Bob did an amazing job of expertly repairing cracks, nail pops and drywall repairs throughout our house. The paint job is superior - we are very picky and fussy about detail and he and his team did a beautiful job. Highly recommend and would work with him again in a minute. Fabulous painting job for 3 bedrooms with accent walls and hallway, included trims, baseboards and wall repairs where needed. Bob and Ken did great work, was always on time and very neat and not expensive at all. He was beyond reasonable with his quote and was done in 4 days. We are first-time homeowners and we shopped around and very comfortable with Bob as he was detailed on his initial walk-thru on what was needed. Our girls are so happy with their rooms and so were we. We whole-heartily recommend Bob he will not disappoint and will be returning to do our downstairs very soon!

All the baseboards, window and door frames and turned out great. The windows look like new he and helped repair 25 years on minor scratches; he even helped me repair some door trim and with some staining. Very thorough and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the job is done completely and you are satisfied. Would gladly work with him again.

It was very punctual and professional. We reviewed various stains that he made samples for to match existing doors and once we decided which ones to use he finished the job within his estimated time frame. Work went smoothly and was conducted in a professional manner. This work was time consuming because it required sanding, 2 coats of stain and 1 coat of varnish for each door.

Bob is super pleasant to work with, stuck to a very tight time line, communicated timely and clearly throughout the project and did a very good job with everything. I couldn't recommend working with him more highly.

The job went very well. Bob is a meticulous craftsman and has very good people working for him, who he closely supervises. He is a real "find" of a contractor - honest and reliable, very easy to work with and dedicated to doing the best possible job. He will not cut corners on you and his pricing is very competitive. You could pay a lot more, particularly in Westchester, and wind up with a lower quality job.

We contacted Bob when we were in Florida to get our initial estimate. He borrowed and returned the key from a local vendor who was contracted to update our kitchen. He responded in a timely manner with a quote. Once under contract, communication remained clear and consistent. This was extremely important to us. Even though we arrived on site before any work began (stayed in a local hotel), contractors for other projects chose to make decisions for us in stead of communicating issues and letting us decide. This wasted time and money. It was a relief to know that with Bob, we did not have this problem. Bob and his crew arrived on time each day and paid attention to details that otherwise may have been overlooked. They painted the entire interior of our home with the exception of the kitchen and baths. The house had been empty for two years before we bought it and the prep work done by Bob and his crew was impressive. Now, it looks fantastic. I highly recommend his service and would not hesitate to hire him again.

Robert from the beginning was very thorough in laying out what the job would entail. Although he is primarily a painter, he had done research in the particular requirements of maintaining log houses and knew which were the best products for those needs. He offered several alternatives in case we opted to go for a less expensive job, but since we were most interested in a practically maintenance free exterior, we went for the best job. I was impressed that when Robert learned that the manufacturer recommended only a single clear coat over the stain (originally Robert suggested two clear coats) he immediately informed us of this so he could take the cost of the second coat off his original proposal. <br /> Robert was at the job himself most of the time, and his crew was hard working, friendly, and professional. My wife and I appreciated that he employed several women, and they were definitely skilled at what they were doing. <br /> There were a few tricky aspects of this job that Robert worked hard to get right. For instance, a log support pillar on the front porch had been repaired at its base because of rot and had been hand carved to match the contours of the original pillar. However the repair was made of pressure treated pine, and the rest of the pillar was deeply stained cedar. So not only was there no color on the repaired piece, but it was a completely different wood that would absorb stain differently. Robert experimented quite a bit to color match and I must say that he did very well with what was almost an impossible job of color matching. All in all I would highly recommend R.J. Ritacco painting-- they are friendly, easy to work with, attentive listeners to the customer, and skilled and efficient at what they do. <br /> Note: I checked "N/A" for price because, frankly, we had a hard time finding anyone else who seemed like the right person so we did not have any other quoted prices for comparison. Even if we had, this kind of thing can be like comparing apples to oranges. I will say that given the amount of time, the type and quantities of materials, and the manpower it took, the price seemed very fair, but I am not knowledgeable enough to say that with certainty. <br />

Bob is a lovely man, and true to his word.  I needed the north side of my house painted late in the season, before roofers arrived to install a standing seam roof.  I told him the job would require two portions: scraping and painting before the roofers arrived, and then finishing touches after the roofers left.  Bob was fine with that, and very accommodating to all my requests.  All his assistants were very professional and polite as well.   <br /> For a professional job well done, on time without mess or fuss, call Bob! <br />
