A lot of push back when other contractor was delayed. We have used RNC painting before. Very responsive, punctual it was great. Not so much this time. The ceiling is cracked and keeps getting worse. They refuse to respond. We have been contacting them for a 4-6 weeks.

RNC was very responsive to my project. We had an upfront price within 24 hours and agreed to get the project started. The communication between us was on point. I knew what was happening every step of the way. The project was completed in the time frame specified. Robert and Carla were very detail oriented, down to the position of the screws on the cover plate going the same direction as the switch. We have hired them again to paint the bathroom.

In April/May 2019, I contracted with Neese's Painting (also doing business as RNC Painting) to power wash and paint my deck in Columbia, Missouri. At the time, I advised the Neeses that the deck had to be completed because I was selling my house in early 2020 following an anticipated move to Australia. I needed the deck to be repainted so that all would be in good shape to present to potential buyers. My contract indicated that work would begin in August 2019. I paid the entire amount (approximately $850 in advance). In September 2019, I began reminding the Neeses that they needed to do the painting before the leaves dropped and certainly before the frosts began. The Neeses had a range of reasons why they couldn't paint the deck, and the those excuses carried on into the winter months, when they of course could not paint because of the weather. I was in constant contact with them prior to the date the house sold (May 2020), and although they promised to come do the work on several occasions, they never did so. I told them well before the date that the house sold that they would need to issue a refund if they did not complete the work, and they agreed that would be appropriate. Again, however, they failed to follow through. My last contact with them, an email dated May 28, 2020, indicated that they wanted to repay the amount due in two installments, one to be paid at the end of June 2020 and the other to be paid at the end of July 2020. It is now August 2020, and the first installment has not been received and the Neeses are not returning my messages. I do not recommend that you use this provider.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lost $100.00. Beware of oral contracts! I hired RNC painting LLC on June 19th to paint a 10 by 10 concrete patio. They were supposed to have come back on that Monday to sand and paint the patio, no call no show. I had to call them on Friday. Once again, more excuses., but, promise to come back the next Friday which was a no show but, they did call with another excuse possible rain. but they said they would be back Monday, today. There was some water standing on the concrete and she said that they could not be able to paint and it would be Wednesday before they could paint. so, I fired them on the spot. The sad thing for me was on June 19th I paid them $100.00 to start the job 50 of it was a tip. They left not offering a refund nor did they give my tip back. I guess they needed the money.

"We are always sorry to hear a customer is unhappy with our services. When the home owner contacted us she said she had problems with a couple of other contractors and just wanted it done. We did explain we were squeezing it in and would get it done ASAP. We did cancel on Friday 7/3/2020 as there was a %60 chance of rain which it did rain Friday afternoon. When we showed up Monday 7/6/2020 there was 2 inches of standing water in the middle of the patio. When the home owner said it is always like that from her sprinklers I explained we can not paint over water. I asked her could she turn them off let the patio dry the rest of Monday and Tuesday and we would return Wednesday to paint. She said no no no that is not okay and she was done with us and hiring someone else. We as a company and painters have to much pride in our work to paint over a puddle of water. The $100 paid was for power washing none of it was a tip. She still had a balance owed after painting and she had offered a tip if we got it done quick enough for her. We did not offer a refund because services were performed for that money."

We had some new doors installed in our home and hired Robert and Carla to paint the interior and exterior, including the trim. They were both friendly and professional, and their quote was very reasonable. The color match on the exterior was perfect. We were very pleased with the results and would not hesitate to hire them again for future painting jobs.

We hired RNC to do three things: repair popcorn in several areas of our home, remove popcorn in the great room, and spray knock-down. They excelled in all three area. They were honest about the work and gave a very fair proposal. All promises for work schedules were kept and they finished early. The work is outstanding. I'm more than impressed. I've had my fair share of bad experiences with work being done in my home, but these two folks were SUPERIOR to any other company I've worked for. I will be hiring them again when we finish the basement on the new home we purchased. THANK YOU RNC!!! You've restored not only our ceilings, but my faith in a company to do exactly as promised!

