Ted & son Casey & crew are the best in area.I requested 3 estimates from local builders. Ted arrived in the rain on weekend ready to measure pool. His enthusiasm continued through completion of project. On a 90 + humid day you could see him in dirt working with crew. I come from a pool & patio background and knew what to look & ask for when building a pool. First -you find the BEST mason in the business= Ted. Second- you find BEST Bobcat operator in business= his son Casey. You need a careful & conscientious person to back fill around your pool and repair your landscape. Casey not only made our yard look great -he also added tons of rock they removed from our yard and added to and lined the creek next to us to prevent erosion. Third- you hope you get a professional & courteous crew- they left yard spotless and treated us and our property with respect. I had ideas for perfect filtration system and Ted filled the order =variable speed pump /cartridge filters / Delta UV filter / Nature 2 auto feed to control algae. We added an auto pool robot for cleaning pool. It is close to drinking water purity and stayed sparkling clean all season. We extended the time in our pool by adding a gas heater-we swam from April to Nov. We had a safety cover installed for winter and had Ted close & open our pool each season. Things Riverwood Pools does above all others= 2" plumbing when all others are smaller/ 4 return jets -when most use only 3 / construct steps & benches in pool solid concrete not fiberglass. Ted will tint concrete to match railing-we had beige rails & ladder-he matched concrete same color-for small add on $$.We also added Limestone coping around pool and a 50' retaining wall. Ted gave us a start & finish date-contingent on Mother Nature. We had few severe weather alerts during construction that put completion date back a few weeks. Ted added a concrete walkway leading to limestone steps- and did not add onto final bill. You won't find that with any other builder! He also installed drain to creek so pool would drain in severe rainstorms. We appreciated all Ted-Casey & crew did for us-in fact we asked him to double the width of our driveway in off season (late Nov.) while we were on vacation. He completed (during cold-rainy week) the job in 10 days. We arrived home to double wide driveway. as I stated earlier-I've been in Pool business for years & it's the hidden things you have to look for before hiring a pool company. We are very pleased with Riverwood Pools work and and realize how fortunate we were to have them construct our pool. Give Ted a call-he'll get back to you as soon as he can.

We hired Riverwood Pools to do an in-ground pool and deck renovation and upgrade in the late summer of 2014. After contracting with the company and work had begun, we were informed by the owner, Ted Wyler, that renovations are not as money-making for him as new builds, therefore we were basically a second-rate customer. Along the way there were other small issues (normal with construction and renovations). For the new pool, we utilized some options he did not typically use, but still suggested and sold to us. A few of which created major issues have taken many months to resolve, and one that is still not resolved:
1) He installed blue steps (instead of the typical white), but a chemical used on the concrete coping forms damaged/bleached them which resulted in visible "drips." To fix, he drained the pool to the bottom step and re-filled the pool multiple times while he attempted to resolve with various chemicals and sanding. The marks are still faintly visible.

2) We converted the pool to saltwater, but he did not install the salt cell unit we requested. He also suggested and sold us a ladder and railing that were not rated for use in salt-water. As soon as they were placed in the water it voided the warranty. By mid-June almost all the finish had flaked off the ladder. We contacted him for a replacement as soon as the first flake came off (early Summer 2015) and have been given excuse after excuse since.

The last we spoke with him was Spring of this year (when we happened to run into him at lunch in Gallatin). He mentioned getting out of the business, complaining about complications, and gave us the excuse that he needs to get paid on another job in order to pay for and deliver our new railings. He told us he ordered them and they are sitting in the warehouse (which we do not believe). He has yet to return any of our recent attempts to contact him. We have been more than patient with this company and are pursuing dispute resolution.

