Remolded my entire first floor had laminate flooring, kitchen and bathroom, renovation, cabinets, backsplash, etc. Alex, Davies, Rich and Juan were very professional, knew what they were doing, and we’re very respectable and kind. Did excellent work cleaned up after wards & we were very satisfied. The owner of RIJ’s was here all the time mostly overseeing his workers and picking up the correct materials (kitchen cabinets, bathroom, stone, and accessories, etc. ) needed to make it all come together. Paul, who was RIJI’s Plumber Did an outstanding job.

A bad flood gave us a silver lining that was Riji Home Improvements. Months ago we had Pedro and Luis help us with our dream kitchen. Such a wonderful experience with them, truly. This time around they came in quickly for the rescue when we had to gut our kitchen (and the rest of the floor) due to a flood. And again, very nice to work with them, so easy during a difficult time. Having new ceilings and walls allowed Pedro to come up with a new design which we love. He and his crew were smart, efficient, and helpful. Luis is always great to work with, and presto: NEW FABULOUS KITCHEN. We can highly recommend Riji Home Improvements!

I loved working with Riji Home Improvements. It was my first time doing any sort of renovations, so I was a tad nervous but working with Riji Home Improvements was an amazing experience. We met several contractors before getting our kitchen remodeled. We ended up going with Riji Home Improvements because we really wanted someone to walk us through our design choices and options. Riji Home Improvements designed and built our IKEA kitchen and the experience was perfect from start to finish. Pedro and Luis were efficient, responsive, and suggested great ideas we would never have thought of ourselves. Their flexibility and speed made the process as painless as possible. We hired Riji Home Improvements to do a gut renovation of our kitchen. As this was our first renovation we were a bit nervous, but the guys (Pedro & Luis) were a pleasure to work with. They answered all of our questions along the way and provided the necessary guidance along the way. The project finished within the timeline we were initially provided and there were no "hidden" or "surprise" costs that came up along the way. If were to ever need another kitchen redone we would definitely use them again.

We worked with RIJI Home improvements on a nursery and bathroom addition in our home. Having had previous less than pleasant experiences with other contractors in the Area, we were nervous diving into this project a few months before the arrival of our baby - but Mat and David were phenomenal to work with. They worked with us through several changes to our plans, were flexible as our needs changed and were always transparent about pricing and timelines. They also work really well with the city which can often be quite challenging, and the quality of their work is top notch. We hope to work with them for our remodeling needs in the future.

I had a full bathroom remodel done by these professionals. Led by Luis, the project manager, these guys made an amazing remodel, and I love the beautiful end result. I recommend anyone to take these guys to remodel at their place.

The transformation of our condo's kitchen and two bathrooms has been such a dramatic improvement thanks to all the hard work the folks from Riji Home Improvements put in last year. It has been about 9 or 10 months now since the work was completed, and we still remark on a regular basis how much better and nicer our kitchen is to use now that it is no longer separated from the dining area by an old wall, not to mention now that we have nice new floors / cabinets / everything else. The bathrooms have been such a huge upgrade as well from the old fiberglass all-in-one stall and beat up fixtures that were there previously. We live in a small space, but we were even able to fit a soaking tub in our relatively tight master bathroom. I can fully recommend these guys to handle your project-- they are responsive and made sure all the work got done the right way.

Jacob and his team were amazing! From the start of the consultation it was easy and seamless. We received a detail quote going over all of the details of the scope of work. The crew stuck to the fast timeline and completed the work better than what we had imagined. The team communicated daily and gave us updates as we went along. Joe is building our forever dream home, so already, you must understand that we trust and respect this man more than the average person. If you are on the fence about working with this company, I’d give you my phone number because, quite honestly, we can go on and on about how happy we are that we chose RIJI Home improvements over the 5 other construction companies that we interviewed in 2023. This is the largest project that me or my husband have ever been a part of. We bought a ranch style home in May 2023. We worked with an architect and did our research on every aspect of building a home. Joe was the perfect compliment to our style and work ethic. Joe’s strengths include his professionalism, his honestly, his communication skills, his willingness to explain things that we are not familiar with, his ability to provide solution based support when things are out of our control and don’t go as planned, and his time management. There were a lot of variables and uncertainties involved with building a house in the middle of a pandemic, but we are happy that we have Joe as a GC—- he’s able to pivot and stick to the timeline as best as possible. I’m never moving, but if we had to build another house, we would call Joe! We are just about mid-way with the project and I look forward to reporting back with updated photos and reviews about our overall experience!

I hired RIJI Home improvements to handle the renovation of our apartment bathroom. Co-op buildings present more hurdles but Joe renovation handled the paperwork gauntlet smoothly. More specifically, I was pleased with the quality of the work, the fact that it was completed close to the stated time, 5 weeks, the communication--Max was always forthright on the project, what they were doing, when I had questions he got back to me quickly, Shevy was also helpful on the financial end, and David was also professional and communicative. It was on the expensive side, I thought, but we are pleased with how it turned out.

