Arrived after 10am every day, for 6 days. Inspector said it should have taken 3. They didn't use tarp, and weren't prepared for rain. My ceiling is ruined in 3 rooms in my new house, because of their negligence. They sealed up 2 of 3 leak spots same.day, but other was just covered with metal next day. Told to get paint to cover it up... can't "cover up" mold when inspected for it.. worst experience of my life. Waiver Affidavit was printed before they even finished the job! We were never presented with insurance, only a license number.

"While there are cases in where a quick turnaround is possible, we cannot be responsible for the weather or other circumstances playing a role on a project delay. This can include, property owner not being home, not having proper access to the roof, special work hour requests, rain or stormy weather, etc. When we arrived, there was already significant existing water damage to the home that was later tried to pass off as damaged caused by our staff, which was not the case. Any expert will tell you that mold does not grow over the course of a few days. Still, we did our best to provide coverage to the home while our workers rushed to fix the problem during bad weather days. It was the responsibility of the homeowner to cover any damages prior to RN Palmer Roofing coming out to the home. Tarps are a temporary means of blocking leaks and not intended for strong weather. We are a fully licensed company, and all of our jobs are insured and inspected by the state. Unfortunately, there are situations in where obvious intentions to make false claims against our business insurance can result in a disagreement with a client. We are sorry this was the case in this matter."

The service went really good. The detail at the end wasn't too great but they provided a very good service and they did it pretty fast. I have expected they did better at the end part.

"RN Palmer Roofing provided excellent and fast services, to which is evident in the client’s review. Unfortunately, in the end, the client was not completely happy about having to pay for existing damages that were discovered during the re-roofing of his home. These damages were not initially a part of the contract and weren’t covered in the estimate originally given. We did everything right and gave proper notification of the damages once they were discovered, to allow for the client to make a decision. Unfortunately, we cannot be held liable for the inconvenience the client experienced in this case."

The roof looked really good. We started getting some heavy rains and the roof began leaking. He has been back about 4 times. I have now been trying to call. I was trying to be patient, but no one bothered to call back. The last time I called they informed me that I was on the list, but they would not be calling me to acknowledge that they had received my request. Basically, my complaint was not as important as the others. I said that was enough. I am not satisfied with their actions. Mr. Palmer and his crew did a fine job initially and were very nice. Now after the job is done and I am seeing leaks, they are not being responsive. I cannot paint inside my kitchen with the leaks. I would not recommend them to anybody. Mr. Palmer himself was professional, but the service I was getting from the people that answered the phones was unacceptable.

"This review was left prior to resolution of the problem. We came out several times as client states, at the client’s request, to inspect the roof. It was finally determined that the problem was not related to the roof but instead coming from an open vent that was letting in water. After we inspected the problem and pointed out the source, the client agreed, and the problem was resolved."

From the first time I met Robert I got the impression that he was not only competent but also honest. We had several companies price the job for us and RN Palmer's quote was by far the best while also being the least pushy. He was polite, honest, and willing to work with us to achieve all that we needed within our budget. When it was time to get the roof done the workers were prompt and worked the whole day. Robert Palmer and his crew were extremely professional from start to finish. Robert came and gave me an estimate immediately. He advised me when the work would begin. The work was completed in a timely manner and they always answered any concerns that I had. Their secretary put up with my many phone calls, and was always so courteous and professional. If she couldn't answer my question, she checked with Robert and called me right back. The customer service was terrific. There were other things that they did that were not part of the roofing job, just to help me out. I would highly recommend R N Palmer Roofing to anyone. The final price was 33% over the original bid and it took them two month to complete a job that they estimated could take 7 - 10 days. Even thought there was significant damage, this company did not perform a thorough inspection prior to providing an estimate. I wish I would have placed a cap in writing on how much they could exceed their original estimate. In addition, they never sent the Certificate of Completion to me as promised. <br /> <br /> I live in a community that has HOA rules that state that all debris must be removed daily. I explained this rule to the owner and the job foreman. This company left a huge pile of debris in the front yard on a Friday. The owner was out of town and could not be reached. There was no one on call over the weekend. I consider not having anyone on call a very bad and thoughtless business practice. The pile of debris was in the front yard over the weekend. <br /> <br /> I was not living in the house yet but I would go over at different times during the day and week and there would be no one on the job. This is probably one of the reasons that it took two months to complete. At the end of the job, the roof did not pass the final inspection. The owner told me it was because the facia and soffit had raw wood that had not been primed or painted. The owner gave me a bid to prime and paint the wood for an additional $1,200. I told him that I would pass and get someone else to do it. He then primed the wood at no charge. I called the City of West Palm Beach to verify the reason for failing the inspection and they told me ti was because the paperwork was not on the job. Hmmmmm? <br /> <br /> The craftsmanship was so poor on the facia and soffit that was visible that I had to call a roof repair company to determine if the roof was structurally sound. They told me it was not the best work they had ever seen but it was sound. I had to call Palmer Roofing back out to caulk the facia and soffit because there were huge gaps between them and the house. They cared so little about the quality of their work that they did not perform this task until I requested it. <br /> <br /> I thought I did my homework before choosing this company. I checked them on Angie's List, the BBB and the licensing board. There were no red flags but hopefully this review will save someone else a very frustrating experience.

they were prompt and courteous. Price was reasonable. Very good quality work. Equally important was their response to a documentation requirement by our insurance company a few months later. They took care of everything.
