Rhino-Shield Exterior Ceramic Coating is a durable, flexible maintenance free wall coating. It is 100% acrylic waterborne, high build formula that waterproofs, insulates and soundproofs. Innovative technology combines elastomeric acrylic resins with urethane resins resulting in a flexible but tough surface. This thick rubber-like membrane actually becomes part of the substrate due to excellent adhesion and bonding. We recently had the front of my house done by Georgia Coating a Rhino-Shield company. I was very concerned before going with them. As a curious consumer, I did my research online. Went to different sites and reviewed the good and the bad. When Mr Eckland came over to do his pitch, I pretty much have all the answers. This gentlemen did not push the sale but asked my wife and I to think about it. I must say that the price is about twice as the price of what we paid in the prior years. But it might be worth it considering the 25 years warranty. The crew is always on time. They did their work and cleaned up after them. I highly recommend their work. I am very grateful for Mr Eckland for having a great crew to do work and applying Rhino-Shield. I highly recommend their work.

A few years later (3-4) all the belly boards and trim (on 2 levels) around the circumference of my house, as well as several window's trim were now rotting and needed to be replaced. Because I wanted to maintain my Rhino Shield guarantee, I paid them for labor and supplies (not paint...that was covered) to make all the repairs. Now, 2017, the very window that Rhino Shield replaced and painted/coated have rotted again. When I had the company out to inspect they offered to allow me to pay for supplies and labor again (paint would be no charge) but after I also paid to have the surfaces power washed (I personally don't believe power washing helps rotting wood). I declined to have them re-repair the very same window frames they replaced only a few years earlier. After further inspection, many of the windows coated with Rhino Shield have also rotted. I have had 2 window contractors "tell me" (I wouldn't ask them to swear because it's only their professional experience and opinion) that the Rhino Shield coating allowed water under the coating where it was trapped and rotted the window. The coating has held up on the hardy plank (which is no surprise) but on wood trim, window trim and window frames, it has possibly accelerated damage. For the money that I've spent for Rhino Shield I could have had my house completely painted and maintained (replacing trim, etc.) 3 times (I've got the quotes and 296 almost identical homes in my neighborhood to make a compelling case). I am now required to replace all the windows in my home, all the window trim inside and out, and repaint in less than 6 years after I thought I was buying a 25 year solution.

"The warranty states: Neither the Manufacturer nor Georgia Coatings, Incorporated. warrants against damage resulting from structural settling, structural movement, structural defects, acts of providence, efflorescence, external physical causes of any kind, alterations to the coated surfaces, lack of proper drainage (standing water), preexisting conditions, substrate failure, buyer's negligence, leaks occurring around window frames, door openings, or leaks in or through roofs, and any such damage shall be repaired at Buyer's expense. Rhino Shield Ceramic Coating is not warranted on mechanical or moving parts. Some windows just stink and I am sorry about your windows. We hope we will help them last longer, but in the end sometimes they just need to be replaced. We have never warranted window sashes. I am sorry you were misinformed about the window being under the warranty, for the 15 years that I have worked with the company, they have never been included into the warranty."

Very well! Abed was the main contractor doing the work. He has worked for RhinoShield for 15 years. Would have liked a call from the salesman to see how we liked the work. A presentation book showing all the steps would be have been helpful.

They were wonderful. They don't use paint, they have a ceramic coating that comes with a 20-year guarantee that it won't chip, peel or split.

