Robert McQuuen roofing expert, Roberto, came out on Sunday before the installation day Monday to drop off supplies and get prepared for the installation. I thought that was very professional and I was glad to go over everything with Roberto and he answered all my questions. The installation was all done in 1 day and the crew was very respectful of the property below the roof. They made sure not to damage flower beds, walkway lights, etc. around the property. My new roof looks beautiful. I'm very satisfied.

Robert McQueen came out and gave me and my neighbor quotes to replace our roofs. The estimates were considerably less than other companies I received quotes from. As soon as the weather was good enough they began their work and completed it in a reasonable time. Included in the job were some minor roof deck repairs, added flashing where there wasn't any and some additional gutter supports where needed. On these types of jobs, I always expect the clean up to be marginal at best. Their clean up was exceptional. I highly recommend them and would definitely would hire them again.

In July 2013 Robert McQueen's Roofing did a new roof and gutter installation on my home. At first rain gutters began overflowing and that continues today. The 16' gutter on the rear of the house began to sag soon after it was installed. The pitch on all the gutters was off. Several downspouts fell off. Inspection revealed that the roof needed a partial tear off and repair. In the subsequent 4 years I called McQueen many times, left messages, sent emails, videos, pictures requesting that he address the gutter issues. He sent a crew once in August 2013 to install diverters which didn't help. He came himself in Spring 2014 and claimed the overflow was caused by leaf buildup which wasn't true because I'm not situated under trees and my landscapers clean my gutters. After that they wouldn't come back. On several occasions, after many ignored calls, I resorted to calling another roofing company for emergency repairs incurring $500 out of pocket expense, even though I have a 15 year warranty for workmanship from McQueen. Early February 2017, the gutter was hanging off the house ready to fall. I called McQueen and I was angry and threatening a lawsuit. His wife said he would be there on a certain day. Of course he didn't show. Three weeks later the gutter fell off the house. I left another angry message and this time he did actually show, and HE was angry. Immediately he said it wasn't his responsibility. He said my house was badly constructed, that he gave me such a good deal, so I shouldn't bother him, Carl Lindner must have built my house and he was cheap, there could have been an ice event, or a wind event, he wasn't sending a crew everytime something happened. He kept saying, I'm not having you cuss me out. I never used one curse word. I did keep insisting that if he installed the gutter, it was his responsibility to make sure it stayed on the the house. He disagreed. One excuse after another. He stormed out, angry that I bothered him, never to return. The gutter was on the ground. My attic was exposed to the elements and it was storming. I, a senior citizen, on a fixed income, was left with the trouble and expense of finding another roofer to do the work that was covered by warranty. I found a reputable company to respond. They immediately saw that it was faulty installation and gave me a letter to that effect for the court. McQueen had to have seen the same. The gutter was not fastened to the rafters. The screws were too short, the hangers were incorrectly spaced between 40-45" instead of 24" and there were only 4 hangers and there should have been 8. Also flashing in the front and rear of the house stopped halfway. Now I have to have new gutters as the existing gutters can't be rehung ($2500), roof repair ($3100) and repair to the foundation caused by continuous water overflow. ($1200-$3500) in addition to $500 out of pocket for emergency repairs over the past 4 years. I won a judgment in small claims court against McQueen's Roofing. I most likely can never collect. I can find no evidence that the company is insured. He is not registered with the state and has no assets so there's no recourse. It's most important to me for people to know what they're getting when they hire him. Inferior workmanship and materials, no response when problems arise, a worthless warranty and absolutely no recourse for the damage done. Buyer beware.

initially seemed to go well. He came out and covered the roof which was leaking. Replaced the roof and siding. Had some minor concerns about work but was glad the roof was no longer leaking. But now I need additional services on the work he did he does not return calls.

My husband was in the construction business for many years but, until McQueen Roofing, was not comfortable with any of the local companies doing our roof. The work was done very well! Everything was done completely to our satisfaction! We were very pleased and continue to be very happy with the work Robert McQueen did. We would highly recommend Robert McQueen Roofing!