Unfortunately, I hired this company, (husband and wife), and I made a big mistake. They charge a “non-refundable” fee upfront which should have been my first clue to run away from this pair. But they seemed to be ok so I agreed. Then from the very start it was obvious they had no idea what they were doing. The wouldn’t show up until around 9:30am -10am, would work about an hour then leave or some days wouldn’t show up at all. They promised a completion date and then was 1 week late getting it done. They took a “personal” day in the middle of the week knowing they wouldn’t finish on time. They were suppose to provide all supplies. They used my own drywall I had without asking, used my drywall screws without asking. The ceiling popcorn texture they started working on started falling off the ceiling, they couldn’t match it with existing popcorn texture and it shows. They didn’t clean up after the job, they got paint all over my stained molding. They got white paint all over my freshly painted red deck. They threw their left over paint and texture out in my grass in the front yard. They argue very argumentative about anything and everything. They didn’t want to paint to the bottom of the wall saying they wouldn’t do it because I can cover the bottom with molding. That’s not their decision to make. Some places were not going to have molding. They didn’t drywall a ceiling according to fire code and tried to cover it up with drywall mud. Some areas they were suppose to do they just didn’t want to do until I asked them about it. They didn’t tell me until after they got their non-refundable fee, they filed bankruptcy and told me I had to pay cash because they couldn’t cash a check, they changed the name of the original company from Neeses painting to RNC painting. So we had to “wire” the money to them. They mentioned something about a parole officer but I’m not sure what that even meant. You want to really check their background too. They even went so far as to pull things out of my trash I threw away. We were in the middle of moving and needed this job to be nice because we were having new carpet laid. Of course their work habits of only working maybe 1-3 hours a day made scheduling impossible. Excuse after excuse after excuse.... I could go on and on here but the bottom line is they are a terrible company, they treat the customer like we didn’t matter and they will argue with you about everything. For the sake of your peace of mind and your homes value you really need to go elsewhere. You will be sorry to get tangled up with this pair. Even after I paid them more of a draw then they asked for, after an inspector showed the issues needing corrected, when I told them, they told me I just wanted to make an excuse not to pay them the last little bit of money and they wanted to show me complaints they found on line that they thought was me. This was all about their work, not me. Then they made threats and refused to make the corrections. How pathetic. All I wanted was a professional job. What I got was 2 people that didn’t have any idea what they were doing. Be aware.

"First we would like to say the pictures posted on this review are pictures before the job was complete and it does not currently look like that. Those were pictures in the process of the job. Popcorn has been repaired and all drywall work completed. The home owner insisted we use the drywall there and said it was bought by the last contractor he had hired and had fired because he was unhappy with their work as well. They are moving out of town and he said it would be one less thing he had to move. We did clean up our mess and again he said daily he understood it was a construction project and was not worried about the mess. We still would shop vac and clean up our mess. The transfer of funds to our account had absolutely nothing to do with a bankruptcy but was the result of him writing us a credit card check which the bank could not confirm funds on. We are currently working on getting a letter from the bank for proof. Also we paid ALL transfer fees from his bank and ours for that transaction. We also would like to clarify neither one of us ARE or EVER have been on parole and are willing to provide a full back ground check to any one that would like to see one. The reviews we sent him were from his company and this home owner on public court records is currently being sued for not paying other companies. He also has many other law suits which he has lost everyone of them. We do not argue with our customers and have pictures to put with the signed contract to prove we also did work we were never suppose to do and did not get paid to do. We also have a receipt to prove we purchased 1/2 drywall for the ceiling as there was not enough to complete the job. We also called the company that he said in text he was having do the inspection and that company does not provide home inspections as a service. This home owner is making up lies because he does not want to pay his final bill and has a LONG paper trail of doing so. Please read all other reviews as we have SEVERAL very satisfied customers!!!!"

They did a great job! They were incredibly flexible and communicative with us about what they were doing each day. They reached out two different times when the paint color didn't look quite what we had in mind, and it saved us a lot of heartache and extra work later when they were right and we changed the color to be a better match. They went above and beyond by painting trim and fixing some extra spots they didn't have to. Our house looks great and we would hire them again!