I was very impressed with the whole process. Communication was great from Roxanne and Michelle. And I can't say enough about Abed, the crew lead. He was extremely professional and made sure he was not disrupting my life any more than was necessary. At the end of the day, everything was cleaned up and left neat. My house looks beautiful! <p>The company, product, and crew were all excellent. The house was wrapped, taped, etc., to protect areas that were not being "painted" at the moment. Then, when the base coat and final color coat was completed on the base of the house, additional areas were wrapped, taped, etc., to protect for the next step (trim). Sections of fencing that were close to the house were also protected in case of overspray--as was our stone patio, all of our new windows, and Champion back porch. Carlos and crew kept us informed during the entire process. They cleaned up after themselves as they went along--there was never a "work in progress" mess so often times experienced. The finished product is absolutely perfect. The house looks like a model home with every detailed attended to. We had done our research and read lots of reviews about Rhino Shield--all were dead-on with recommending it highly and how dramatic a difference it would make. The fact that we don't have to "touch" it for more than 20 years pays for itself 10-fold. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>The only area of correction I would recommend is that all of the product needs to be available when the job begins. Our crew had trim paint when they arrived but the base color had not yet been delivered to the local warehouse. We had two perfect days when the job was started--however, we lost 2 days due to weather (wind and rain), which delayed the completion. We were not upset that it was delayed; we questioned logistics as the crew was here and could have completed the job--had they had all of their materials. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Have we recommended Rhino Shield to friends and neighbors--absolutely. Anyone who choses Rhino Shield as an upgrade to regular paint will never be disappointed. This is a professional company and product. If you need to paint, talk to Jeff or Roxanne first. This was one of the best decisions we have made regarding house maintenance. </p> <br />

<p> We recently moved into a 30 year old brick house with wood windows and wood soffits/fascia. The wood and the brick were completely painted by Rhino Shield 13 years ago. The RhinoShield has fully protected all of the wood beautifully with the exception of where the gutters were completely clogged up for years and they overflowed and damages some of the soffits and fascia. The coating is extremely tenacious and sticks so well that it appears to become part of the material. The areas that were extremely soaked with water from the gutters had areas of the material that separated from the wood and was coming off in large sheets resembling rubber sheeting.</p> <p> Roxanne at RhinoShield got me in contact quickly with their estimator, Shaun, who came out, looked everything over and gave me a fair written quote. Some additional work was discovered once the gutters were removed and this was priced and added to the contract. They gave me options, including replacing with PVC materials, and priced the extra work fairly..</p> <p> Even though the work was priced as one job, RhinoShield worked with me to do the work at the same price in two phases as we were concurrently cleaning a really nasty metal roof and they left the unfinished roof area's gutters in place to catch the bleach and slime so it would stay away from the house. </p> <p> John and Rodney did the work quickly and professionally. They protected our plants and our animals and did some adjusting to the work at no charge as the job progressed. </p> <p>. The stuff really works. The fact that you get a 25 year transferrable warranty is nice, but who wants to deal with claims on a warranty. I can tell you what I found on the 13 year old job. This material has kept the windows and door frames looking like new. Those areas at the bottom of the garage door and walk door frames don't have a speck of deterioration. If you have wood on the outside of your house, you will be very happy with this product.</p> <br />

Only a few touchups were needed and the shutter needed to be corrected, but overall a great job. I wanted to wait to write the review because I wanted to see how the Rhinoshield held up and it has been great. 25 year warrenty and all. Highly recommend this product and this company. <br />

Harold and his team did an excellent job. It literally took them only 2 1/2 days to pressure wash our two story house (part of first floor is brick and does not need painting), make some necessary repairs and put two coats of paint on. They also cleaned up afterwards, our 50 year old house looks like new. With the 25 year warranty I hope it will stay like this for a long time. Thanks guys! <br />

It is more than a painting company. They put this thing on and it lasts for more than 25 years. They did a fantastic job. It is not just painting. They do a lot of preparations. They check for wood rot and for any damage, replace it and then they put on something like a skin and after that dries then they put on the outside layer. Once that hardens it is fantastic. But considering that one has to have the house painted every five, six years because of the sun shining down on you all the time $14000 is nothing for the looks. I also have two large decks, one in the front and one at the back and all the railing around it and every one of those pieces of wood were done. The price would vary with the size of the house and how much you are covering. So $14000 was really a good deal. They give you the names, the addresses, and telephone numbers of people for whom they have done work for and I did call them. They have nothing to hide. I have had a very good experience with them.

He was awesome and the house looks great. We had lead paint on the exterior so they had to deal with that accordingly. They provided us a 25 year guarantee on their work. These people were incredible. I will use them again in the future.
