It looks great. They did a good job. Their pricing was competitive. They were here when they said they would be.

Tried to forge a contract with prices that I did not agree to. Not very professional job, lots of inperfections.

Robert Hershberger construction did a great job all around! They were prompt, courteous and professional when providing the quote, had the lowest price, promptly began construction, and did an amazing job on our siding. We couldn't be happier with the results, and would definitely hire them again in the future.

They were a fair price. They were recommended by a professional engineer. They had a crew that came in and they installed 3 doors over 4 days in an ocean front condo. They were prompt. They were clean. The prior problem was that they were leaking and they did a complete water test afterwards and gave us a one year warranty on their reinstallation. They did a really, really good job.

No negative feedback from insurance, so he got everything right the first time.
We contracted with Robert Hershberger Construction to install Hardy Board siding on our wood frame home. We were ultimately pleased with the end project and overall improved look of the home. However, as the work was being completed and issues arose Mr. Hershberger was difficult to contact. It would take him several days to return our calls, all as his workers were continuing a project we had questions about. Several items outside of our home were damaged (pool equipment) but Mr. Hershberger repaired/replaced them all. What we are waiting for is a $500.00 rebate which was promised. When we sought bids for the project our decision came down between two options. Mr. Hershberger convinced us to go with his company promising a $750.00 rebate approved by the manufacturer. After the completion of the work, the manufacturer delivered a $250.00 rebate and stated that Mr. Hershberger was responsible for the rest. To date, after emails and phone calls, we still wait for our $500.00 owed and agreed to in the contract. The work was excellent, but the business side is quite poor.
The staff was helpful and friendly. Many very good suggestions were made as the project progressed. The general contractor, Frank, helped me pick out flooring and granite. For the most part the projects were completed in the time frame agreed to with rainy weather interfering with some of the work.
I did learn one lesson. I was a new Florida homeowner and did not realize the building regulations in Florida state that the homeowner is responsible for the payment to any sub-contractor. The homeowner needs to know who will be working on the house and check Angie's List for all of the sub-contractors. I had the threat of a lien put on my house because a roofing sub-contractor did not do the job completely and payment was withheld by the general contractor until all permits were pulled, inspected and work completed. The sub-contractor was allowed to come after me for payment instead of the general contractor. Luckily the general contractor was successful at getting everything done. There is contract wording that can protect you from this. This is important to understand if you have any work done in Florida.

Mr. Hershberger had a good crew which did an excellent job. I do not recall any delays in the job from start to finish. They worked at least five days a week, sometimes Saturdays as well. The entire job was completed in approximately one month.
Gable replacement Initial installation was done incorrectly after returning at my request to fix. I called then James Hardie company, they sent it a tech rep and James Hardie will over-see the project. Coil wrap of fascia The caulking of the coil wrap on the beagle areas was not caulked. Other areas were caulked poorly and after I had the contractor return, they still failed to correct their work. Painting Paint was not sprayed- it was done by roller and brush. Paint was found on the AC compressor, well pump and pressure tank. Paint was on the "faux brick" on the front of the house. Estimated replacement of AC cover is $863.00 plus labor.

The economy is real good for people because one could always get somebody trying to beat the other guy to get the business. It's a good market for people who want to use them. Their price is competitive. This company would do everything. To put up hardiplank, they would have to take out all the screens on the patio and then put up the hardiplank, put the screen in and all those stuff. Some of the other companies don't put in the screenings and one would have to hire 2 or 3 people to paint the trim as they won't have painters and all that. If I add up the charge for the hardiplank and the windows and then the painter's charge and everything, it would cost a lot. It's like one company which can handle everything. They take a month to do it. Then I only have one company at my house for a month instead of 2 or 3 other companies. They were very professional. A hardiplank is 4 inches wide and 12 feet long. It looks like the houses that have wood siding on the side. They are like long strips of concrete. It can be put on a concrete house, but I had a wood siding house. It won't wrought and it's fire resistant too. One need not worry about the wood wroughting and that they would have to replace it after a couple of years and so on. I would use them again in the future.

Our chimney box was in bad shape and needed to be repaired/replaced. This company gave an estimate right away. The old rock covered chimney box had to be removed, and we found a lot of damage from leaks in and around the old box. They worked with us as the job became bigger with more damage found. They did a very good job, always on time and really hard working. The new chimney box, made from Hardy Planks, is such an improvement. They also replaced soffets and facia boards with Hardy Board. Even some damaged beams needed to be repaired. They are very professional, and leave a clean job site. I would use them again without a second thought.
