Worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. Not only they did a poor job installing the roof, because when the roof was leaking, there was water that is pouring out down the bottom underneath the wood trim of the house, because there was a big gap between the dripage and the trim board of the soffit that goes around. They corrected it by filling it with car dondo.

In October/November 2016, I researched roofing vendors on Angie's List with A ratings. We received 3 quotes; and ended up signing a contract with this company on 1/3/17. At the end of April, we were told to send them 1/2 the money of the quoted job as a deposit before they would start the work 2 weeks later - over $7,000!! We sent the check, it was cashed, and the work was never completed. Over the next 6 months they gave me multiple promises of when our roof would be done and missed every promise. Now they never answer phone calls or emails. The voicemail is so full that you can't leave a message even if you wanted to. In October 2017, we were told by Matt that we were next on the list and that the job would be done in 2 weeks - which was November 2. We are still waiting!!! There are many recent negative reviews on other sites saying the same thing. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. You an also find them listed under "RR First Coast Roofing" on Angies List. I found out today (3/1/18) that Action News JAX CBS47 Fox 30 is doing a consumer story on them. I was told that he owes over $100,000 in supplies and says he will get to the repairs he promised - it's just that the insurance companies haven't paid him. The owner says he will finish the roof repairs. I find this very interesting since we didn't have an insurance company paying him - we were paying CASH!! We've also gone to the Attorney General's office who spoke with him once. Now the owner won't answer the AG's calls. The State licensing board has put a hold on his license as well. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE.

Over all the project went well. There was some frustration on our end trying to get the job started, however, there were over 100,000 roof claims in Jacksonville after Hurricane Matthew and only 3000 roofers in the general area. I vented often to them and they were responsive and helped patch issues while waiting to get our job started. When the job got started, they moved it along quickly and did an excellent job from start to finish. This was a roof replacement based on insurance adjusters assessment from the hurricane damage. Roberts Handled all the processing of the paperwork with the insurance company and we just paid them the deductible. Total cost of the job was $26000. The job also included some internal Drywall water damage repair. The subcontractor they used for the work also did an excellent job. Hurricane deductible was $8000.

Replaced the entire roof, cleaned up and were gone I a single day. Excellent Job.

We were very happy with the work that was done.

The final product is very good but getting there was dreadful. I chose them after talking with three roofers from this list. I liked the construction foreman and his suggestions. I gave them the job in mid-November. The roof was not done until March. They forgot to ask for a down payment until I went to their office in December. Then, the project manager never responded to my phone calls or texts. The lady in the office was pleasant enough and tried to be helpful but the lack of communication from the manager was maddening. It was only wen I demanded my deposit back that I finally got action. Then their crew showed up at the appointed time and did a wonderful job, replacing a lot of sheathing and rotted wood on the eaves. They broke my TV antenna but the roof is great.... so far.

It went great. Not only did they do the work hired for, they went all over the roof looking for cracks in the tiles and sealing them at no extra charge. They are our new go-to roofers!

The technicians were on time, communicated well and listen to what I had to say. They gave an Angies list member discount of 10 percent. The initial proposal was to start the job in 2 weeks however they arrived 3 days after the proposal. With a water leak the sooner the better to get started. So KUDOS to Robert Roberts 1st Coast Roofing. The work looks great and should be watertight. If not they have a 3 year guarantee. Great company to work with and will add to llist of providers to use in the future. Happy Customer :) John

Ed was on time and provided excellent communication. The work to be performed was explained along with photos of the areas of the roof that are leaking. The estimate not only included the cost to fix the leaky areas but also a cost to recondition the roof, ie seal around flashing, replace roof caps, etc. The actual repair will occur within next 5-10 days.

Great Company with Great Employees! <br /> One of the employees had  heart surgery and before she went home to recuperate,  she went straight to the office to make sure everyone got contacted and made sure someone was coming out to look at the problem.  <br /> Ed arrived on time and immediately knew what I needed to have done and they showed up a few days later (just before our next rain storm) and had it fixed in not time.  I would definitely use this company again! <br /> Thanks for the great service. <br /> G. Ed was honest and upfront about all my options. He gave me a fair price so I went with First Coast Roofing. <br /> Everything went smoothly and it looks great. Ed stayed in contact and answered the phone every time I had a question. His crew cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for any type of roof job. I used to be a handyman and so I do most of work around my house myself, but in this case I needed an expert because I could not find the leak in my roof. I really appreciate the attention to detail First Coast did on my job and wish them the best in the future. <br /> Thanks !!! <br />