From start to finish this was a wonderful experience. Ted Wyler and his crew were fantastic. They were professional efficient and fun to interact with. They answered all my questions throughout the process and gave me regular updates on what was going on and what would happen next. The pool turned out beautiful and exceeded my expectations. If you are considering putting in a pool you definitely need to talk to Riverwood Pools. I can assure you they will deliver a quality product and the experience will be a positive and enjoyable one.
THe process was fairly smooth and the contractor was great to work with. THe workers were professional and friendly. I actually needed some time during the project to have a retaining wall built and they were able to accomodate that and get back on the job when it was ready.
Riverwood Pools is a top-of-the-line, professional company. That was apparent from the very beginning when the owner, Ted Wyler, participated in the bidding process. I had invited five different companies to submit bids for construction of our pool. Ted made the most professional bid presentation by far. He came to our home and sat down with my wife and I to get an idea of what we wanted in a pool. We really weren't sure of design until Ted sat down with us and hammered out ideas as to overall design. Within a week Ted produced a professional, hand drawn architectural drawing that really impressed us with unique features for our pool. A large tanning ledge for sitting in our beach chairs in the pool, an elevated spa with a spillover water feature into the main pool, a nice length for swimming laps, an area for volleyball and a nice large surrounding deck were all part of the custom design that was a real manifestation of outside-the-box thinking on Ted's part. Even though Ted had designed a unique, custom pool for us with lots of extras he beat all the other bidders by thousands of dollars.
Ted, his son Casey and their crew got started right away on the pool. At all stages of the construction, from the first bucket of dirt at excavation, grading, plumbing, masonry, cement work to lights and liner finishing Ted & Casey and all were very professional, competent and reliable. Their decades of pool building experience was readily apparent and we were comfortable with the idea that our pool construction was in the hands of one of the best. A local electrical contractor with lots of experience in pool building in the area but working with Ted for the first time remarked that he was impressed with the workmanship and skill of everyone at Riverwood Pools. They know what they're doing. The equipment installed by Riverwood is all top-of-the-line quality equipment that not only performs effectively and efficiently but will last for a very long time. Ted & Casey's motto is"Built for a lifetime". You can count on it.
Construction on our pool was started late June and was completed in August. It is a wonderful pool and we love it. Ted, Casey and all their crew were not only professional but downright friendly and fun to have around the place. Want to put in a pool?... These are your people. I highly recommend Riverwood Pools in every regard. We were looking for the best and we found them.
Great group of guys, very clean and well mannered. Felt comfortable with them working around my home with no one there and around my children. Kept a clean work area and did a great finish product for the price paid. Definitely would call these guys again.
Response from Riverwood Pools
"We dug this pool on June 9, 2013. our customers were swimming on July 13. We normally pour the concrete deck before filling the pool with water. However, knowing that it would be days or weeks before we could get a concrete truck into the muddy yard ( because of excessive rainy days), we decided it best to get our customers swimming and do the concrete later. All work was complete on July 30, fifty five days from the start. We feel that's a pretty good completion time, since most of our competitors take 90 to 120 days on average."

Ted Wyler and his son Casey were phenomenal to work with. They did the majoruty of the work themselves and took real ownership in the look, feel, and overall quality of every aspect of this project. We worked together to get the design just right. He was very flexible when I changed the plans a few times throughout the process. The final product of our pool area is in large part because of Ted's custoimer service, creativity, and desire to deliver an excellent product. I am still in awe every time I sit on my pool deck as i look around at the finished product. It just couldnt be any better. I would highly recommend Ted Wyler and Riverwood Pools for your pool project. He and Casey became friends of the family during the construction and he still helps me out when i have questions about the operation of my pool. We welcome anyone to stop by and see the final product if you are having a tough time deciding. We miss having these guys around everyday!
Riverwood Pool was attentive to detail, taking great care with measuring the pool to insure a proper fit the first time . They also performed unexpected and unsolicited work such as smoothing the bottom and sides with pool-crete materials. The workmen were friendly, knowledgeable and professional, as well as neat and tidy. Not only did they clean up after themselves, there never seemed to be an unduly amount of mess as they worked. They responded well to questions and returned phone calls within a reasonable time. Not only would I recommend them to others but I have already asked them to bid on two additional jobs.