I was very impressed with how quickly I was able to get an estimate and schedule my roofing job. Mr. McQueen came and thoroughly explained what would be done and the costs. I was able to get the brand of shingles that I preferred. I felt their rates were reasonable compared to the other estimates I obtained. The crew that did my roof were all U.S. citizens and they were all courteous and respectful of my property. The foreman on my job was professional and kept me informed throughout the job. Everything was cleaned up quickly. I would definitely tell anyone who needs a roof to use their services. I love the look of my new roof.

Truly gracious owner,pleasure speaking to him on a personal level and he offered many upgrades. (No extra cost)His wife scheduled the estimate and did follow up after job was completed before he estimated and the crew was courteous and professional and answered every question I had everything cleaned up awesome. Owner came out and walked me around the house to explain upgrades.

I hired Mr. McQueen in the spring of 2009. I selected Mr. McQueen after my insurance company sent him out to give an estimate as the other estimates I had received were much higher. My roof had storm damage and needed to be completely replaced (a complete tear off of the old roof). The work was completed. My insurance company paid for the new roof, new flashing, and everything else required for the job as well as a 10 year warranty on workmanship. A few days later, I noticed they had dented my gutter on the back side of the house with their ladder. I made several attempts to contact them. Finally after several weeks they came and replaced that dented piece of the gutter. The gutter wasn't pitched correctly and flooded my screened in porch. They again had to return to fix the pitch of the gutter. Skip forward to early 2016. I noticed water coming down the inside of my walls near my chimney and water coming in around my skylights. I tried repeatedly to call Mr. McQueen. My call was never returned. I even called them to find who their insurance company was but they would never return the call. In an effort to get my roof repaired, I contacted another roofing company. This roofing company came out and stated the work had not been done professionally and the flashing was the culprit of the leaks. This contractor even replaced the boot on the exhaust on the stack because Mr. McQueen's crew had used one that was too small, forced it on, and it was already cracked. He suggested another complete tear off to remedy the shoddy work. He stated there were exposed nails in the roof and valleys. The roof cap was crooked and had a completely different shingle. I finally called my insurance company. The insurance adjuster got up on the roof and did a full inspection. There was no storm damage. The report concluded the work had been done unprofessionally. The flashing had only been replaced in places that could be seen from the ground. They had left the old flashing (that they charged to be replaced) which then leaked. The adjuster said the internal damage to walls etc... was due to the flashing around the chimney and skylights. They confirmed what the other roofing company had initially reported. My insurance company then contacted Mr. McQueen who finally responded and came to look at the damage. He claimed the insurance adjuster was wrong. There was a teeny whole in the chimney (on the front side, the leaks were on the right and left sides not the front) which he claimed had caused the damage. Even I know water doesn't flow backwards. Mr. McQueen refused to repair the damage on the inside of my home that was a result of the flashing. My plaster is ruined. The wood around the skylights is ruined. The carpet under the skylights is ruined. My insurance company will not repair it as the work is still under warranty. At this point, my only recourse is to proceed to small claims unless Mr. McQueen agrees to pay for another company to perform the repairs.

Excellent response and outstanding work. Pricing was very competitive. Quality of work was second to none, installing extra features that provide additional weather protection. Much care was taken to cover and protect plants and shrubs around house and barn. Cleanup was exceptional, it's hard to find a trace that the crew was ever here. The job took approximately 2 days, they showed up on schedule and worked till after dark on both days. Each member of the crew was very polite and professional. They departed leaving us well satisfied with beautiful roofs on our two buildings. We are very pleased and would highly recommend this company to others.

Work was performed professionally but there remains a small matter to be resolved concerning a high truss condition. Company was called several times but the condition was not addressed other than through an examination. Hopefully this will be resolved now that winter weather is essentially over.

I was told I had a 5 year warranty on the gutter guard. It's been 2 years and my gutters are totally full of leaves and debris. I am trying to get a hold of them to come out and clean them as they said they would within 5 years. They never even gave me a receipt or a written warranty. I feel like they are giving me the run around now.

