damp weather will not open as it is vinyl door. When the painter came to spray paint the steps he sprayed the door screen white with overspray. He said it did not matter because the door would be replaced. And to date that has not happened. That was in 10/15. The builder thought we were directing the sub because they did a flower bed and a couple if other little things outside the contract. But we paid them outside the contract for any work that was not included.

They don't show up unless I call Roger and bug him. Our contract signed on Spet. 10th, 2015. The job supposed to finish in the middle of December, 2015, but it still has not been done. It is March 25th, 2016. I didn't hear from him almost two weeks, so I messaged him three days ago. He responded right away that day but neither workers showed up nor hear from him since that. I will leave another review after he is done my house.
The job went well, the work crew came on time, performed the work, and corrected deficiencies that were identified prior to work being completed.

The work went very well! The work was completed within 5 days and the craftsmanship of the carpenter went beyond my expectation. The carpenters were courteous, professional, and on time. I would definitely recommend.

This is a high level overview of our experience and satisfaction.
Poor communication and project management. Between the start of the project on April 23, 2015 to today, December 1, 2015, no more than 16 days were on site. Routinely did not (and has not) shown up as promised. As a result we were not home the majority of the 16 days worked. Final structural decisions made without our input. Poor painting and staining workmanship. Lack of follow through - punch items still not complete. Mistakenly interpreted our "settling" on issues as satisfaction on project items. On a positive note, we enjoy having a new deck and screened in porch and the price was fair. The owner needs a good project manager to handle day to day scheduling and communication.

Response from Renovation Home Concepts LLC
"At the time we started the project I had indicated to the homeowner we were very busy. I gave a window of time to complete the project which homeowner agreed to at signing of the contract. We had the entire porch and deck framed in one weekend. Homeowner is correct in her assessment we worked on job in waves of time during the duration of contract. I unfortunately can't work my entire business model around someone's travel schedule and maintain productivity on a job that is outside and dictated by the weather. As for the painting and staining.. Painters had gotten caught by heavy rain storms that basically we're not in the forecast. Created complications with end product. I made multiple attempts to correct any issues which homeowner kept saying don't worry about. I find it a little hypocritical to come back and judge me on things that I made attempts to correct. As for the punch items she has mentioned not complete. I try to be very accommodating to people's request to correct things. I gave her opportunity after opportunity to generate a punch list.. We would complete a punch list then all of a sudden a would mysteriously have another one.. Then another one. I think she has confused punch list with warranty items which are normal in many construction environments that I honor for a year.. Overall she seemed happy with everything and neighbors raved about the end product"

"[removed member's name]was a really nice person. The problem was my timeline and her timeline did not see eye to eye. She was wanting to put her house on the market with a very short time window to perform the renovation tasks and to schedule in between a yard sale. To add to the issue the weather was not cooperating. Everything we were doing for [removed member's name]required sunny/dry conditions. It was hard for her to understand why this played such an important role in making the job turn out properly. I explained to her I had many jobs going on at the same time as hers and could not just drop everything we had going on to jump on hers last minute. Weather was like an omen on her job. In the end everything turned out fine and she was happy. Quite frankly I'm surprised by her review but you can't please everyone. I wish her the best with her new life in Florida.."

Roger and his team completely gutted my kitchen and did an amazing job of putting it back together! His crew cleaned up every day and were incredibly professional. Roger also met me on a Sunday to help me pick out tile since I was having so many problems finding it on my own- what contractor does that? I had to travel in the middle of the reno and was able to leave Roger and his team to complete the work (and make design decisions) which was a huge plus!
He's incredibly busy so scheduling can be challenging, but the quality of work and the ability to trust who is coming in your home far exceeds any minor scheduling hiccups. I When I need work completed on my home there isn't any other company I'd go to!
I did not hire this contractor to do the work. He seemed to understand the project and made helpful comments, but the one-page estimate I received was very general and vague, and the sketch he provided (as part of the $68 fee) was not something I could take to my HOA for approval. I did not get the feeling he wanted my project, so I went with someone else.
Response from Renovation Home Concepts LLC
"Hi [member's name removed]. I think you had a big misconception as to how that store front offer worked. I came out there on a few occasions to discuss options with you. I told you at our initial meeting that I was backed up on projects and would take a little bit to get back to you and schedule your project. You said that was fine. I also indicated to you the sketch I would draw would be a very basic drawing and nothing that you could use to take to the city or HOA for approval. I was used before to perform those services and then the customer went and did the project on their own. I am sorry you thought I did not want your project which was never the case. I even followed up with you and you said u were getting a few more estimates to compare. So for you to assume what you assumed is in my opinion unwarranted and I feel needs to be stricken from this review forum. I will gladly come reimburse you your $68 if that makes you happy. I will be contacting Angieslist and report this review. I will leave it up to you to decide what is best for you. As I said earlier I will be happy to reimburse your $68.00"

I selected Renovation Home concepts to work on a basement build out at my primary residence. I liked the ideas Roger brought to the table and I liked that he was willing to work with my unusual designs and requests. Roger was always responsive and quick to respond over phone or email to any questions or concerns that I had along the way. This was a large project from my perspective and I was very happy with the final outcome and the people Roger has working for him on each of the phases. Some of the major work items: Changed the floor plan, plumbing for new bath and kitchen, upgrade of the electrical panel, full drywall and walls primed, electrical lights and sockets installed, heat and air installed.

