Dan was great from start to finish. Being new home owners he walked us through the options available to us and found the best door for our needs and budget. Dan’s work was top of the line. He took great care when installing the door and everything turned out even better than expected. We look forward to having Dan help us again, when it’s time for our next home project!

Dan and team did more than any other builder/contractor we have worked with in the past. He actually took the time to detail each and every phase of the project by week and show us where the costs were. He was smart enough to know that my wife made the decisions for this and her expectations were not off the shelf. Price was dead on to what he said. For me, The most important thing was that he was on time and he was there when he said the move going to be. Every single time. There was never one time where I had to chase any of them around to find out what was going on. I received regular updates and project planning for what was going on and in the coming weeks.

Very well. Some jobs were straightfoward and were done efficiently and one was a faucet problem that had to be diagnosed. Dan got the parts and fixed it. Friendly, neat and competent. Busy guy but the wait is worth it. I would recommend him w/o hesitation.

Dan was very professional and managed expectations well. He has great people he works with for cabinets and granite. He has great incite on what needs to be done and moves projects along fixing obstacles as he goes.

Efficiently completed work on time and in budget

Dan was punctual and polite and delivered exactly what I asked for. He really listened to me and gave me two closets that I really love. One closet was my own design and he executed it exactly as I envisioned it. Dan reinforced our bathroom towel bar and hung the new medicine cabinet as well as mounted several more wall hooks than anticipated, plus hanging two wall mirrors. Before he left, he quickly fixed the hinges on two of my kitchen cabinets at no charge. One of my favorite projects is the new barn door on our laundry room. Dan made sure that he communicated with me regarding all possible configurations of the door before beginning the project. I will always call Dan for all my projects.

Dan was professional from the estimate to the work being done. What I did not care for is he'd start charging for things that he had no receipt for. When asked about what this charge is, what is this, he was vague and said oh, I need to get this, so it's 100. But never produced detailed, itemized on what he paid. After asking and asking, he got short with me and provided a bill but yet again, never itemized anything.

Regarding the first job to replace the shower door rollers, David called me the night before to confirm what was needed and said he would call me the next morning when he was on his way. He arrived on time and immediately got to work. Because of the design of the shower door assembly, Dave had to remove both doors and since I had already purchased replacement roller wheels, I decided to replace all the roller wheels on both doors. The doors now work perfectly. The second time I called was to fix the casement window in my living room. The lock handle broke off with the window in the locked position. I spoke to Daniel McElreavey to set up an appointment and was told he doesn't do work in Philadelphia, but he had a handyman he works with and would relay my problem to him. He said he was meeting up with the handyman in about 1/2 hour that same day and told me to email him pictures of the window and lock, which I did. I never heard back from either Daniel or the handyman and that is why I gave such a low rating.

Good communications, prompt replies. We had to wait until the glass was delivered by supplier but once that was it was installed.

Dave called the night before to ask what repair was needed. He also said he would call the next morning when he was on his way. He arrived 5 minutes after calling the next morning. Because the doors were difficult to remove from the frame, Dave had to remove the entire frame and doors. He replaced all the roller wheels. The entire job took about 1/2 hour. The doors work perfectly now and I couldn't be more pleased. I would definitely call DW Windows & Doors for not only my handyman repairs but whenever I need a door or window replacement.

We just bought a home and the washer/dryer were set-up in the mud-room (1st floor). While convenient for some, we need that mudroom for the kids jackets, shoes, the dog bowls, etc. We set out to find a contractor who would provide us a quote to install the washer/dryer (new plumbing, new drainage, new electrical, new vent) in the basement). Our first quote sounded all over the place, the guy was a "used car salesmen" and rather than listen to our questions and answer them thoughtfully, he simply just said "yep, yep." His quote was high, and the fact that we didn't have a gut feeling that we could trust him, he wasn't the guy for the job. Upon making several phone calls we found Dan, who was eager to answer all of our questions with thoughtful responses. His quote was in-line with our expectations and reasonable. Furthermore he is knowledgeable and we could trust him. The job was completed and we are more than satisfied. Dan is coming back to start on two shower remodels in the coming weeks. He is more than a 'handyman,' and might as well be titled a GC. We will recommend to any/all friends and family - although after our projects are done so his schedule doesn't block us out.

Dan did a very good job, his price was fair,  and I would have liked to use him again. His work is high quality, and he is a trustworthy and likable person. My only complaint is he has put me off for follow up jobs several times. I really wanted to use him again but can't count on him to get back to me. <br />

The first two times that I used them I was happy and the third time I used them I was not that happy with the person that they sent. I think that they are a good company, I just have to get the right guy out here.