Rocky start but when started, the job was completed mostly to my satisfaction. Mr. McQueen hired a subcontractor to perform most of the work and that crew did a responsible job.

Never once did this contractor show up on time. He made repeated promises but never delivered on his promise. His workers went unpaid so I had to pay them directly. The job took nearly two months longer than promised. Now I'm having problems and he refuses to come out to fix the problems, despite telling me repeatedly that he would.

This contractor was rarely if ever on time after we signed the contract. By the time the work was finished it was 2 months from when he had promised to finish.  <br /> The roof and painting and deck building went ok, other than never being there when they said they would be there. The siding was a diasaster. Depsite assurances that he used his own crews during the sales pitch, he sub-contracted out the siding work. The first crew was led by a guy who clearly had a drug problem. They would show up at 10am or maybe 11 to begin work and leave by 330. Then they would miss a few days and come back again, but only after I repeatedly had to call and scream at Robert. All the while he didn't admit to me that he had hired a subcontractor.  <br /> Finally the crew leader quit and aparently took off without paying his crew. After dozens of heated calls with Robert he finally got more help to the jobsite. Three weeks later his workers are telling me that Robert hasn't paid them a dime. <br /> The back of our house is nearly 50' off the ground and Robert had his workers working off of partial scaffolding and partial ladder jacks. We lived in fear for two months that someone would fall and get hurt or die due to his lack of any safety equipment or preparation for working at such heights. <br /> This crew was better without the first guy, but still very unpredictable and we never knew if they would show up or not. Along the way when I asked about trimming the windows with aluminum, which was not being done, Robert assured me that they would be trimmed. When the project was drawing to a close, finally...after I took off one week of work to make sure that they worked every day and that they had all of the tools they needed. Oh yea, I had to provide many of the tools that this crew used on my project. <br /> I was then informed by the workers that they were not being paid to trim the windows with aluminum, which is part of most any normal siding job. So I agreed to an upcharge of nearly $1,500 for the windows to be trimmed with aluminum, assuring the workers I would pay them directly if Robert didn't. <br /> As it was drawing to a close one of the workers approached me and said that Robert had not paid them at all. I had to get waivers of lein signed by all of the workers and by Robert before releasing their final payment.  <br /> Within 6 months of the job being completed the window trim began blowing out of the windows, and you could see it had not been fastened or adhered in place. When I called Robert he promised to send someone out right away. Of course, nobody showed up. After more calls to Robert we finally had someone show up and stick the trim that was on the ground back into several of the windows. Since then more have blown out and Robert first promised to send someone, then suggested I should file an insurance claim. When I insisted the trim was never installed properly, he promised to send someone out.  <br /> 5 weeks later and still nobody has shown up. I call and get promises but virutally anything this man promises fails to happen, certainly not on the schedule that he promises. I would suggest you stay away from this contractor. <br />

- They were on time - Job looked O.K. Problems started when suddenly the roof was leaking in several places (even the 20 year old one was water tight...) - Promises to come and fix it, nothing happens for months - After threatening a lawsuit, they show up and say they fixed it - Water is still coming in in the garage and by now destroyed the drywall ceiling - Called another company, they said it would all have to be torn out and redone as the previous job was done incorrectly and unprofessionally - McQueen showed up again, said it was now really fixed - Water leaking in the garage about 9 months after the "really fixed" job. The other company was correct in their assessment that McQueen's job was done unprofessionally and incorrect. - Reached out to McQueen to get if fixed ... lol, again.... - Left voicemail, sent e-mail, reached out via Angieslist to get a promise they will call back - that was 3 weeks ago and of course nobody called. Bottom line: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND GET SOME REAL PROFESSIONALS I had enough now and will get a lawyer to sue them.

They were amazingly quick to get us scheduled and the job completed. The work looks great and they were very patient is answering questions as well as prompt in their communications.
