"How did it go"... Started great. Good response, reviewed project, provided a good quote, told us the work would get done. The owner was positive, confident, and really knew his trade. Promised everything. Should be a 6 week reno... Started well, crew came, did demo. Then less and less workers came by, on less and less days, to accomplish less and less. After 3+ months, contractor not being around for days and every room left incomplete, we complained. The response, when we were able to get in contact with him (everything goes to voicemail), was they would send over someone to review the job. Not the owner this time, instead they sent a representative who had only been with the company a few months. he went over the various issues with the project and said he would get back to us with a decision. Decision: real short and sweet, $9000 to continue and $6000 at the end. We countered with: we will purchase any product, parts or equipment, but were not giving over more cash until certain milestones had been met. (certain things finished, etc.) They said no. We had to go to other contractors who finished the job. A very experienced carpenter pointed out how the few installed cabinets were installed incorrectly. A 40+ year veteran plumber reviewed the work: by his inspection, no permits had been pulled, the work was incomplete in various placed under the house and under the cabinets, and the tiling was horrible. We needed to rip down the new tiles RGSPros installed and replace with new product. The electrician was not impressed by all the hanging, unprotected wiring left by RGSPros. Overall, they started with a reasonably trained crew, who went away after a brief time onside and were replaced with warm bodies who had never done the work before, and it shows (pooling water in the new shower where the floor was incorrectly installed, etc.) The tiles in the master bath... (my carpenter's comment was, "don't they have a level?", you could look at it and see it not straight, with large gaps and tight squeezes between tiles.) Often, we felt lucky if someone showed up at all. When we asked, they were working on jobs that had been delayed due to Covid issues. We would be promised the workers would be there tomorrow or this weekend, but usually, no one came. The finale was the crew leader learning to sand our hardwood floors (He had never done it before). And why did they not stain all the rooms before sanding? And why did they install the baseboards before they had stained and finished the floors? The newly pained boards are all dinged up now. And the floor still isn't complete. Bottom line, they took the money and made a half-assed effort to perform the services. A few days after we did not accept their $9000 extortion offer, we got a call that they are putting a lean on the house; we contacted our lawyer. This company is just big enough to screw up big jobs. Do not hire them.
