I did a lot of research before deciding on a Radon company and I am so glad I found ResCom. Tom (the owner) is very nice and knowledgeable. This was a fantastic, easy experience. I would highly recommend Tom's company for this work. We were partially moved in when ResCom came to our aid. <p>I had ResCom out to run a more accurate radon test after having a high average level of 5 pCi/L using a card test. They were able to arrange the test quickly after I contacted them, and placed a continuous radon monitor in my basement, which ran for 3 days. The average reading from that test was 7 pCi/L, with peak levels of 12pCi/L. I had researched the cost of a mitigation system and was expecting it to be around $1000. The quote I received from ResCom was $725, so I decided to have them do the job.</p> <p>The day that the install was scheduled turned out to be stormy. I had stayed home from work for the install. Tom had contacted me about an hour before they were to show up and said that they were monitoring the weather, and would be out if the storms blew through. A few hours later, it had quit raining were Tom was at, and he said he would be coming my way since it looked like it would be out by the time they got here. I told him it was still raining pretty good at my house. Tom had said they would chance it since I had stayed home for them to come, they wanted to make sure I didn't have to stay home another day. It was still a bit stormy when they got here, but the rain had pretty much stopped. The guys got in and quickly completed my job. They cleaned everything up after they were done, and gave me a follow up card test to start a few days after the system had been running. I got the results back from that test, which were and lt;0.3 pCi/L. So, it looks like the system is working! <br /> <br /></p> <br />

It went real well. The instillation of the system was a challenge due my house being a cinder block structure built after WWII, and I was very impressed that he was able to do it. The tests one month later showed a significant reduction in radon. They were able to offer me a discount which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend them.

We were finishing part of our basement and wanted to have Radon testing done before we proceeded. I called several companies, they were the first one I was able to make contact with! Very nice, easy to schedule. Carrie called and we made an appointment that worked for all. Radon box was here for a few days, on pick up she gave us a preliminary report and then emailed us a detailed report later. Great job, thanks so much!! Because they moved quickly we were able to get out urgent basement renovation started!

First, these guys are as helpful and honest as anyone I've ever dealt with. They were VERY forthcoming with information, as detailed as I wanted, and they were very honest about what they could do, and what might not work without additional work and why. I'm so used to cost over-runs or poor performance by contractors that I was SHOCKED at how smoothly this went. They even discussed the situation very well with my renters, who were freaked out about the newly discovered radon problem, and Rescom spent extra time educating them on radon and helping them to feel less frightened about the situation. <br /> I would strongly suggest that you give these folks a call if you want to know whether you have a radon problem, or if you know you do, and want it fixed. Incidentally, I can tell you, I grew up in the house that turned out to have radon, and everyone who has lived in that house for extended periods of time have ended up with cancer. Is it the radon? maybe. I definitely feel better knowing that radon levels are down in the house, thanks to the great guys at ResCom. <br /> Incidentally, they were very quick to start and finish the job, and their price was very reasonable based on other calls I made. I'm certainly glad I decided to go with ResCom. <br />

Tom came the same day I called him and gave an estimate and scheduled installation. While he was working he was very conscientious of my home putting down plastic runners to protect floring and meticulously cleaned up any mess he created during installation. Then he clearly explained to me how the system operates and how to make sure it is working properly. I was very pleased with his service and professionalism as well as the quality of the product. <br />

I needed to have a radon mitigation system installed in my elderly mother's house. I did not have time to personally observe the process, so I contacted a few companies on Angie's list that had high ratings. Tom Manz reached out to me within a day of contact and gained my confidence due to his thorough explanation of the process and his punctuality. I entrusted Tom to my mother's house where he conducted a site survey and provided me a written e-mail estimate the same day. I authorized the work and scheduled the installation a few days later. Tom installed the system within the timeframe and cost he estimated. He tested the radon levels and provided me all documents by e-mail to support the effectiveness of the system. In turn I was able to provide these documents to the buyers finance company with ease. Tom even deferred final payment until the closing of the house which was unexpected for me. In summary, I entrusted Tom with the keys to my elderly mother's house and he did exactly what he said he would do. I have never met Tom in person, but appreciate that he installed this system and I was worry free during the entire process. Thanks Tom. <br />

They were on time. We were very pleased, and they came when they said they were coming. They got the work done on time, and we did not have any hidden charges. They were professional and were very clean and careful with other work being done in the home. They came back to check on it during a storm. I really appreciated that they were willing to work around other work being done and other schedules. They were always very punctual.

I searched Angie's List for recommended professional for radon testing. They had the lowest rate for performing the testing and were so professional we had them do the install. They were able to perform the install within a week. My house was left flawless. They were very clean and professional. We had a terrible snow storm early that week and they never left a mark on my carpet or walls/trim. I was very impressed by the level of cleanliness and professionalism they displayed. The was price was very reasonable for our style of house and the effort they had to undergo, especially in the weather conditions we had.

Received a complete written bid -- included options for both interior and exterior installations -- from Tom Manz, owner of ResCom. He arrived to do the work at agreed upon time. Estimated time to install was 3 1/2 to 4 hours; work was completed in less than 3 hours. Work was professionally performed and all drill dust, etc. was cleaned up. Tom showed me the entire system when he was finished and explained how it works. I was very pleased with the interior installation option he offered, rather than a system that exited through the exterior basement wall with an exhaust pipe running up the side of the house. The interior system is unobtrusive and not noticeable from the street. Tom also painted the PVC pipe above the roof to match the roof color -- it blends in nicely with the roof and other roof exhaust vents. Tom holds nationally recognized certifications from Missouri and the EPA to perform Radon testing and reduction. I would not hesitate to recommend ResCom for Radon reduction systems.
