Rio Grande Septic Systems

Excellent. Our toilets, shower, tubs began to back up on a Friday evening. We called Rio Grande Septic and Shawn came out as soon as he could and was very kind and helpful and took care of the problem right away. We felt the charge for this emergency service was very reasonable considering it was after hours and dark at the time.

I called on a Saturday morning because my septic was backing up and Chris called right back. I described the problem and he thought it might be the filters. He said they were easy to change and he could walk me through it and I could do it myself to save us the money of a service call. I said I preferred he do it and he told me he could come in the afternoon and the cost would be $150 because it was Saturday. He came out, changed the filters, showed us how to do it and did a great job. I would highly recommend.

Driver by the name of Glenn showed up on time and was very professional and polite and a pleasure to speak with....Was very efficient and new what he was doing along with answering any questions and giving suggestions....We would highly recommend Rio Grande Septic Systems for taking care of our septic tank in the future....They also were generous enough to give us our Senior discount which put them on the top of our list compared to other companies cost....They are a five star company plus not to mention that the receptionist was very pleasant on the phone setting up the appointment....

Fine. Price changes based on what they find in the field. Make them measure to be sure their big equipment can fit where they need it before they begin. Will save you time and money.

Terrific. I called one afternoon, Tim showed up the next morning and The job was done well and fast. Both Laurie on the phone and Tim in person were professional and friendly. They are our go-to septic people now. By the way, I didn't rate the price because I have no idea if $200 is a good price or not. I suspect it is competitive.

The service man did an excellent job. However the price quoted was not the price charged. After they came to my home, they increased the price for having to dig to find the opening to the tank despite having shown where the opening was located.

Could not have hoped for a better installation. I was incredibly impressed by the owner and operator Shawn Benivedez, who was involved in every aspect of the project. He was professional, affable, and considerate. He made the project as pleasant as a septic project could possibly be from start to finish. I recommend him and his company highly without reservation.

<p>After he'd pumped it out he was concerned that there was only one side to pump.  He cleaned out some of the tree roots but it turns out there were still more to clear (not sure if this is part of their job or not.)  He said we should contact the company that put in the risers and had been pumping out my septic. This employee was new to the job (3 months on the job) and tried to call his boss for advice but the boss was unavailable.</p> <p>This employee raised concerns of my possibly needing a new septic tank should the current one cave in due to age.  In hindsight, this comment seems pretty extreme considering this employee was not familiar with this older tank model and didn't find all the roots that were causing my tank to block and quit working.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I called the other septic company and told them what this other septic company person that I had just used had said.  The next day, the other company's owner and a worker came out, inspected my septic tank, used a large hook and pulled out two  6 - 8' lengths of matted roots.  It was clarified to me that I have an older tank.  In addti that it appears to have a short baffle wall so that everything can be pumped out from one opening.  This other company didn't charge me for the visit.  </p> <br />

Called for estimate and Shawn Benavidez arrived as scheduled, discussed options and provided estimate. Office staff followed up with more information about what was needed to apply for permit. Offered to assist with any questions which they did. <br /> Very responsive to requests for assistance and scheduling under the circumstances. <br /> Crew arrived on schedule, worked very hard and cleaned up. <br /> Very pleased with job done. <br />

Rio Grande was very understanding and responsive, offering to come take a look at what I was describing to assess what was causing the moisture I was seeing near the tank...was it a leak in the pipes or a problem with the tank or...? Shawn was able to come out within the hour, he decided he needed to pull the lid on the tank and determined the drain field had failed. They were able to pump the tank that same day (tank installed in 2007 and last pumped just 18 months earlier just before we moved in). Rio Grande was able to get us on the schedule within a few weeks. The crew was efficient and completed job in 2 days. They were as respectful as possible with our property. The price was good and Shawn was very informative and helped educate us on the system we have. Only one suggestion I'd make to Rio Grande Septic is if there is excess drain rock at job end, ask the customer if they'd prefer it in a pile or spread out. We are seniors and had to spend an entire day raking rocks!

Sean indivcidually met with us, reviewed our needs, advised us about the best system for our situation, secured the needed permits, and installed what I believe is the state of the art system at our house.  He made my wife feel comfortable at all times--no easy task. <br />

The services were excellent and they were absolutely professional. What they did was put in a new tank because the old one was disintegrating; they put a wide fitting from the new septic field to the old one. He told me my system would last almost three times as long as the other system by alternating the valves about every 5 years.  This company is the only one in the state of New Mexico that can take a picture of what they’ve done and send it to state inspectors for approval.

S. Benavidez took me through the process of what would be involved in putting in a new drain field and connecting it to the old drain field. From start to finish I was involved in the process of how large the field should be, and what is required for the soil I have. The process from start to finish went as planned and my needs were met. I feel that Mr. Benavidez more than met my expectations, and would highly recommend him to anyone.
