Residential solutions has been locally owned and operated since 2006. We specialize in interior and exterior painting. We also handle deck and fence staining which includes detail power washing prior to the stain application. We handle all types of wood rot / wood repairs; including basic trim boards, siding replacement, and windowsill replacement. Owned by Craig Anderson and Coby Feris, residential solutions offers great services at an affordable price. We use only the very best products available on the market. Our paint products offered through Sherwin-Williams either have a 25 year warranty SuperPaint, or a lifetime guaranteed duration paint. The paint choices are completely up to customer discretion. Whether Residential Solutions is painting your home, repairing all types of wood rot, or staining your deck and fence put your trust in us. With a combined 16 years experience we are more than capable of handling all of your homes needs. We offer a five year warranty on all of our painting, and a two year warranty on all staining projects. Throughout the last seven years we pride ourselves in our efforts to please customers. Like all homeowners finding a competent contractor is difficult. I recently had my home exterior painted and requested a bid from my prior painter and a new company that I found advertised in the Johnson County Home Magazine. Craig Anderson, Residential Solutions, (who I had not met previously) met me at my home and did a very thorough review of my project. He identified damage areas in the siding and trim boards that needed to be addressed. His bid provided details on each of the proposed repairs and on the paint project. He answered all my questions about the type of paint and the repairs. Craig was on the job site a portion of each of the work days. The entire project (minus the earlier siding power spray) was completed in 3 days. His crew also had to work around the gutter project that was being installed at the same time. The crew was hard working and respectful of my property.

Would not recommend. The paint doesn't match the back of the house, they had said they could get a new can of paint for the trim and didn't. They instead used a can of old paint. Also, right after they began work I received a call stating they didn't see an area of wood rot at the time of the estimate and that was going to cost an additional $1,000. Upon completion, was dissatisfied with an area that was sloppily painted and the contractor got defensive and said the house had had been painted 25 times in 30 years which is clearly not the case. In addition, they didn't clean up after the job and left painters tape on a shutter. How hard is it to make a customer pleased after dropping several thousand dollars?

They were great! We’ve have an older home with exterior shingles that have been painted many times. A few years ago, we had Residential Solutions do a full exterior paint that included some exterior sill and shingle replacement. They did a terrific job and the paint has generally held up well. We recently had a new roof put on and noticed we needed some paint repair near the roof. We called Residential Solutions again and they not only touched up the trim but also touched up paint on the shingles to keep the paint in good repair, replaced some shingles and fascia that woodpeckers had ruined, and we had them do interior trim repair and paint an interior stairwell. Just like the first time, the work was well done, and the crew prompt and tidy. They noticed and repaired things we hadn’t even caught. The interior trim repair was done so well you’d never know it was not original to the house. We highly recommend Craig and his crew.

I requested estimates from the three highest rated, local paint firms on Angie's List and Craig with Residential Solutions came through with the lowest estimate on my 2,500 sq ft, two story home, which had not been painted in many years and needed a lot of TLC. I liked the reasonable price, professional service, short project time, first-class paint job and very good cleanup. Craig made sure I was very happy, including good communications, a cheerful attitude and a final walk-thru to address any minor issues.

Very particular and great quality of work on staining my deck. Came highly recommended by a friend who extremely particular and does most of his own work, so I knew they would be great, and they proved it. I chose residential solutions because Craig Anderson explained the need to replace a wall and repair wood rot on the windows to do the job properly. They did all that and more. A shedder had to be rebuilt because I was not going to buy a plastic one! The crew of 8 took pride in prepping and painting and they enjoyed teamwork. Glad I chose the right company. They were done in 2 days!

Coby called me for a bid on Angie to perform a maintenance stain on my deck. He had experience with the TWP stain I preferred, and was confident in his painters expertise. His price was very reasonable as well. They were able to come out and power wash it, purchase the stain and complete the job within 2 weeks. He also added a side walk concrete power washing essentially free of charge. There was also a spot where BBQ sauce had been spilled that Ricardo was able to remove using lacquer thinner, which worked great! I couldn’t find this recommendation on google anywhere, which shows their high level of experience. Their overall attention to a job well done as well as my 100 satisfaction was very clear. They were easy to communicate with and Coby was very responsive. I highly recommend this company, and will seek them out for any other services they provide in the future!
