We called several of the "Gold Star" roofers on the Angie's List website and they were the only roofers that came to our house to give us a price estimate. Of all the other roofers only one other even called us back. The rest never called. We were very disappointed with that. Robert Millard stayed in contact with us from the first call and was easy to contact throughout the whole project. Robert and his crew were all very. experienced, knowledgeable and easy to talk to and ask questions. Overall they did a great job. The only negative issue was with a chimney cap that we are trying to resolve. I would definitely use them again. <br />

They made a fantastic job! Bob and his team arrived on time, finished on time, were very very courteous and nice tot talk with. The price was fair and they made the effort to come quickly before the weather is too cold to repoint the chimney. Bob explained me a few things about what he was doing and is fully comitted to deliver a quality job. I will recommend them to friends for sure. <br />

Robert Milliard Roofing was a life saver. I had three feet of snow on my roof, severe ice-dams on 5 sections, and water leaking in two places. I had hired another contractor, but he quit before the job was complete (only after taking my $300). I couldn't get another contractor to return my calls. When Robert got my voicemail, he made time late one eventing to come by and inspect the damage. When he saw how bad it was, he made time to fit me into his busy schedule by working late nights and weekends. He did this not only once, but twice! <br /> I was very happy with the work Robert did. On two occasions, Robert and his crew completely removed all the snow and Ice from my roof. He could have easily had turned down this "extra" work (as many other contractors did), but he took the job because he knew how sorely it was needed. When other contractors would have easily taken advantage of this situation, Robert did a professional job and at a fair price. I will defiantly hire Robert Milliard Roofing again. I've owned a home in Massachusetts for over 20 years, and I can say with confidence that this is the best contractor experience I have ever had regrading having work done on my house. Robert Milliard Roofing did a fantastic job. They met and/or exceeded all my expectations. The work was done on-time, to-estimate (which was very competitive), and the craftsmanship is excellent. Robert and his crew are very professional, courteous, and take pride in their work. I was especially impressed by how cleanly they keep the job site at the end of each day. When the work was done, Robert's crew completely removed all trash, nails, and debris left from my old roof. They even volunteered to removed some "extra" junk that was left behind by another contractor. During the job, one of our garden ornaments was damaged by a shingle falling from the roof. I had expected some "collateral damage" given how big a job the was so I was not upset. But, when my wife pointed this out to one of the workers, Robert went out of his way to find and purchase an exact replacement. Robert also when the "extra mile" to re-shingle my tool shed and woodshed because, in his works, "it looks better." <br /> If I should ever need additional work done on my roof, there is no other contractor I would call. I highly recommend Robert Milliard Roofing. <br />   <br />

Bob came out the day I called for an estimate. I got the estimate soon after. I accepted and paid half down. He did the work less than a week later. Really really professional and conscientious. <br />

They are reliable, a little expensive but did a good job.

Provider is highly knowledgeable when it comes to proper sealing around chimneys. He knew exactly what needed to be done and I am confident I will not have any more leaks from this point moving forward. Furthermore, he said he will come back within a 10 year time span if I ever run into any problems in the future. <br /> <br />

Instead of removing the ice dams by a method that was safe for the roof, it was all removed via hammering, smashing and chipping at the ice, which damaged a number of shingles and will require roof repairs in spring/summer.  The price they charged was comparable to other companies that removed ice dams with steam, which would have been a less damaging method.  The price was grossly excessive in comparison for the services rendered and we will not use this company again.  We could have had the same work done for less than half the price.

The people in the office were absolutely unbelievably comforting and very supportive. They were wonderful. They were the only company that would do the job and they are also the only company that returned my call right away. I would definitely refer them to anyone else. The people in the office were very professional. The gentlemen who came out was also very professional.

<p>We called this provider on a Saturday afternoon after our kitchen ceiling caved in due to an ice dam leak.  Barbara, the office director, answered the phone immediately and explained that they were very busy but to explain what was going on. I explained and she clearly understood how upset we were with the damage (and continuing damage from water flow).  She personally called Bob---who was on a roof at the time----and got us scheduled.  They were there that same afternoon and Bob and two guys cleared not only the ice dam causing the problem, but a couple they were worried about as well.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>We've used Bob in the past----to fix flashing on the roof and fix a chimney----and we knew that he was a good roofer.  He's a good PERSON and owns a good COMPANY too.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Recommend :)</p> <br />

I have to say they are wonderful people.  They answer the phone every time I call.  They may be a little expensive but they do excellent work.  I highly recommend them to others.

