Out of our 2 locations, Waterford & Wyandotte, Restoration & Environmental Safety Technologies (AKA: REST) is an environmental testing and remediation company that specializes in testing health dangers and remediating property damage. Investigations are conducted by Masters Degreed qualified individuals that have extensive background and education related to Industrial and Environmental Health. REST only uses fully calibrated testing equipment and follows standard testing guidelines. REST's network of environmental testing laboratories give nonbiased test results. Clients can be assured that samples that were taken were handled with most care to assure the most accurate testing results. Often, people use REST to test for lead, asbestos, mold, smoke, and effectiveness of sewage clean ups. REST also remediates lead, asbestos, mold, flood clean up, and insulation removal. REST also intervenes into disagreements between property owners and contractors, building departments, tenants and insurance carriers and such disagreements can often times be solved through scientific analysis. When it comes to air quality, "Don't trust what you can't see!" and "Your better off safe, than sick!"

This company was literally the worst contractor I've ever hired. The crew started smashing the tile with a hammer and a shovel, ignoring all of the regulations regarding asbestos removal. They broke state and federal law and a complaint was filed with the State of Michigan. I've seen shoddy work before but never to the extent where my health was compromised. The owner, Greg, admitted rules were broken and in my opinion this company should be put out of business.

To sum it up...I'm healthy again, thanks to REST Environmental. They found the problem in our house (and fixed it)! I had been sick for months with sinus infections and upper respiratory tract infections. Even after four rounds of antibiotics and 3 rounds of steroids, I just could not get well. REST Environmental conducted mold testing, and found the source of the problem. There was a significant amount of mold behind the basement walls. So, we needed to get that stuff out of there! We followed Greg's recommendations for air purification and mold removal. His team's work was efficient and thorough....and during the process, Greg was always available to answer questions (of which I had many). Greg and Carrie were excellent to work with -- they are caring, knowledgeable professionals. I would highly recommend them for anyone needing mold removal.

I called on Wed.  Greg came out on Thursday.  They came out and did the work Friday.  The process was painless and they were responsive. They came when they said they would no hassles or run around. They were quick, literally came out and did the work the next day. Professional, courteous and reasonably priced.  The attic looks great.  I would recommend them in a heartbeat,

I had asked him to call me back and I had questions but he wouldn't speak to me. I own the house, and I had asked him to come out, but I had to go to work and my husband was here. He would only speak to my husband, but my husband could not speak about my questions and he refused to speak to me. It was a really bad experience. When he saw some negative stuff on the report he said that was going to ruin his business, but maybe he should have some sense to call me back and answer my questions. He was really strange. It cost us $900 for him to come out, and he tore into the walls, and did his treatments which was very impressive, but he wouldn't tell me what he found or whatever. We then had to pay somebody else to come out and restore what he didn't finish. He was an insurance agent, and said the finishing was not necessary and he said that we were really taken to the cleaners.

REST is the company you will want to choose for your mold remediation needs.  The entire staff is college educated and professional.  Unlike some of their competition, REST uses products which actually remove mold (ex. peroxide) rather than simply inhibiting it through the use of quaternary disinfectants. They have professional-grade equipment and will work with you to ensure that every last spore of harmful mold is eliminated from your home before completing their job.  The responsiveness from this company is also fantastic.  You will be provided with means of contacting the company via email or phone at any time before, during or after the job.  The staff is friendly and obviously passionate about the work they do.  I couldn't recommend this company enough!

Greg was amazing...  After a contractor dusted up my house during a kitchen demolition...Greg came and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision.  He did testing on the spot to ensure my home was safe to live in and gave me direction on how to handle the clean-up (and how to handle future projects).  He even gave me the name of a general contractor...who came over Memorial Day weekend (and on Memorial day) to finish the job and keep my project on track.

Greg was extremely thorough in identifying risk  areas and was very knowledgeable.  In discussing number of tests performed, did not oversell number of tests that I thought were needed, and performed them quickly and easily.  Was open with future needs and costs which will be considered after test results are in.

Greg and his team were fantastic to work with! Greg came out the day after I called, explained everything that needed to be done, and offered cost savings ways to remediate asbestos from my house. Greg and his crew worked over the weekend to accommodate my schedule. I would highly recommend REST Environmental!