I have had extremely good experiences with Neese Painting. I have hired them multiple times to do interior jobs, big (whole house) and small (one room). They are my go-to painters, and the only painters I confidently recommend to friends. Their work is impeccable. They are especially skilled with so-called "mud work" jobs -- making (big or small) cracks, nicks, bubbles, etc. in walls and ceilings disappear -- and it's the reason I turned to them most recently. Robert and Carla Neese are professional -- they show up when they say they will, they stick to their bids, they are clean (and never leave a mess during the project), and get the work done fast.

We hired the Neeses to paint almost the entirety of the interior of our home. The end result is fantastic and we are very pleased with the quality of the work done. The color we picked for our main living areas clashed with our trim and the Neeses even stopped, brought it to our attention, and were very accommodating as we changed colors. We are SOOO glad we made the change and if we would have hired someone else who would have powered through it, I'm not sure we would have been happy with the finished product. The project drug on more than I would have liked, but in the end it was worth it and I would recommend the Neeses again. I only gave a "B" on price because they are not the cheapest option, but the price was appropriate for the excellent quality of work. Thank you, Neeses, for the great work!

If you don’t want to read all this, just look at the pictures. The Neese’s are personable and make a pretty good impression when doing the bid. They seem knowledgable and Robert is able to point out mistakes made by previous painters (which pale in comparison to some of the work they left me with). Overall, they’re likeable people. Their work and work ethic is another story. Robert and Carla Neese consistently underestimated how long things would take and didn’t show up when they said they would or work as long as they said they would. The first room they did was the master bedroom. After starting a week later than promised (because Robert was sick), they said they would paint it all in one day, “even if it took 12 hours” while we were out of town, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. On Wednesday they texted this message “We didn't think about taping to our caulking on Monday when we said we could finish the room today. We are going to let our caulking dry up and come do the painting on Sunday. Our family leaves early Sunday morning and we will come over and finish up before you guys get home.” Really? This is their business. They didn’t know that caulk has to dry before you paint it? This should have been my first clue, but I said no problem, as long as it’s done before we get home. It wasn’t. They decided to go out of town instead because Carla’s mom wasn’t feeling well and said they would finish it Monday afternoon. This was the first couple in a LONG line of excuses. They typically showed up to work between 10-11 AM and left between 3-4 PM. They asked me on several different occasions if I minded if they stayed late to work. I always said, “not at all.” They never did. On another occasion they were running way behind and promised they would work 12 hours a day on a Saturday and Sunday to catch up. Six hours was the longest they were here on both of those days. I have text messages to document. I didn’t ask or expect them to work 12 hour days, or on weekends, but don’t tell me you’re going to and then don’t. These are just a couple examples. There are multiple! They always had some reason, but after a while I kind of felt like the teacher with the student whose dog ate his homework. I feel like they promised things to make me feel better in the moment, but didn’t follow through. Whether they really thought they could do what they said or if they were just placating, I don’t know and I don’t want to judge. But they need to understand that it’s better to under promise and over deliver than over promise and under deliver. When they set up an expectation and then don’t meet it, it’s very frustrating. This happened over and over and over again. This is not my first experience with painters. And my husband and I have done a lot of painting ourselves. This is a job that should have taken a couple weeks at most. It took them over six weeks and the job still isn’t done. Near the end they ended up hiring a couple guys to help them. One guy was a nightmare, but the other, Gustavo, did a great job. He showed up early, at 8 AM or before, and seemed willing to stay later than them, but they made him leave when they did. But Carla and Robert complained about him not finishing as quickly as he told them he would. He was sick one day and didn’t come and they were quite annoyed by that. I found it very ironic that they complained about these things since they had yet to complete anything when they said they would and were constantly not showing up due to illness or some other reason. While they were on the job, I contracted them to paint some of our ceilings as well. We didn’t realize at the start of the project that this