We used them in the past and were happy with their services. In this case the rubber roof was not done properly. Some areas were leaking, they came back and fixed the leak but the damage to walls and ceiling is still there. Water puddles in some areas of the roof and around the pitch of the house the roof was not installed properly. Robert Milliard is unresponsive to our requests at this time. He initially offered to paint the areas of the ceiling and walls, but I declined as I want a professional painter to paint the walls, not a roofer.

Everything went very smoothly from beginning to end and I would recommend him to anyone in need of roofing services. <br /> <br />

Our roof started leaking during a big storm, so we called several roofing companies to come look at what was wrong and provide an estimate. Milliard Roofing responded quickly and Bob came out within a day to have a look on the roof. He took pictures of the problem areas so that I could understand what he needed to do. He then came soon after to do all the work in one afternoon and a short time the next morning. My only complaint was that they require 50% payment before they do the work, but they don't take credit cards. Since there was so little time between receiving the estimate and actually having them come to see the work, the only way to  get the payment to them was to wire it, which meant incurring an extra $20 charge from our bank. If they accepted credit cards, or were willing to accept the deposit check when they arrived, I wouldn't have any complaints. Great to work with otherwise! <br />

The provider was very responsive. They responded even on Thanksgiving Day. Few shingles on our roof came off and it exposed the roof to the weather. As it is supposed to rain in next few days, I immediately sent email requests through Angieslist to bunch of roofing contractors. Few of them responded but none were as responsive as Robert Milliard Roofing. They were first to respond to me and they showed up the next day to fix my roof. They are thorough professionals. I highly recommend them. <br />

They are very good, professional. informed me ahead and clean after job was finished. Also their manager Barbara called me when their order was delayed.

I have used them for several smaller roofing projects over the years. The owner Robert is no nonsense, he will suggest an easy simple fix if it makes sense and will save you money. They do great work and they have reasonable rates.

It was a horrible experience. I am writing a review to warn others here and am considering further action (BBB and/or small claims). After completion of the job I performed an inspection with the foreman and observed the following: <br /> 1) I saw no evidence that shingles were removed to install new flashing (no disturbance in pattern, shingles stuck together where overlapping as from extended weathering). <br /> 2) The old lead was definitely not ground out and replaced with new (the foreman admitted this). It was merely cut to the edge of the roof line and silicon sealant applied. <br /> 3) The joints between the lead were not sealed (rectified, but only after discussion with foreman). <br /> 4) The copper flashing under the lead did not appear new, but was weathered looking. <br /> 5) I don't believe the chimney was acid washed. A moth cocoon on the brick surface was still present after the job. It certainly was not allowed to dry out for two days. I met the foreman on a Tuesday morning and was informed that he could not start work until the afternoon. I received an email from the office manager (Barbara) shortly after noon on Thursday indicating all work was complete. So the entire job could not have been more than 2 days. <br /> 6) On inspection of the repointing, a number of vertical joints had been missed (foreman indicated his brother-in-law was at the site by himself and must have missed these), and an entire section of the chimney where gas pipes entered to provide a hook-up for fireplace inserts was not done (supposedly could not get a trowel in this rather sizable area). The vertical joints were 'fixed' after discussion but the side area of the chimney was not (and was not indicated as being excluded in the contract). <br /> 7) The biggest issue is with the re-pointing itself. They were supposed to have ground out the old joints and replace joints with new mortar. Instead they applied a thin layer of mortar over the existing joints (a so-called scrub joint). When I talked to the foreman he indicated he did not have a saw capable of grinding the joints (his saw only cut 2 1/2" deep. Huh??!!). So no grinding was done. <br /> 8) The major expense for this project was to be in labor. If done properly, it is time-consuming to grind all the joints and do a proper re-pointing job. However, this job was done poorly with a minimal amount of labor and materials. The scrub joints that were applied, in addition to being of poor quality and subject to quick erosion, crown above the brick face and appear sloppy and unprofessional. <br /> 9) Discussion of these issues with the company led only to superficial fixes (sealing of the lead joints, application of mortar to missed joints). When told I was unsatisfied and concerned about the re-pointing they indicated 'that's the way we do it', and that one of their sister companies inspected it and all appeared well (what a relief; sarcasm inserted here). They would not start the job until half the amount was wired to their bank account (red flag?). I will not be paying the other half and have asked for the initial deposit to be refunded. I have not yet gotten any satisfaction from this. <br /> I contacted an actual brick mason to provide an estimate for undoing the damage. He came in at $2400 if he had done it in the first place and indicated that the job done by this company was 'shameful' and 'disgusting'. In short, beware of this company. The estimate was provided by: Robert Milliard/ Dan Tremblay/ Robert Milliard Roofing/ DJ & J Construction. So watch out for any combination. They have not offered a refund or anything other than superficial fixes. I no longer will allow them on my property as I have no confidence in their integrity, veracity, or competency. <br />