1st let me start by saying "I hate writing reviews" especially when they are bad. Hence, the project that was supposed to be completed in two months has continued more than a year, and I'm just now voicing my compliant after trying to give every benefit of the doubt to this contractor. When Roger first showed up we kicked it off immediately. He's really a nice person we signed a contract on June 30th 2014 for the work beginning July 3, 2014 with an estimated completion date on or before Aug. 8th 2014. We had a number of delays to begin with and to be fair, not all the delays were Roger's fault. However, more than a year later and countless calls and broken promises of " I'll be there no later than Fri. to finish the work", I've given up on Roger. I know what it is like to own a business, I've owned mine for over 15yrs. I believe in paying people on time and don't expect anything for free. The work Roger completed is good. However, I've paid dearly for his mistakes and lack of timeliness. 1st - after framing the roof and running electrical the actual roof was not put on for 3 months. This left the wood framing and electrical exposed to rain and caused me to spend over $350 to replace an outdoor ceiling fan that was ruined due to rain. 2nd - The roof that was put on was the wrong roof and not the roof stated in the contract. I had to pay another roofing company $3,000 to take the wrong roof off and put the correct roof on. 3rd - the electrician that Roger subbed calls me and tells me he's going to put a lien on my house because Roger never paid him, that was another $1,500 out of my pocket. I've also had to pay a plumber $200 to fix a water line and $250 to correctly connect a gas line. 4th - after not hearing back from Roger for weeks I finally called and had the final inspection done myself before the permit expired. And I'm still waiting for Roger to install corbels as per our contract. And you may ask why not sue the guy. Well unfortunately Renovation Home Concepts - is technically administratively dissolved with no address. 2nd my contract is under Crown General Contracting which isn't registered under his name. Later I find out he was just an employee there. So, I will be following up with the Dept. of Revenue and IRS. Home Owners Beware and before hiring google Roger Wade Kennedy then make an informed decision. I thought Angie's List performed background checks. So much for "The Power of Reviews". Also check out his review on this site: [weblink removed].

We are really happy with the finished result of our kitchen. The work was well done and looks really nice. I'm happy that we made the change and had the work done. I've also never had a major renovation project done, my experience may have been par for the course than the exception. However, project did take longer than anticipated and didn't start when planned. We did end up making some changes in the plans due to some things what were left up in the air at the time of signing the contract, which did delay some things. My biggest frustration was when we were told that they needed some kind of supply or decision made right away and then we would drop everything we were doing at the time to do what was needed, only to have that thing or decision not end up being used or put into play several days later. The project also required a lot more hands on management to make sure that things were completed and people arrived at the house when they were supposed to. I really like the finished product, but the project did take a lot more of my personal time and energy than anticipated.

Renovation Home Concepts transformed my tired, old porch into a beautiful and welcoming entry to our home. Roger was very helpful with suggestions/choices of materials along the way. The project took a little longer than I would have liked, but that was because of all the rainy weather. Any time I called Roger with a question or concern, he was very prompt in getting back with me. We are extremely pleased with how everything turned out.

After a little delay in getting started everything went well. I purchased the tile and provided it for they. Only question I had was I was not informed up front that the travertine install would be an additional expense. But everything turned out well and we really like our new shower.
We are renovating a home to be sold. ?Contractor had provided earlier work on a shower renovation. ?When people tried to use the shower, they discovered that the water did not get hot. ?I contacted the contractor who responded that it should be a simple fix to a valve adjustment. ?The contractor was not able to get anyone out to the house for a week. ?The person he sent was not able to fix it. ?The contractor advised me that I would need to purchase a different valve as the original was defective. ?I contacted a plumber to come see the issue so I could get a second opinion. ?The plumber fixed the issue by adjusting the existing valve and stated it was not defective.

It was great! Roger arrived on time each time we met for measuring and estimates. He and his crew were always professional. And the job was done much quicker than I expected it to be done. I would recommend this group to anyone looking for value and service.

They left a big trench from the concrete truck in the yard, They left materials and didn't clean up. They said they would fix the yard but never did.
Response from Renovation Home Concepts LLC
"[Member Name], As I told your husband I would be more than happy to repair your yard from the concrete truck. I told your husband for us to wait until spring time for the weather to warm up to do so. The weather has been very cold and rainy making it very difficult to make the proper repairs. In regards to materials I am unaware of any materials that were left. I never had any intention of not coming to repair Please allow me that opportunity to do so. Thank you"
