Ed and his crew came out to figure out where my problem was with my sewer line. They had to dig up the sewer line to find out why it was backing up. Once they were able to see the pipe we discovered that one of the utility lines had drilled their cable line through my sewer line causing me the problem. Ed called out the correct officials to determine who was responsible so that I would be able to file a claim for his services. We determined that it was in fact connected to ATand T. I'm still waiting to hear from someone at ATand T in the claims department. However, Ed and his crew did a GREAT job in a desperate time of need. They cut out the bad part of the pipe and replaced it with new. It's running like a champ! Ed also did a great job of taking pictures for me to have to be able to show ATand T if tey had any questions.
They dug up the problem and were able to fix it. The owner supervised it to make sure it was very well done.

Mid-summer I began looking for a contractor to get us hooked up to city water. Rishel was the first I talked to. He came out and gave me the price. I contacted others who offered pricing but were not interested in the project. They referred me back to Rishel not knowing that I had already talked with him.
The difficulty and expense of the project was because when the water main was extended past our home a couple of years before it had to be put in with directional boring. This put the 18and quot; main nine feet below grade and on the other side of College Avenue. Rishel had the equipment and expertise to handle our job without cutting the road.
Over the next couple of months we were in constant contact. To do the job Rishel would have to put equipment on the lawn of the apartment complex across the street from us. He wanted to do the job at a time when they were less likely to cause lawn damage for the apartment complex or for us..
It was early October when that time arrived and we agreed on a day for them to begin. Their equipment arrived early on the designated morning and work began. The layout of the job was explained in detail to me and I was able to visualize the work and follow it as it progressed. The workers were efficient, extremely careful in all that they did. The work progressed seamlessly over the three days it took.
When they finished they left minimal evidence that they had been here. The necessary excavations for meter pit and tie in to the house were minimal and refilled back to ground level plus settling material left.
I was positively impressed by the expertise and caring with which the whole project was done. I certainly would recommend Rishel
to anyone needing excavation work.

It took a while for Mr. Rischel to come out- he did check to be sure that we did not have an emergency, though. He told us if we had another flood to call immediately. Luckily, it was really dry, so we could wait and we were fine with it. He did a very thorough job checking for the sewer pipes and he talked to me before he did work. He put in an outdoor cleanout valve and, as a bonus, removed a shrub that I really didn't care much for (for free). He walked me through where the pipes were in my neighborhood and why my home had flooded. He also told me what could be done to prevent the flooding. He made sure I understood what would happen and the limitations of the check valve (it is a mechanical device that could fail, but is unlikely to do so). He and his crew were very professional- they were polite and on time.
It has been a few months since the installation and we have had some super heavy rains without our sewer pipes flooding. The check valve was worth every penny- cleaning up sewage is awful and that is why I gave him an A on the price.
Rischel responded quickly, gave a very fair estimate, did the work when he said he would, worked with the municipal inspector to insure that all codes had been followed, and provided a warranty. The project was to connect my home to the municipal sewer. I was very pleased with the workmanship and the price. Highly recommended.

Excellent, I was kept informed and permitted and encouraged to inspect their work at points during the process.

I felt I got great service that was well worth the cost.
Those repairs were completed nearly 3 years ago, and my tenant has never had a problem with water back up since.
Very well though not entire length could be inspected. Still waiting on price quote to replace sewer line if needed in future.

Ed Dishill was prompt with his initial meeting time, reasonable time to get estimate, work was completed rapidly. They may want to let customer know that grading/re-seeding was not included.

"Thanks for the comments. The name was not correct - it should be Rishel - not Dishill."

Mr. Rishel came at the appointed time and discussed the installation with the plumber as to where the inlet should go. Both were very professional. I was given the price which was much less than another estimate. The job was well done and completed satisfactorily. I would recommend him.

This problem had been addressed by several contractors in the past, and no one could come up with a solution. With the help of an engineering report I provided, Mr. Rishel knew immediately how to attack the problem, while leaving room for the unexpected and unknown. He used a step-by-step method, making adjustments as he learned what exactly was going on with the original drainage system, and keeping me informed along the way. He installed new drainage pipe where needed, replaced sections that were damaged, and set 2 catch basins to stave off future problems. Ed and his crew were so easy to work with, that the trauma of having my yard/flower beds dug up and trampled by the heavy machinery was minimal. He even called in a landscaper with whom he had worked previously, and together they dug up and replanted existing shrubs and flowers - everything survived! He also was able to call in a tree service to remove 2 large trees that were in the way of the new drainage pipe. Mr. Rishel did his very best to minimize all damage and expense, such as digging under my front walk to lay new drainage pipe instead of just ripping the concrete out. He is a true gem - a man of integrity and honesty - and I would recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

Two and 1/2 years ago, Rishel installed a new septic system for us and did an excellent job. When one lift station pump failed on 2/2/2010, they responded the same day and repaired the system, installing a new pump. They are efficient, honest, and a pleasure to deal with.
