Initially I tried several vendors for estimates and had either no response or no follow-through. Rising Height did respond and said they could not take on anything else through the end of the year (this was approximately mid-November). Fast forward to February. I contacted them again and was told I could text a picture to receive an estimate. Mike then called, making arrangements to give an estimate the next Friday. On Wednesday he called saying he was nearby and if convenient could stop by that day. He did so, bringing John (his drywaller), and within a couple days Mike texted me with an estimate for ceiling repair plus one for priming/painting when done. Work was to start the following Wednesday after my daughter and I had cleared counter tops. Due to a sudden health issue we were unable to prepare the kitchen and asked to postpone the job. Mike first offered to do the prep for us, then agreed to postpone the work for a week. Thursday, March 7, Mike and Chad arrived on time, took out remaining dropped ceiling framing and drywall and replaced ceiling. Friday morning John came to finish drywall prep which took just a few hours; he was to return Saturday to sand dried compound. However, I had forgotten an appointment we had on Saturday, so Mike and John returned Friday evening to finish the ceiling. At all times during this project Mike and his team were professional, personable, and quick to respond to any concerns. The ceiling looks wonderful, the overall experience was great, and I would not hesitate to recommend Rising Height Unlimited to anyone!

We hired rising heights to complete a semi finished basement. They framed and placed dry wall, painted a ceiling, replaced a sliding door, repaired some exterior siding, and created new walls. There were some small minor electrical issues when working in the basement as well as an issue with a gas line. The owner mike was extremely responsive and immediately contact me when issues arose. When able to took care of the issues himself, however these two issues he recommended using a licenses electrician and plumber to handle. Because we were doing a much larger project for the whole house he had worked with these individuals. He was therefor able to work with them to ensure the safe completion of the project. Many companies we have worked with in the past try to cover up or fix themselves small mistakes that are made by employees. Rising heights is very honest and able to recommend the correct way to fix a problem. Rather than putting a band aid on an issue they work to ensure that something is fixed the right way.

Rising heights remodeled part of our kitchen as a part of a whole house remodel. They worked within a very strict deadline for the project and had to complete it around the work of other companies. They had to work with a granite installer and painters. The project included installing new fixtures, removal of an island in the kitchen, and redoing a back splash in the kitchen. This was part of a larger remodel project in which rising heights did a significant amount of work.

Rising heights was hired to install hardwood flooring in the whole first floor and high end laminate in our bathroom, laundry room, and basement. They were very prompt and professional. The hardwood that was chosen was extremely difficult to work with and required more labor than initially thought. Given the strict timeline rising heights had to work within this presented a difficult challenge. They were able to get it done on time even though it required more man hours. They were also incredibly responsive with some small punch out work that needed to be done after completion of the project. They worked around our work schedules to complete the project.

Mike and his team hooked up a 40’ gas line from a house gas meter to fire pit. His team was responsive and did the work to my satisfaction. They also were able to recess the key valve into my fire pit brick to keep aesthetics to my liking. That recessing was a change to the original agreed work and required an 12” key to turn the valve. Since it was a change Mike didn’t have one but got in his truck and went to two or three different places to try and find one the day of install so that I could have a party that evening. It really showed he cared about his client. I would recommend him for any construction needs you have.

We performed a complete remodel of our master bathroom. This was on a very tight timeline given significant remodeling done to the whole home. Rising heights was given a strict timeline for completion that they were able to meet. As with many projects rising heights also had to work with other contractors such as for granite countertops and painters. They were able to fully work with the other companies without issues. Like many projects there were some small hiccups along the way. Initially the wrong tile was laid down on the floor, purely a miscommunication problem. The owner, Mike, took full ownership of the issue and immediately fixed it within 1 day. This included him personally staying very late to get it done and coming in on a weekend day he was going to take off. There was also an issue with our shower bench and placement of a all glass enclosure. Due to the glass company not being able to warranty the install due to a concern of how close materials were the company immediately fixed the issue. This was an unforeseen problem that occurred after completion of the bathroom by them. They came in very promptly to address these issues. Overall this is a very responsive company that is willing to work at odd times to get a project done. When there are issues the owner is extremely responsive and takes ownership of the issues. Like all remodel projects problems will always pop up, however many companies use this as an opportunity to make a larger profit, rising heights instead uses this as an opportunity to do the right thing.

Working with Rising Height was the absolute worst professional experience I've ever encountered. Work we wanted done: tape and mud previously hung drywall, install 5 canned lights on existing 4-way switch, install drop ceiling, and trim out the space. We were also quoted for painting the approximately 200 sq ft space. At the time of the quote (in July) the owner said his crew could start the work within the next two weeks and predicted a one-week job. I know construction projects ALWAYS take longer than expected. Getting all the work done took 6 weeks, not 1. Part of the problem stemmed from an incomplete quote, which was our fault for missing that Rising Height didn't quote the trim install that we requested. So comparing his quote to others was apples to oranges. We opted out of having Rising Height do the painting. We signed and were promised work would begin in early August. The first project that needed completed was taping and mudding the drywall we had hung. The drywall guy was amazing, showed up on time, and came on a Sunday to complete the work that took a little longer than expected. Once the drywall work was complete, we had to call and call Rising Height to get the next crew out: lights and drop ceiling. It was supposed to be a 2-day job. We were met with sob story after sob story. This guy was in the hospital, that guy didn't show up. We were never given advanced notice of no-shows so missed several days of work waiting on a crew to never show up . Once we finally did have a crew show up, they decided that a portion of the ceiling that they were to install should have been drywalled and had to improvise to install a drop ceiling there. (That would have been nice to know when work was quoted, and we could have hung some drywall to be included in the mudding process.) We ended up installing the trim ourselves once we discovered it was not on the quote and needed the project DONE. After two weeks (not two days) of crews working off and on in our basement, the job was finally done. I wish I could say that the drop ceiling looks amazing, but many of the ceiling tiles have nicks or were cut poorly. (I acknowledge that it is an odd-shaped space, which made some cuts difficult.) They didn't have enough tiles to finish the job and we have mismatched tiles in the ceiling. Rising Height promised to deliver a few extra tiles (they have boxes in their warehouse!) to fix the mismatch, but so far, every appointment to deliver the tiles has been missed. When it came time to pay, there was a 20% fee added to the quote and not explained. We also payed an agreed upon with a 3% charge to pay by credit card. We decided to buy ourselves some ceiling tiles and wash our hands of this company. If their drywall guy worked as an independent contractor, I would totally hire him again if we needed drywall work done. He was the only positive in a long, painful experience.