would be necessary. I’m not including the ceilings in the work that wasn’t completed. I’ve gotten someone else to do that. It’s the original job that is not done. There is still a lot of touch up to do, there are shelves that need to be painted and the inside of the patio door never got painted. Here are some of the excuses they gave for being late, leaving early or not showing up at all: Robert’s sick. Carla’s sick. Carla’s mom wasn’t feeling well. Our dog threw up all over the house during the night. The paint sprayer broke. We had to go to the paint store, but it didn’t open until 9 on Sunday, we thought it opened at 8. (I checked and it actually didn’t open until 10, so they weren’t actually at the paint store.) We have to go do another little job. We have to meet with a rep from another paint company (Twice). We have to go to Jeff City to work out Robert’s child support issues. Robert’s adult son (who lives in AZ) got kicked out of the house by his mother. Our pipes froze. We have to wait for a plumber. The list goes on. Robert and Carla are a unit. If one of them can’t come, neither will. Carla’s sick? Robert doesn’t work either. Robert’s sick? Carla doesn’t work. Plumber is coming to their house? One person can’t wait, they both have to. I was consistently patient and understanding with them throughout the process. Before they even started work they asked for an advance so they could pay their rent. I gave it. They asked for another advance later on so they could pay the guys they hired to help. I gave it again. Perhaps they mistook my kindness for weakness. And maybe it was. I certainly shouldn’t have paid them in full until the job was done, but it was right before Christmas and I was being nice. And I trusted them. That was my mistake. The “frozen pipes/the plumber is coming” was used as an excuse for a few days. After not showing up when they said they would on the final day I decided enough was enough. I asked for my deposit back for the ceiling job they hadn’t started yet. At first, they said, no, but then ultimately agreed. I was happy about that, but they have since ignored all my efforts to contact them so I don’t expect to see that money again unless it’s in small claims court. Here are the final text messages between us after they didn’t show up when they said they would: 1/5/18 Me: You guys have a lot on your plate. I think it’s time we part ways. I wasn’t sure how long my patience would hold out, but I think we’ve discovered the end of it. I’ve had pipes freeze and break twice, so I do know what’s involved. That being said, I’m not quite sure why it’s taken a whole week to take care of or why two people need to be there for a plumber. Anyway, we’ll need to get our deposit back. I also found a good size spot on the carpet in one of the downstairs rooms that had a paint spill on it. Someone obviously tried to clean it up, but it’s still there. In my experience dried paint does not come out, but we can try to have it cleaned and if that doesn’t work patch that piece of carpet. There’s also still a lot of touch up that needs to be done. Let me know what you think a fair price is to refund us for the touching up and the carpet. Thanks. Neese: We understand you wanted to get your ceilings done this week and we said we would squeeze you in this week. The contract we signed has a start date of January 22nd. We were just going to get to you before our next job. As far as the paint on the carpet we are unaware that was done and we are assuming someone we had helping us had spilt cleaned it and didn't tell us. Neither me or Robert spilt paint down there. We are still willing to paint your ceilings Monday but we do not see why we would need to return your deposit as we are willing to complete the work before the date on the contract we signed. Me: Really Carla? We’re going to go by the contract now? All of the contracts clearly state that you don’t receive payment until the job is done. I gave you an advance before you even started work so you could pay your rent and I gave you another advance later. And then I paid you in full before Christmas even though neither the upstairs nor the downstairs is done yet. You shouldn’t be starting any other job until that was completed. There is still a lot of touch up to do and the bottom and sides of the shelves have not been p

They are nice folks, very friendly and professional giving the estimate fall of 2016 and paid the deposit. Neese's were delayed starting the project(s) by nearly 2 months siting various reasons. A death in their family figured into this, very understandable so overlooked it. Outbuilding was done in reasonable amount of time. After that, even with weather delays, work was sporadic. Communication was not always the best. Many days they did not show or if they did, was for an hour or so. Longest time here on the job was 4-5 hours. Workmanship was not as good as on outbuilding, overspray, not detailed as expected, drips on surfaces not always cleaned up. Numerous promises for completion dates were not held to. Also felt their requests for cash advances of payment before completion wasn't professional.