My Boyfriend recently purchased a fixer-upper in the Park Slope area and hired RIJI Home improvements to renovate the entire apartment. All I can see is that we are MORE THAN PLEASED with how it came out. So much so we hired our friend who is a professional photographer to take amazing pics for us to share. Mike and his crew were a pleasure to work with. David and Max were always available to answer our constant questions and provide us with updates. We can be annoying too. All the workers were very friendly and impressed us with their fine attention to detail. We changed everything from the floors, moldings, kitchen, both bathrooms, doors and they painted the entire unit. I'm THRILLED we hired RIJI Home improvements! Riji Home Improvements did an awesome job renovating my kitchen. It was a complete demolition with a new magical kitchen emerging in its place. From the kitchen design, to choosing appliances, to navigating my coop's requirements, to the plumbing, electrical, and tile work, installing the countertop, cabinets and appliances, Riji Home Improvements was there every step of the way. I love, love, love my new kitchen. I have so much more space and it's very user friendly for kitchen prep and cooking. You'll see the before, during and after.

My husband and I are first time home buyers and were looking to make some changes to our living room and kitchen area. We needed very professional and knowledgeable person to help us with the whole process of remodeling and what it actually entails. Our initial contact was with Jessica, the office manager who did wonderful job at communicating. She put us in contact with Joe, who was able to give his full assessment. RIJI Home improvements is a great company. The team is skilled and the owner Joe is honest, easy to communicate with, and has great attention to details. I recommend this licensed GC to everyone. -- Much longer version: For the last year, on and off, I have been trying to find a contractor to create a dedicated office space for me. My project isn't a big one, and because of that I experienced a lot of ghosting along with a lot of price gouging. By luck I found RIJI Home improvements and Joe (the owner) through Yelp. Now than I have finish my project, let me tell you, I hit the GC jackpot! Joe and his team at RIJI Home improvements are awesome!! Joe didn't treat my small project as second class citizen even though it was small. My office is absolutely perfect and whatever expectations I had for contractors, they blew them out of the sky. From the beginning, Joe had been very clear and timely with his communications. When he says he would do something he either do it or if not, let me know in advance if will take longer. I have gotten six quotes and out of all of them Joe's quote was the most clear and honest. He lists out exactly what will be included and what will be out of my pocket (eg the door, the paint, etc). The final cost was exactly as he had quoted and the any additions was because I asked for extra work. Martin, who did most of the work was equally great. He speaks good English so it was easy to communicate with him. He was careful with my house and things in my home. Most importantly, his workmanship was good! My project involved framing, dry walking, moving and adding lights, moving outlets, painting, and door staining and installation. All of these were done very well, but I must call out his drywalling skill in particular - He was able to hide the end of a pipe that had been an eye sore since I bought my home to the point where we can't see it when the lights are on! But credit where it's due, the reason why my office looks as perfect and polished as it is right now is largely because of Joe's attention to details and his drive for perfection. I initially asked for only 3 lights in my office, I think most contractors would have just went with it because the work was done but Joe pointed out it was too dark and for a fair price his team helped me fix the problem. On top of all this, when we do final walk through, Joe found more issues than me, and he worked with his team to fix everything until the whole project looks perfect. If I ever have to do a major reno on my home I would trust Riji Home. I recommend them to all my friends and I recommend them to you too!!

Had the pleasure of working with Jimmy (project manager) and Joe (owner) for this project, both of whom I highly recommend working with. My project with them was a 800sqft garage conversion ADU, which turned out beautifully as shown in the pictures below. Jimmy was a very pleasant and responsible PM, very easy to talk to and always on top of scheduling. He would frequently stop by the site to make sure work was going as expected, and would brief me on things such as what work needed to be done next and what needed to be bought. For owners that are doing this for the first time, he is the kind of PM you'd want. I also have the utmost respect for Joe, who was the reason I decided to go with RIJI in the first place. He was easygoing, an efficient PM that kept work on track, and overall an extremely dependable individual you'd want to entrust your project to. Working with Jimmy and Joe felt like working with friends and that's exactly what you want with a construction project spanning months. A heartfelt thank you to both of them and all the workers at RIJI Home improvements for a job well done on my ADU.

I recently had kitchen floor reinstallation from RIJI Home improvements (RHI), and it was a very good experience. Before reaching out to RHI, I had contacted 4 other contractors and found difficultly to get good response (some of them stopped communicating suddenly), but when I met IB (our project manager) for estimation, I felt I could finally find a right contractor, and that my first impression was right! - Fast and clear estimation - Clear explanation on what to be done, when - On schedule - Professional workers, teamwork - Meticulous work - Make sure whether the client is satisfied with the work - Cleaning after the project IB came to the site every day to check everything was on the right track. If I had any concern, he addressed it and made it clear or gave necessary instructions to his workers. He estimated the duration of work to be 5-7 days, and the project was completed with 5.5 actual working days. (including holiday, it was completed in 7 days in total) Finding a trustworthy contractor is the most important thing and also challenging, but I was very happy to work with them.