Having no idea what we were in for, Mike and his team walked us through the process and made detailed estimates for what we knew needed to be worked on. Once the project began, there were some unforeseen issues that RH quickly addressed with us and we came up with a plan. We went into this planning for an $18,000 remodel. After the demo phase, we found leaking in the sub-floor. This was quickly remedied and reconstruction began. After our marble wall tile and mosaic marble floor tile were mostly in, Mike ran a moisture test before running his full blown water testing for leaks. Here is where our "fun" began. The test for moisture was positive. We were notified immediately, and RH removed some of the wall tiles and tried to find where the water was coming from. Long story short, the window we had installed 4 years prior was poorly installed and had leaked through into the insulation behind our wall. RH was awesome rolling with this issue and was not willing to let this issue go unfixed. They tore the whole wall back down to the studs from floor to ceiling, replaced the faultily installed window with a fabricated glass block window, replaced structurally damaged 2x4s, and patched up the stucco on the exterior of the home. They were very careful how they removed the tiles in order to limit damage to the mosaic on the floor and curbless shower base. It was time for the wall and the floor to go in...again. This was done with care and a perfectionism that I appreciated. While this project ended up costing almost double what we originally expected to pay, none of that was RH's fault and we always knew what we were being asked to pay ahead of time. They truthfully went above and beyond on this project and spent several late nights hard at work in order to get everything wrapped up for us. Once the project was complete, his crew cleaned up the area and polished all surfaces to a shine. Mike also made sure to check in and see if everything was up to our liking and standards a few weeks later.

Mike and his team were very thorough in doing a water test, identifying the problem, fixing it in a comprehensive way, and then doing another water test to make sure the problem was in fact fixed. Mike was extremely responsive and showed up when he said he was going to (even letting me know if he was going to be 10 minutes later than expected). He explained what he was doing and his crew was great and conscientious. Very good experience all around!

The job was to finish an attic which required some framing and a lot of irregular angles for drywall. The drywalling came out excellent with nice straight lines and no irregularities. They also did all the door and window framing as well as the baseboard to match the natural maple floor I picked out including an irregular circular window frame that came out very nice. They installed the doors and a hand rail. In addition they installed a skylight and all the lights and electrical fixtures and made some good recommendations for the type of fixtures to use. They also did the insulation work behind the drywall to bring it all up to code.

Let me start by saying I have never had so much trouble finding a company to do a job. I called eight, EIGHT, companies before I found Rising Height Unlimited. Either no one called me back, our job was "too small", or they wanted to charge us an outrageous amount. I called Rising Height and they were very professional on the phone. The lady told me it would be a few weeks before someone could come out and give us a quote, so to get an estimate I could text Mike with a picture and explanation of what we wanted done. I did that, and got a very fair estimate from Mike. We made arrangements for them to do the job for us. My only complaint (if you could call it that) was that they were to arrive between 8-9 am on the day of the job. They were late, and because of my previous experience trying to get someone to do the work, I may have panicked. It turned out they were completing a job for another customer and were running a bit late. I was completely okay once I realized they were running behind and didn't stand me up. (: They got to our house at 10:30am the first day. They did the job in three days and did excellent work. We have a knockdown ceiling and since we were repairing only the kitchen part of the ceiling, it was going to take some work to match the texture. Mike's guys did a great job. I am very happy with all the work they did, the time it took to do it, and the quality of the job done. I would definitely hire them again.

I am having terrible trouble with whoever there plumbing contractor was because I am in the midst of getting ten thousand dollars in repairs done to that plumbing.  Would I recommend them, absolutely not.  The actual kitchen looks nice but I found the painting was sub quality, there's parts where the painting was missed. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it as it was something I could fix with a paint brush. But now with this plumbing issue I can't use my washer, kitchen sink or dishwasher. They are going to have to tear the wall out in my bathroom in order to get to all the plumbing that needs to re plumbed, because there subcontractor didn't do it right. It was either that or take out my granite counter tops, take out my census cabinets because all my piping is behind the wall.  They were supposed to put up a screen to contain the dust and they didn't do as I was told, so I spend lots of time cleaning up dust from the demolition part.

The work itself was of excellent quality, and imperfections were explained. The workers were a bit disorganized, not always keeping track of their shop-vac, and were sometimes late or forced to reschedule, due to not always taking care of themselves. Some workers were late, but called and explained, while others were late but never explained until afterwards.
