Rick's Custom Fencing and Decking - Tri-Cities

I had a fantastic experience with the team from Rick's Custom Fencing & Decking, specifically the dynamic duo of Felix and Felix Jr. They installed a vinyl privacy fence in my backyard which was a bit tricky (on top of a retaining wall and had three gates). Felix and Felix Jr were extremely professional and courteous. They didn't leave a mess as they were working, and were 100% respectful of me and my property at all times. They had several minor questions throughout the build and paused their work to get my feedback; they clearly communicated what my options were at several key points, listened to my opinions and needs, and then continued with the build. As a woman homeowner, it means a lot to me that they listened and respected my feedback and input. I couldn't recommend this team enough - I would absolutely have them out again to do more work at my house if I needed it. If you're having a fence installed with Rick's, ask for Felix and Felix Jr - you will not be disappointed!!

Jorge and Marvin did a great job replacing my front yard cedar fences including adjusting the gates. They were also patients while I dealt with a less than happy neighbor. The estimating process was professional and accurate and I had no surprise costs at the end. I'm very happy with the work done.

The crew of Jorge, Marvin, Andres, and Sergio did a great job on our partial fence install and repair. They all seemed to have a great attitude while they worked and were very respectful and kind. They worked hard and finished the job well before I expected and it looks great.

This company and its people are fantastic! The team of Bill, Jorge, and Marvin that worked on my job were great. They built a fence for me last fall and did everything just the way I wanted. It really exceeded my expectations. I had them come back recently to adjust the latch on my gate and it was done very quickly. Their customer service is top notch too and always a pleasure to speak with. They even put in a special flip up door for my robot lawn mower. Very Happy Customer!

Quality Workmanship, but Mixed Overall Experience I hired Rick's Custom Fencing and Decking to replace my decks in 2023 during a difficult time when both my parents were ill. My experience was a mix of positives and frustrations. The Good: Woody and Trevor deserve 5 stars for their exceptional workmanship. They were professional, reliable, and did exactly what they promised, when they promised. The quality of the finished decks is outstanding, and I'm thrilled with their work. Dan was personable and friendly during the quote process, which was appreciated after dealing with other companies that scheduled appointments but never showed up. The Concerns: The scheduling process took an extremely long time—so long that the reasonable interest rate I was initially quoted increased substantially by the time the work was completed. This was particularly stressful given my family situation at the time. Additionally, I requested a no-barrier entry with slight sloping and was told it could only be done with a ramp. After Woody and Trevor removed the old front deck, it became clear that reframing could have accommodated my original request. While I'm happy with the final result, I didn't get what I initially wanted. Bottom Line: The craftsmanship is excellent, but expect potential delays and be very specific about design options during the planning phase.

I had custom gates installed about two years ago. The lead on the project, Jorge, was excellent to work with. He was fast, knowledgeable, and very professional. The product is of the best quality and shows no signs of wear over time. I would highly recomend Ricks Custom Fencing as a supplier and would suggest you ask that Jorge be the lead installer on your project. Excellent company with excellent employees!!!

I can't say enough good things about the entire experience. Michael on the front end was super helpful and responsive and gave us some good ideas for a deck. Rocky and his team did an amazing job building out the deck. They sent us daily updates with pictures which helped keep our mind at ease as we invested in this big update to our house. Would totally use this group again.
